Keyboard Dock - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Does anyone know if the Keyboard Dock for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will work on the 7.0 Plus?

i think it work ...

The keyboard for the 10.1 will work but the 7+ doesn't seem very stable in it due to the size differences.

Why not just use a Bluetooth keyboard? I strongly suggest apple's wireless keyboard due to exceptional durability, great battery life (about 6 month on 2 aa batteries. And overall great tactile feedback

I can confirm it works but it is not the safest thing to do. I think maybe the original keyboard dock or a bluetooth keyboard would be much better.

[Q] Flexible Bluetooth Keyboard

What do you guys think about the compatibility of a flexible bluetooth keyboard that is being sold on ebay? I'm looking for something compact that I can fit in my pocket and take to class to take notes. It says that it is compatible with Android. Anyone have any experience with it?
lol y do u need one of these things, the android keyboard is pretty good
yeah the android keyboard is pretty good. But I definitely can type faster on a full sized keyboard. And I'm sure others can also.
So the question remains. Is the G2x capable to link to a bluetooth keyboard and possibly a mouse also? Anyone tried it, yet?
This one works good with the ps3 and lots of android phones

That thing is tiny. Looks like you can only type with your thumbs or peck at it with one of your fingers.
I'm looking at something more like this:

or this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/G-Tech-Wire..._Trackballs&hash=item3f10b4bd1f#ht_961wt_1139
But they don't look like they can connect to an android though.
I used an old apple bluetooth keyboard lying around. It paired and connected as a HID (Human Interface Device). Needed no configuration, it took over the keyboard automatically. You can navigate menus with it aswell. I've never tried a mouse though.
Ive even used a full sized Logitec desktop Bluetooth keyboard (mx-5000) and it paired up just fine.

Really??? Why doesn't anyone talk about this? My case converts to a landscape kickstand so I could prop it up while typing. I wonder if I could use it in a coffee house like a laptop after all? Hmmmmmm!
The only rom I ever got to work with a bluetooth keyboard for the G2x was with CM7. Be aware that it might have to come down to flashing your phone to this Rom if you decide you do want to use a BT keyboard.
My only concern would be how difficult it would be to see the screen if you're four feet away in a comfortable typing position.
And if you're getting a full sized keyboard, lugging it around would be a pain. Easier to just use a laptop if you have one.

It's better faster does stuff other tablets can't do and it's not made by apple

My dads has got the tf300 and I have the note 10.1.
The ft300 is nice and I like the keyboard and is good for my dad. However the pen for the note comes in more handy.
The note does seems snappier than the tf300 too.
I also think the note 10.1 is a nicer looking tablet. The tf300 does feel cheaper.
Tf300 is on a deal from newegg... $400 for both tablet and keyboard... awesome deal.

But note is a better tablet.

Just sold tf300 for Note which is quicker, brighter, and has features that suit me better
Miss the keyboard and USB port but bought a 2.99 adapter.
Not sure I've helped you really but I wouldn't go back

The only choice here is between keyboard dock and S-pen. The keyboard dock will give you extra Usb port and extra battery along with having a keyboard itself. The S-pen will give you greater content creation ability and the Note already has a great battery. Everything else is better on the note. Better performance, better reliability, split screen function and faster web browsing. The note will cost you more though. You should try them both out and see if the cost difference is worth it to you.
Simple. Because based on what's been posted your odds of getting any Asus tablet without issues is anywhere from 3:1 up to 8:1. The TF201, TF300, and TF700 are all based on the same year-old design, use second-tier components, and, if your read their forums, suffer from a wide range of common issues. The Note supports 5GHz Wi-Fi, BT 4.0, GPS with Glonass support, and is built with tier-one components.
Read this comparison thread that's been running between the TF700 and Note. All the issues discussed with the TF700 apply to the TF300 also. Other than the keyboard dock and battery boost it provides and the HDMI port there's not a single feature or component that's better on the TF300 than the Note. If you need the dock and/or price is a big consideration at least do some research first so you know what you're getting yourself in to.

Coming from a TF201 which is not that different from the TF700 ( the Cadillac of ASUS Brand tablets) I can tell you wireless speeds, browser responsiveness and GPS acquisition time is a hell of alot faster.
In the TF201, 300 and 700 they are using cheap NAND which is causing browser and I/O issues. The wireless and GPS issues are due to the metal back-plate. Sure the 300 and 700 have a plastic window to address thy but very little R&D was done. Therefore very little optimizations are in place.
Don't take my word for it... go to their forums and see complaints. Selling my Prime and taking a loss on it (for a Note) was the best choice I ever made.
I've just sold asus transformer prime. The wireless conection was very bad... and i don't want to buy asus devices anymore.
But i think the choice depend on ur opinion. TF had extend keyboard(note 10.1 had one but u have to buy) and high resolution, however u might not use stylus with palm rejection. GN 10.1 is useful to study and draw sth.
Goodluck

can anyone recommend a bluetooth keyboard that works well with this tablet?

Not sure if size means anything to you. I picked up the Motorola keyboard that has the slide-out trackpad : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006291K7A/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's slightly thicker and bigger than i'd like - especially for pairing w/ an 8" tablet. I do think in regards to functionality the android-specific keys and slide-out trackpad are awesome. the touchpad clicks so certain functions (like dragging) require you to push down and drag - took me a while to figure out at first. When you first use it, the cursor travels a very short distance per your finger movement compared to most laptops, but I set the mouse speed to the highest in the settings for the Note 8 and for me that is the more natural feeling when using the touchpad.
it doesn't come with a stand for the tablet or case/cover for the keyboard - but the case I bought for the tablet already can stand it up.
Look up the reviews for it on Amazon and the majority are really positive.

