Best Radio for TMobile USA? - HTC Sensation

While my radio seems to be mostly working, I don't know if any other would work better or give me faster speeds. It seems my data reception is a bit variable, sometimes web pages load slow enough not to seem like 3G, other times speed is decent.
I have TMobile USA in a 3/4g area, InsertCoin 3.4.4, and radio 10.58.9035.00P_10.15.9035.02_2. What is considered best Radio and RIL for TMobile USA?

I was just hoping to hear from other TMobile users who have knowledge of radios. Before I start flashing radios, I want to have reason to think the one I am putting will be better, as I understand there is some risk.

No problem (TMOUS is TMObile USa btw)
I had bad luck myself with 10.58. Drained my battery too fast.
The Radio and RIL i suggested are the ones that come on the phone with the Gingerbread update.

Saint Louis, where we have 10mhz of AWS.

I would like to go to the 10.56 radio and ril .169. I understand the safest way to flash the radio is to flash a RUU, updating the ROM as well. I would like to get rid of the InsertCoin anyway as I am having another issue with it. I want to keep clockwork, the factory unlocked state and root. This phone was an Asian factory unlocked phone, but I want an English RUU. Any recommendations?

Actually, i realized that I have a mismatch between my RIL and my radio (I didn't change yet). (This is how the seller set my phone up, as I bought it used.)
I have 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 with HTC-RIL 2.2.0169HMQ.
From the RIL thread, I see that if I am to have 10.58, I should have this RIL
HTC-RIL 2.2.0173HMQ from the new Sensation XE RUU!
Radio versions 10.15.9035.02_2
Actually, I plan to switch to the 10.56 radio, and I already have its RIL, so I will skip flashing the RIL.

ril 169 and 10.56 - 01M
This one has work for me in Tmo, Puerto Rico

Testing the latest radio and ril from 3.25fw ICS 4.0.3 sense 3.6 ROMS (Coredroid 4)
I am not so sure if I having equal reception, maybe a little be slightly lower or intermittently lower.

[Q] Recommend me a radio?

So I've been searching for the past couple days, but I'm coming up with a lot of conflicting info, and some stuff I just can't find. I've got a TMOUS Sensation 4G, S-off, running the latest InsertCoin 4.03 ROM, and I'm just not getting the same signal quality I got with my Mytouch 4G. Used to get at least 1, maybe 2 bars of HSPA at my house, but all the Sensation seems to pick up is EDGE. Can someone recommend me a radio, and a corresponding RIL? It'd be great if you can link me to it too, as I see some radios mentioned here and there that aren't linked in the radio thread. If it helps, I live in Eastern Massachusetts. Thanks much.
same situation
Hi,
I live in Boston MA.
Before I installed custom ROM, I had 4G speed with T-Mobile.
Now after installing customer ROM, I am only able to get on EDGE.
Radio: 11.21.3504.13_2
RIL: htc-ril 4.0.0012HMQ
I installed custom ROM: SensationBlitz and did not back up my old ROM so can't go back.
Anyone have success with 4G speed in Boston on HTC Sensation with T-Mobile, if so what radio / RIL?
THANKS!
No response yet, but I was able to return to stock ROM and get very good 4G speed in Boston..
I will post once I find out my radio and ril

[Q] Horrible Internet Speeds, whats the deal?

No matter what RIL+Radio combination I try, no matter what APN trick I do, I can not get my Inspire to reach satisfactory speeds. My speedtest result are ~350kbps down and ~700 up. I see other people posting much higher speeds. When tethered to my laptop, It wont even stream youtube vids. It hardly loads them. I am using Android Revolution 7.0.3 with recommended radio. Any one have any advice? I am living in the barracks right now and I cant have internet installed and this is killing me!
A couple things. Location is a big factor in speed. You should only be comparing your speeds to others in your immediate area, on the same network of course. Also, when you flash a radio, you need to give it 24 to 48 hours to settle in. Make sure you're doing that. If you flash the recommended radio for ARHD, you don't need the RIL. It's already built into the ROM.
I flashed the att RIL with the att Radio.. just went back to the AR recommended radio where can I find the AR RIL? do i have to reflash the rom? I am in an area that should have fast HSDPA. I was at the att store about 5 minutes from my barracks and their devices were getting much faster speeds on the same network... Any recommended Radio+RILs for North Carolina?
So is there a reason why I am capped at 300 kbps download? anyone else having this issue? ive been trying to figure this out all night it didnt used to be this slow

Did you read my post? The RIL for the ARHD recommended radio is built into the ROM. You just need to flash the radio.

