BB0 and Root With WW 8.6.5.21 Working Method ! - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I now Rooting BB0 with WW Firmware 8.6.5.21: with this method:
1 - Format SD card with 16GB NTFS (I tried this method to format 5 times)
2 - Copy the file and EP101_SDUPDATE.zip WW_epad-user-8.6.6.19.zip on the micro SD and internal memory of the pad. (Actually I do not know which works but when in doubt I copy both)
3 - The pad is started, connected to the PC. Insert the SD card into the slot. The pad recognizes an update. Open this update and wait 10 minutes the installation is done.
4 - restarts the pad, you do not lose your programs and it is up to date.
5 - Copy the file to your RecoveryInstaller.apk Razorclaw_1.0.1.apk and pad to be root.
6.End
This method worked because I have redone 5 times by formatting my micro SD.
I hope this is helpful.

Lot of thanks for this forum and others users !!!!

Hi,
Just trying to follow your procedure.
I'm stuck at the very beginning: I've got a 4Gb microSD (I had in my Blackberry).
How am I supposed to format it?
I think this is the key because it doesn't work!!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Format it on your PC. Best to use a program like SD Formatter.

Thanks mate!
It worked, it was a pain but I am rooted now...
Just about to launch recoveryinstaller.
As I am running a BB0 TF, is it really safe? I've heard nasty things about bootchip for this revision.
Thanks,
Will

Nope, BBO is simply the build date: in hex format, B's value is 11, so build date is 2011.11, or November, 2011

What's your memory card model?
I have two memory cars, one is Transcened which I can't update with that (no image found) and one is SanDisk which I update my device with that. So, check your memory card compatibility and be sure it is formatted to FAT32.

[Q] How do I Flash ClockworkMod Recovery after I Razorclaw Root?

This one click method called Razorclaw came out today and I rooted it no problem. The problem is that the stock recovery is still installed and I have no clue how to install Roach2010's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213723) port of CWM Recovery onto my TF. If anyone can post a detailed step by step on how to do that, I will greatly appreciate it. Please and thank you in advance!
In that Razorclw thread look for Gnufabio's Recoveryinstaller app.
It will install cwm recovery
RazorClaw and Gnufabio's Recoveryinstaller app worked perfectly on my new Transformer B80.
Thanks alot but that doesnt seem to be working. just looks like something is flashing then just reboots and i try rebooting into recocery and it just reboots.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
Alright thank you for the help. I finally found out I had to press the volume down button then volume up after I did the recovery app.

You could also try this from the market

I try and make a backup after following the two steps above, but it errors saying it can't mount /sdcard. Not sure if its referring to the internal memory or my sd card. I have a b70 and have been itching to install a rom since I bought it.

It store the backup to the external micro sd card. If you have one and it can't mount, try to format it again on a PC
I have my sd card formated to exFat to support files over 4 GB, do I have to go back to Fat32?

[Q] Revolution HD

Hi,
After reading almost everything here on this site I still can't install Revolution HD on my TF 101. First it was difficult to get root acces, but now I have root acces, now my external SD card is nowhere to be seen.
When I push volume down and power everything goes well, untill I want to go to my sd card.
On my phone everything went well, but when I have root acces on my phone the text is gold and on my TF101 the text in root acces is blue.
I don't know if this is important but I thought let's mention it anyway.
I really hope somebody can tell me how I can find my sd card with the Revolution HD zip file.
I did everything what they say here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892
You have to put the zip file on your internal storage, not your microSD card.

I'm not fully sure myself, but, I believe this depends on the version of clockworkmod you installed. Version 3 supports SDcard install while version 5 does not. I ran into this recently because I like installing roms from my sdcard.

I had the exact same problem, after flashing a couple of JB ROMS, I came back to Revolution. The fix I found was to enable MTP option on the tablet.
Settings ->Storage -> USB Computer Connection (Tap the 3 vertical squares at the top right) -> Select Media device (MTP).
Hope this helps.

[Q] Recovery with exFat support ?

Hi,
Does someone know about a CWM version or other recovery for Honor 6 that supports ExFat formatted MicroSD card ?
Thanks,
Seb
Yes, it supports
Hi
Thanks, which CWM are you using ?
The one I got didn't recognise exFat SD Card. CWM doesn't see the card, I have to use a FAT32.
I've got a CWM 6.0.5.1 for Huawei H60.
exFAT in Honor 6
Look at these pictures I uploaded here.
I have proved that it's work for Honor 6 supporting of SDCARD with exFAT format.
The SDCARD I use now: SanDisk 64G
File fomat: exFAT
CWM Version: 6.0.5.1, which is the same as yours.

