Hey guys, so I snagged on Epic Touch last week (rocking CM7 this thing is a BEAST!!!). Anyhow, I am sending my Shift to Sprint for their buy back program. They are paying me $88 for the Shift and I got the Epic Touch for $85 from Amazon Wireless so I am essentially making three bucks to get this upgrade!
Anyhow, I need to know how to unroot and get back on the stock rom? I tried searching and did not successfully find anything. Any help would be great! Thanks guys!

Once i got my G1 that im using now (like my 6th replacement) i rooted right away. since ive had some problems with rooting on my 5th phone (my 5th g1 kept shutting off, guess it was just the phone) i decided to unroot. i think i was on 1.0 or 1.5, then i got the update to 1.6 OTA. i havn't had problems for weeks (probably a month or two) and it has started shutting off randomly. i am about to call CC. do you think they still send out replacements? i heard they give out mytouches. i like my keyboard though, and the mytouch slide keyboard is too small for me (big fingers, and its only 4 rows-wouldn't be able to get use to it.) i tried restoring, but it still doesnt work right. so all i need to know if they will still send me a g1. thanks

T-mobile has stopped selling G1's, so it is very likely that any replacement you get will be a different phone or a refurbished unit.

thanks, but say if they were to send me a mytouch, would i be able to complain that i cant type good on all touch phones, and ask nicely for like a mytouch slide?
I don't know if T-Mo will give you a MT slide. I'd think that a call to customer service is in order. T-Mo has excellent customer service (in my experience). If the first rep you talk to can't help, ask to speak to someone in the loyalty/retention department.
Well hey guys i recently got an nexus s 4g since i was on my third epic and it continued to fail, so i was wondering if once you have rooted, custom romed and overclocked your nexus is there is a way to return it to stock? Like for example if you gonna hand it over to sprint on the epic i used Odin to return it fully to stock. I know that there isnt anything much going up for the nexus s 4g still but it shouldnt take much time since its almost the same phone. I hope someone is able to awnser my question

The phone is back to stock 2.2.2 fw stock recovery, i'm just wondering if anyone else that has sent back to LG has any more useful information about what all i need to do and how much it cost them to send to LG S/H approximately. Also was including the receipt mandatory when sending back the phone, cuz i am screwed if it is as i got mine from some dude on craigslist..

although you wouldnt be the first or the last to get them to do something.
the warrenty is actually only good when purchasing through an approved retailer and buying off craigslist isnt one. so you really dont have a warrenty. But that doesnt mean they wont notice that and go ahead and do it for you. as we all know lg isnt the most together company.

Got one back today.
I just got what looks to be a new G2X back form LG today it had 2.3.3. on it when I turned it on. I had gotten it of ebay, it would not turn on or respond at all but looked new. Called LG had me keep the back cover I was never asked to send a recipe. I could'nt complaine. I belive it is still under warrenty.

I recently bought a galaxy s2, so I'm going to be selling my captivate soon. I plan on selling it on ebay and was wondering the best way to get get the most value out of it. Should I flash back to stock or put an good rom on it? should I have it rooted? I know there a way better roms than stock but I wonder if some people will prefer a stock phone rather than one that has been modified. Any suggestions?

I know it's not the same situation, but I recently sold a nook color rooted with CM7 (on Craigslist). I got multiple responds within an hour of posting. Everyone who contacted me was looking specifically for rooted and the ability to do custom ROMs. I would imagine there are plenty of people who are looking for rooted and custom rom phones.
However, be careful on how you word your item. I know both eBay and Craigslist will remove your posting if they can detect that you're selling a device with custom ROMs on it. My first posting on Craigslist was removed and I had to reword it.

Same here.. I had posted my cappy on craigslist the day i got my gs2, noted that it had 4.0.3 on it... no replies in a week. so i removed the listing, and flashed it back to stock and stuck it in the gs2 box (got it out to flash official gingerbread, then put it back in box)

I'm not really following what exactly you did?
Go back to stock....and as stated, sim unlock it. That gives you the widest audience.
I posted mine on CL and offered to return to stock or flash any ROM.
Sold it a few months ago for around $160.
I listed mine on CL with ics and had a buyer with in a day at $150.
Basically my girlfriends evo shift has pretty much bitten the dust, the backlight on the screen only works sporadically and i really don't want to fuss with trying to replace the cable, I just want to return it to sprint and get a replacement handset for her ( I know it's EOL but we can't upgrade till next year hoping replacement wont cost too much). I've been cruising the forums as well as google, trying to find a way to get it back to stock from CM7, I have read all the forum threads about how to do it I'm just having a couple issues.
1. none of the links for the ruus or roms seem to work anymore, I'm not being able to reach multiupload, don't know if its the firewall here or if the site is just buggered, anyone have an alternative d/l site?
2. HTC sync can't find the phone, windows definitely finds it ok, but htc sync says no device is connected, any thoughts?
I'd appreciate any help/thoughts anyone might have, I have full protection on our handsets so if there might even be a way to just bypass this and get sprint to replace the handset, I'd be fine with that too, I've got her info backed up so I'm rearin to get this thing done.
* weird side note, we replaced her handset last year on the 11th of April going from palm pre to the shift because her pre's keyboard stopped working, she may be annually cursed..