Ditto, and I also have the Logi with out the light and both work fine on both my Note 10.1 and the Note 8.
I second what has been said about the Logitech K810. Very nice bluetooth keyboard, with backlighting, and great battery life. It also handles different devices without issue. I have it paired with my Samsung Note 8, iPad v4, and Samsung Galaxy Note II. It saves 3 device profiles so you can quickly switch between them if needs be. The keys have decent travel as well.
Plus it just seems better made than most portable bluetooth keyboards with the darker brushed aluminum look.

K810 is a great keyboard... only issue was no case. I've been using the Klein 5139B tool bag as a case. I am able to hold both my nexus 7 and this keyboard. Should be able to fit the Galaxy 8.
I bought the following one, and I love it so much!!

I recently bought the german layout version of the following BT keyboard:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Slim-Wi...tra-Slim(4mm)+Wireless+Bluetooth+3.0+Keyboard
I'm quite impressed with it's build quality and tactile feedback.
Battery life seems to be excellent until now and the weight and size compliment the Note 8 very well in my opinion.
Watch out though! I'm only talking about the "slim keyboard" selection at Amazon for 26$, not the black or white versions. Those are completely different products "featuring" quite a large hump on their back...

Yoko

Product description makes me wonder how are you gonna carry it -> "Dimensions:*238 x 130 x 4 inches"
Seriously though, it does look nice. Do you know if the battery is replaceable ?

Was pretty surprised when it arrived, it's a pretty big package.
Seriously, the keyboard is very slim, leightweight and well built.
It has only two very tiny tiny screws, thats all there is in regard to opening the device.
The built in LiPo battery is certainly not ment to be user replaceable, but it could probably be done I reckon.
It will however be a proper HW hack, voiding warranty etc...
Regards, Yoko
Yet another fan of the logitech K810. I use it for my Tab 10.1, Tab 2 7 and now my Note 8. Great keyboard and capable of retaining the conductivity settings for 3 separate devices.

I'm using this one-

I use the stardard Apple wireless bt keyboard (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC184T/B/apple-wireless-keyboard?fnode=0001030825).
It is expensive and... Apple, but it works great and it's very light to carry (in case you need an external keyboard).
I like the Logitech K810, it's compact and useful for me (programmer). It's also a 3-way toggle that you hit a key and can change between pairings, so I'm able to switch between my tablet and my workstation.
Note: Samsung stock ROMs and keyboard suck at keyboard handling vs AOSP.
I am using the logitech bluetooth easy switch keyboard. It works really well with note 8.0 I am currently using it for my Windows Laptop/ Note 2 Hand phone / Note 8.0 tablet

The keyboard I ordered came Monday, and I would highly recommend it.
Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810. Very good build quality, and lovely to type on when you have lots to type. Very easy to use. Light, easy to carry around. Backlighting option is awesome, and having the toggling devices makes it a versatile thing indeed. Most I ever paid for a keyboard honestly, but I expect to get use out of it for years yet. Amazon had a good price.
I have this one - http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/tablet-keyboard-android-win8-rt?crid=1242
Haven't used it a lot yet but so far so good. What they kinda fail to mention on the site is that it is pretty damn heavy though, not really cheap either. Is really solid and feels nice though and the stand works great.

Logitech keyboard

Today I received my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (T805) and the Logitech cover with keyboard. Works like a charm and fit perfectly. http://mobile.logitech.com/nl-nl/product/type-s-keyboard-case-galaxy-tab-s-10
I also got that keyboard/case. I personally dont mind it too much...the logitec keyvoard i had for my former ipad 3rd genn hey better key placement i think, maybe i just am mot use to this one yet.

[Q] Current best keyboard

I have been doing a lot of research and so far my results have basically told me that the HTC keyboard not even worth half its list value. I have been eyeballing are the Logitech K480 and Keys-To-Go.
Anyone have any recommendations?
I just picked up the jelly comb keyboard that has the 7 different back-lit colors... I'll have it tomorrow. Hopefully it's good. For me a big thing I need is for the keyboard to match the same size as the tablet. The jelly looked like a perfect fit.

Let me know what you think of it. I've seen the jelly comb keyboards and for the price they look pretty good.
Will do. I also picked up an otg cable after realizing the nexus 9 has full otg support. This should be awesome! Possibly having keyboard and mouse gaming would make this tablet incredible... Plus all other functionality too would be great!

I have the keyboard now. It's a nice keyboard. It's a little noisy and the typing is precise but not the greatest. I've got a Rapoo keyboard for my desktop and that thing types much better...but then again that's a super high quality aluminum keyboard. The keyboard is about 1/2" wider than the nexus 9 which makes matching the two up quite well. It's not like some keyboards that are way wider. Overall I like it. Lollipop can be weird sometimes when typing which I've already noticed. This definitely makes my tablet feel like a laptop. The kicker would be a mouse which I should have sometime in the next week or 2 once I get my OTG cable. If I had to do it again, I'd get this keyboard. Which this is my 2 hour impressions...