Thanks, it's quite strange. I also have a Sandisk 64Go card but with the H60-L04.
I get :
E: Can't mount /storage/sdcard1
but I don't have the EMUI logo in my CWM baground but a droid getting out of a box.
maybe it's not exactly the same ?
Here it is :
Can you give me a link to your version ?

Hi,soma900:
Here it is:
https://mega.co.nz/#!8wMVDQhI!SVpvnrz4WexesjCHR9jJYHBmaJXkOa6G2LHpvgbSOV8
Reminding:
1). Download this RAR file and extract to somewhere in your HDD. Remember to install Honor 6 USB driver in your WIN7 or WIN8 at first before going next couple of steps.
2). Connect your Honor 6 USB cable to any one of your USB ports and turn on USB debug mode in your Honor 6.
3). Get into the folder you extract RAR file and click the Run.bat file. Then you will enter CMD mode
4). Two steps that teach you how to go next step. Just press any key to continue if you have done 2).
5). Then 3 options you will see on your CMD window: (a).Flash EN/zh-CN CWM;(b)Flash official REC;(3)Exit
So if you want to flash English version of CWM => Choose (a); if you want to flash back official Recovery => Choose (b)
That's all and enjoy it.
P.S.
Remember to flash back official Recovery if you want to flash stock UPDATE.APP ROM.

Downloaded, flashed, worked like a charm. Made a nandroid backup it took unusually long period but worked on the exFAT-formatted external card.
One made this CWM is KangVIP, right? He is a well-recognized android developer from China. Pitty he himself never come to XDA. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot !
I'll try it quickly. so quickly that it is done.
Working for me.
Thanks again.
Yes, I got this file from KangVIP. He is really good at Honor 6 ROM development as well. Why doesn't he join XDA honor 6 forum? I think it must be blocked by China's Great Wall which is the firewall created by China government. I think so...

TWRP Pie issues or am I an idiot?

Are there known issues w/ TWRP for Pie on our device where it can't decrypt the external SD card? (Yes, I searched, but the only thing I could find were people suggesting that people search for answers, so that didn't help much).
I unlocked the bootloader, adb'ed TWRP 3.2.3-5 temporarily, but no matter what I do TWRP can't mount my SD card. I've set an unlock p/w and a decrypt p/w and neither allow me to view the contents of the SD card. I also formatted the SD card but TWRP was only able to see it after i changed it to EXT2 then to EXT4, but then it reverts to not seeing it after rebooting the device and dropping Magisk onto the card itself.
So now I'm stuck w/ unlocked stock Pie which isn't rooted because I can't flash Magisk. I was unable to find a way to adb Magisk onto the device to avoid TWRP, but alas, I don't think that's possible.
So, am I an idiot (100% likely) or are there known issues where we can't actually root via TWRP (either temp install or perm install) and I've just got to be patient until it happens? (Or maybe downgrade to Oreo, root, flash an Oreo ROM e.g. LeeDroid then update it through Magisk).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dunno about this as i relocked mine but mine was working fine from SDCARD, btw latest version of twrp is 3.3.1-0, apart from this why not putting magisk zip and magisk manager into phone storage and flash from there instead of using SDCARD?

It's nothing to do with the format of the Sdcard, it won't mount anything larger than 32gb when flashing from the Sdcard (Sdcard ruu flashing) it also won't allow you to flash magisk in temp twrp, Ive tried formatting all cards i have ,then tried again. In one of the main instructions of rooting it says no bigger than 32gb can be used. I can flash HTC 10,U11 & U11+ using a 128gb card but not the U12+ ,it won't recognise it in the bootloader /download mode when trying flash but works with any 32gb card I've tried (fat or exfat) I'm using a cheapy, this caused me no end of grief when I tried to root, twrp 3.3.1 was the only version I could boot twrp (2.47.709.1 htc 621)

It won't mount Sdcard for flashing if bigger 32gb, had to buy a card lol, you can downgrade on HTC u12+ . I bricked mine & went to 1.53.709.3 ,took ages though & several reboots after flashing Sdcard method, there's a exodus thread on how to do it, I did it on dugl imagine ruu, Sdcard method. Have you looked on Android file host for ruu?
