[Q] 2-Way Call Recording? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Has anyone been able to get two-way call recording on this phone? Would appreciate tips on ROMS or apps with this capability. (I tried Total Recall, but no success).
Thanks.

TY - OK to use this kernel with TPC's "TPC v3 2.3.5 | Da_G OC Kernel | IMG Flash | ATT | Rogers |" ROM?

I also use TPC's "TPC v3 2.3.5 | Da_G OC Kernel | IMG Flash | ATT | Rogers |" ROM and I have been using CallRecorder 1.0.43 and it works perfectly to record all incoming and outgoing calls.

Hi,
can you tell me which one you use. there're many applications on the market that are called "CallRecorder."
thanks.

Yes the kernel will work but all you need is the call recording apk in the thread. No sod with that kernel.

This is what I am using:

21/May r1.1 - MoDaCo Custom Kernel (MCK) for HTC Desire

I've rustled up a MCK (MoDaCo Custom Kernel) for the HTC Desire, based on a configuration that myself and Teknologist have built up over time.
THIS KERNEL IS PACKAGED WITH THE MCR R3 RAMDISK and as such probably won't work on other ROMs!
It's not undervolted, underclocked, overclocked or anything like that, it's just tweaked and massaged to run your device as nicely as possible as well as giving you the extra cool stuff you need like support for EXT4, enhanced support for Wireless Tether and suchlike.
It'll be included in future MCR release, but for now, it's an update zip to apply via the recovery image. Enjoy - feedback appreciated!

Does it fix the BT issues?
DO NOT APPLY this kernel.
paul has confirmed at modaco forums that there is a failure in the clock speeds and that he will release a r2... it will stay @768Mhz so it will drain your battery faster. wait till r2.. pretty sure it will come fast

The new kernel gives support for ext3/4? Does this mean that the stock kernel does not support ext3?

well video still doesnt play well with DHD rom using this kernel. I think they must have different camera/video drivers or something. Its just weird that 2 phone with the same hardware dont 100% play well with each other software and driver wise. I can understand kernel differences but..
what rom are u using ? some are using old libs stock rooted sense should be fine also CM needs some more kernel work ....
also could someone please pull me /proc/config.gz ?

Best Kernel for =GR-12= By MikeyMike01

looking for other kernals that are safe and better than Reorient_Kernel_1.1 that is told to be used in installation? any help is appreciated....
I use Talons 0.1.6.
Lets you apply an Ext4 lagfix. Combine that with 1.2 Ghz OC, and it's blazin'.
How about I9000 reoriented vG.1.2 05.10.2011
1.2 is way better than 1.1

Either XCal's latest re-oriented stock, or the latest Talon.
As anyone around here will tell you, there is no "best" anything. What works best for you, won't for someone else.
At the moment there is a certain dearth of Samsung compatible 2.3.X kernels. Back in the day we had a number of different 2.2.X kernels, but for now, Existz is kind of keeping everyone alive with his Talon kernel.
There are also a few developers working on CM7 kernels, but those will not work with Samsung derived 2.3.3 ROMs (which everything that's not CM7 is).

Call recording for me was a hit-or-miss thing. Try flashing different kernels. Which kernel from Imoseyon did you flash? Not all of his kernels support in call recording I think.
Here's a nice link to all the kernels for our phone.

Best Kernel with WeaponG2X ROM ?!

I can't seem to download Faux kernal nor Dragon, there files are missing? Is there any other kernels best stable with Weapon ROM?
Isn't Weapon a modified Stock ROM (2.3.3)?? You're only gonna be able to use Kernels for the stock ROMS. Faux is the only one I know of that has a kernel series for the Stock ROMS. Check out the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102720

I've always used faux with stock ROMs.
I may be wrong, but I thought Trinity was for CM7 ROMs. I used it with the CM7 Nightly Build 135.1, worked great. But as for stock, I've always used the 2 faux kernels I've uploaded.
This is the latest faux GB kernel:
P999-GB-Kernel-014b2-ext4.zip
Linky: http://www.freefilehosting.net/p999-gb-kernel-014b2-ext4
If you have any issues, which I haven't had any thus far and been on my current setup for almost two weeks, you can try this older version:
P999-GB-Kernel-013_r2-ext4.zip
Linky: http://www.freefilehosting.net/p999-gb-kernel-013r2-ext4
I don't know your experience level with this stuff. You don't have to re-install the ROM when changing kernels. Just make sure you wipe/format "cache" and "dalvik cache". Let it boot up and don't do anything for ten minutes. Than reboot again and your good to go. This is how I have done it and I've rarely encountered any issues.
Let me know if this helps and I'll be around doing homework for my IT class, so feel free to post back or PM me directly.
Thanks! I'm going to try it right now. Have you used any other stock ROMs? If you did, which one would you prefer?

I've used dang near every single ROM available for our G2x.
Stock? It's a coin toss between BuROM and kwes's Rooted Stock. Personally I use BuROM as it is based off of kwes's ROM but a coulpe tweaks. The 2 I can remember off hand is the VM Heap Size is increased to 64MB and the SD read ahead size increased from 128KB to 2048KB. I think BuROM is just a hair faster than kwes's ROM.
BuROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661610
kwes's Rooted Stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602798
Both are 2.3.4.
I did use weapon, and I liked it. Can't remember why, but I switched back to 2.3.4 because there was something missing from Weapon's 2.3.3
What baseband are you on?

Does it say March 2011 in it? We need to make sure you have the right baseband for the ROM your using or if we need to apply the new_baseband.zip patch to it.
Wifi not working? Hmmm...try GETRil from the playstore. But you need to make sure the baseband issue is correct first.
