I've found a really cheap htc sensation on the internet, and the seller is selling it as faulty.
The phone is in perfect working order, except for it is unable to make/receive calls or send/receive texts. He says that it is unlocked, but has not used it for ages.
I was wondering what u guys thought.. should i buy it and see if its an easy fix - maybe a sim card issue, or radio problem.
Please give me your opinions on what you think the problem could be and how to fix it... the auction ends in an hour!!
Thanks a lot.
I know it's too late for a reply.. but it sounds like a radio issue...

i have a unlocked htc touch pro with t mobile service i just called t mobile tech support told them my problem so instead of helping they referred me to htc support but i never got thru.
anyways what's happening is i can receive texts, pictures etc etc but i cant send anything but i don't get an error message the text goes thru but the person never receives it i've had this problem for about 2 weeks and had the phone for 7-8 months can someone please assist me?
im thinking maybe while the phone was in my pocket or jacket since the screen wasnt locked maybe i hit something without noticing it.
try a soft reset, if not, a hard reset(be sure to backup files) and if that doesnt solve anything, its possibly a network issue, reception could be a factor idk, but try one of the 2 and reply back asap if anything happens
if you are able to send them out of your phone, its most probably something with your connection. for a gsm one, try using the same sim on another fone.
if you arent able to send them out of your phone and they just cant get sent, try toggling your 3g connection, this worked for me.
hope this helps
Hello,
Ihave a really annoying problem with my wildfire s, I can't connect to the mobile Internet.
with the sim of my sister it works perfectly, and when I put mine in her phone it doesn't work either.
Can someone help me???
Yo need to call the company. Maybe they are blocked your phone number to access GPRS.
they also bloked phone ?
I agree - your phone is not the problem at all. Get in touch with your service provider. Is your bill up to date?

I had a problem before where I couldn't connect to the internet after an upgrade. They might need to grab the IMEI number off your phone. I know that fixed my problem.
I'm not sure what your problem is, but it's definitely an issue with your service provider and not your phone.
Hi I am using the ATT HTC VIVID
I bought this phone last Nov 11, and I stated noticing my phone was not receiving any calls if I stay at home(jersey city). If anyone calls to my number it will not connect at the same time it will not sent to voicemail also. It will say "call couldn't be completed".
After 2 months fight with ATT, they tried
1. they did a factory reset on my phone - it didn't help
2. changed the sim card - it didn't help
3. finally they replaced a another HTC vivid
even that didn't help
finally they said there was issue in near to my home and they fixed it.
now i a started receiving calls but now the issue i am having is, if I call to my number it will not connect first time it will go to voicemail, and second time if i try then it will ring. (First time also my phone is idle) This is happening randomly and ATT is not helping on this situation. As per them I am not able to replicate when they were testing on my phone.
Because of this issue I am missing calls which is making me really frustrated. After three week of research I found this is happening in not only near to my home its happening at my work place (NYC) and if I go around also its happening.
Can someone please give some advice to fix the issue that would be really great
Sounds like an issue that IMEI is conflicting :'(
Low end cheap bro.....
First of all, thanks for the response
But I am not getting the answer clearly
Can you please explain more and what should I do
Do I need to contact ATT or something
Hi, yesterday I bought a phone from craiglist (it was stuck in a bootloop so I fixed it) once I got it fixed I rooted the phone again and flashed the custom rom.
When it started it said that it's network blocked so I unlocked the phone using PG58DIAG.nbh (could this be the issue?)
Now I can't make any calls or send any messages BUT I still have a signal. When I want to make a call all I can hear is a small beep and then it ends the call.
Do you think that I could call HTC and say that I can't turn the phone on? After putting it to stock rom and turning S-ON again.
Or is there any way to unblock the IMEI legally? Maybe going to the town centre to guys with the stall?

Hi,
IMEI blocked sounds like a stolen phone to me...
Yeah, it was listed as bricked and since I know something about Android phones I bought it for a good price. Well after I have unbricked it I got this surprise :\
Any ideas about how to get around it? I don't really want to return it to HTC or Provider since I have actually bought it.

Hi,
Nothing that we could legally talk about on XDA...
Yeah, I get what you mean. But do you think that if I put S-ON etc. Would HTC accept the return?
I have this phone from 2 weeks. It works fine but i have a desesperating problemi with call
this is my signal gsm screenshot during a call
you can find the image attached
Data were disabled during this call. I was in movement but in a Street that i know and where every my old phone work perfectly with my provider (Wind - Italy)
Every time that the line went to 3%, I lost the call. It happens every 5-10minutes. I had original rom, now i Have CYanomod 11 but nothing changed... can someone help me? Maybe I have a phone with hardware problem?
The same diagram without call looks fine and no lost signal in the same zone.
thanks you!
Sounds like a bad SIM card mod...
If @CornholioGSM did it, I'm sure he'll be able to help you out. Even if he didn't, I'm sure he'll help out... but the fee may be different

I bought the phone modded directly in Italy in EBay, but if someone can help me, I will be very happy! Fee isn't important
thanks!