I don't think you read his post. He stated he installed a new RIL and wants to go back to the ARHD RIL.
@onelesssblues.....You know the recommended Radio so just get the matching RIL from the Inspire Radio sticky in the Developmental section.

Bad service.

My service keeps dropping. It was working fine and then I flashed the radio for ARHD. It started after that on every ROM I flash. I ran the latest firmware update, which is supposed to change the radio, but I am getting the same issue. Any advice?

Can you remember your previous radio ? If so revert to that and see if it improves.
If you flash the newest firmware 3 times, Your just flashing the same radio 3 times.
Look for the Sensation Radio & RIL Thread, and test out some other radios

When I try to change the radio, it says that it loads it... But when I go into the software, it's not showing the new radio. That's the problem I am having. I do not recall the radio I had.
My problem is that regardless of what I do, it still shows the same radio. It does not show the changed radio.
I've changed it now, but I seem to be getting the same problem. I've tried every radio for ICS and they are all doing the same thing. They just drop signal. I completely lose signal and then it shows now bars.

Just small question
You are flashing matching RIL too right for the radio. One common problem happens when radio and ril doesn't match is that service drops pretty frequently which seems to be your case

Actually, I was flashing the right RIL. I found out what it was, it was user error, really. I had WiFi on the entire time, and the ROMs drop power to signal boost when WiFi is on, once I turned WiFi off, I was not having any further problems. So, it was me, nothing actually wrong with the device.

Bell Sensation 4G for use on ATT radio issue

So, I imported a sensation 4G from canada (Bell) and have now S-off, unlocked, rom'd, unlocked CID . everything. since i flashed ARHD my signal has had more issues and switched back and forth from H to 3g alot. I also get higher ping and slower data test speeds with the new ROM
current baseband version is 11.69.3504.00u_11.22.3504.07_M
should i flash something different?
using on AT&T
ive been reading
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202867&page=1
but im not sure if thats a different radio than what i already have
well i hate to break it to ya but all the radios gave me the same signal strength. i didnt test data speeds though cuz i dont have a data plan. you can still try out the different radios and compare, but ive tried all of them looking for better signal and their all the same

Then how come my signal was better and I got 2mbps faster DL before i updated?
I've messed around with radio files and ril's with my Bell Sensation (on Bell) and thus far for signal I'm using Radio_11.69B.3504.00U_11.24.3504.10_M and RIL HTC-RIL 4.0.0024HMQ
I did notice variations in signal numbers when trying out different radio's and ril's.

The other thing that I noticed tonight when trying out different kernels like faux123, sebastien, bricked is in my stationary tests I'd almost swear there was some variances as well.
flashed Radio_11.69B.3504.00U_11.24.3504.10_M and RIL HTC-RIL 4.0.0024HMQ and went in the same spot on my desk from 3 bars to 4 and H is staying on.. further testing to come..
the Ookla speedtest app wont work for some reason.. only shows 7kbps ..
but my ping is still > 200ms but when i first got it it was 111ms
onward

Best Radio?

I am running the leaked ATT I727UCLE2 radio and I always find my phone switching from 3g to H+. I usually get data drops that require reboots at least once per day. Am I alone here or is this what to expect from the leaked radios? Are there better radios out that I can try?

Depends on weather or not your on ics or GB
I have run ucle2 on practically every rom in our threads . Ics and GB both no problems.
Might be my location though. I am in a non-lte area.

Are you on an ICS rom? If so check your APN values, I had the same problem on AOKP and noticed the values were completely off.
Im running ucle2 and i get the same H+ to 3G problem. I'm on rogers though. I'm gonna try flashing the stock rogers modem and see where it goes.

I am the same. I find the reception on this phone so awful. It's always losing connection and can't keep H+.
There is no such thing as a "best" radio. One radio will work better for one person than someone else. Give what ever radio a try and see if you like it, and if it doesn't work give another radio a try. Just make sure that what ever radio you flash is for the proper android release and you should be good.
