Not sure if size means anything to you. I picked up the Motorola keyboard that has the slide-out trackpad : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006291K7A/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's slightly thicker and bigger than i'd like - especially for pairing w/ an 8" tablet. I do think in regards to functionality the android-specific keys and slide-out trackpad are awesome. the touchpad clicks so certain functions (like dragging) require you to push down and drag - took me a while to figure out at first. When you first use it, the cursor travels a very short distance per your finger movement compared to most laptops, but I set the mouse speed to the highest in the settings for the Note 8 and for me that is the more natural feeling when using the touchpad.
it doesn't come with a stand for the tablet or case/cover for the keyboard - but the case I bought for the tablet already can stand it up.
Look up the reviews for it on Amazon and the majority are really positive.

Ditto, and I also have the Logi with out the light and both work fine on both my Note 10.1 and the Note 8.
I second what has been said about the Logitech K810. Very nice bluetooth keyboard, with backlighting, and great battery life. It also handles different devices without issue. I have it paired with my Samsung Note 8, iPad v4, and Samsung Galaxy Note II. It saves 3 device profiles so you can quickly switch between them if needs be. The keys have decent travel as well.
Plus it just seems better made than most portable bluetooth keyboards with the darker brushed aluminum look.

K810 is a great keyboard... only issue was no case. I've been using the Klein 5139B tool bag as a case. I am able to hold both my nexus 7 and this keyboard. Should be able to fit the Galaxy 8.

Was pretty surprised when it arrived, it's a pretty big package.
Seriously, the keyboard is very slim, leightweight and well built.
It has only two very tiny tiny screws, thats all there is in regard to opening the device.
The built in LiPo battery is certainly not ment to be user replaceable, but it could probably be done I reckon.
It will however be a proper HW hack, voiding warranty etc...

Yet another fan of the logitech K810. I use it for my Tab 10.1, Tab 2 7 and now my Note 8. Great keyboard and capable of retaining the conductivity settings for 3 separate devices.

I use the stardard Apple wireless bt keyboard (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC184T/B/apple-wireless-keyboard?fnode=0001030825).
It is expensive and... Apple, but it works great and it's very light to carry (in case you need an external keyboard).
I like the Logitech K810, it's compact and useful for me (programmer). It's also a 3-way toggle that you hit a key and can change between pairings, so I'm able to switch between my tablet and my workstation.
Note: Samsung stock ROMs and keyboard suck at keyboard handling vs AOSP.
I am using the logitech bluetooth easy switch keyboard. It works really well with note 8.0 I am currently using it for my Windows Laptop/ Note 2 Hand phone / Note 8.0 tablet

The keyboard I ordered came Monday, and I would highly recommend it.
Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810. Very good build quality, and lovely to type on when you have lots to type. Very easy to use. Light, easy to carry around. Backlighting option is awesome, and having the toggling devices makes it a versatile thing indeed. Most I ever paid for a keyboard honestly, but I expect to get use out of it for years yet. Amazon had a good price.

Can you tell me the exact name for this keyboard? I searched in Amazon and it list tons of different keyboard, most are NOT for the 7+.

My local discount/closeout store (Marc's, here in Ohio) had a bluetooth keyboard that's a little big but the price was right... I think it would be big even with a 10" but I haven't compared it to the family iPad yet. Made by Merkury Innovations (no, that's not a typo), was $30 at the store, runs on 2 AAA batteries (which is great for a distracted individual like myself who forgets to charge up non-daily-use devices if they don't have very clear low-battery warning indicators). I've had a ThinkOutside folding Bluetooth Keyboard that I've been using with my MyTouch 4G Slide (when I want to type more than I want to do on a thumbboard - I use my Android devices for taking notes in my grad classes when I don't feel like lugging along my laptop). The ThinkOutside keyboard is great for portability so long as I'm not going to be typing numbers very much (has no dedicated number keys and I find the hold down function and number key combo annoying). I'm also working on a novel and the TO is great for that but my grad classes involve a lot of numeric input so I decided I wanted something with numbers. Tested out the MI keyboard, all the main keys are properly mapped. Not entirely sure about the control/option+alt/command keys. It is about the same keyspacing as a standard keyboard but very little room around the edges. Considering picking up another for our media PC hooked to the television in the family room (cheap nettop box, wanted something a bit more advanced than a roku for the kids to play educational games on & such). We use Unified Remote on our Android devices to control that television to good effect, keyboard would be more for the kids to use and this one is good footprint and price for that use also.

Which Marc's?
bought this at my local Fry's. I know it's a little bit longer than the Tab+ but I think it's the perfect size while not making the keys too small and thin enough when i want to pack a keyboard with me. I tried a few where the keyboard was exactly the same length as the tablet and the keys were so small and cramped that it wasn't worth it with all the errors introduced during my typing test.
Manufactured by Azio and can pair and switch between 6 different BT devices via hotkey.
The only thing i was hoping to see by now is a keyboard that has android shortcut keys for the home, back, search, and recent. Has anyone seen a hardware keyboard that does that?

wow, this alone is a very awesome find. I wish to know if it has cutouts for the IR Blaster though

I purchased that keyboard case from dealextreme. It took a wile to get here but was in good condition. The unit worked fine connected well and works as advertised. I do have several problems with it. The tab does not fit tightly in the holder. The case adds significantly to the size of the tab. There is nothing to hold the case closed. The final downfall is I think I can type faster on the onscreen keyboards.

Yeah I have the same keyboard. Works nicely in class lectures when I need to take notes. Then one day I forgot it (because it's so mahoosive) and found out I type faster and more accurately with thumb keyboard.....yeah.....

Logitech Tablet Keyboard
I just picked up a Logitech Tablet Keyboard (NOT the Logitech iPad keyboard - they are different models). Build quality is awesome - this is a solid yet still lightweight device. It had no problem pairing up with the GT+ and did not drop any keystrokes when I used it to type.
Added bonus - the Logitech keyboard fits perfectly in a Vera Bradley "Cheers to You" wine bottle tote. For the stylish girl geeks.
I have the Official Keyboard Dock from Samsung and I really enjoy it.
I finally decided and picked up the Logitech bluetooth keyboard for Android. Pretty nifty; seems like a sold keyboard, synched right away to my 7+, like the fact that the keyboard has its own case that converts into a stable angled perch for the 7+ and that you can use it with the table either in landscape or portrait. Though I do wish it had multiple tilt lockings so I can choose what angle my 7+is perched at. So far, very pleased with the purchase.

So recently, I got sick of my Samsung Epic 4G despite it running the latest Android and being, generally, a great phone. I decided to go to the S4 when I saw bluetooth keyboards were available for it. I like the idea of slider keyboards as my Epic has a five row one that works flawlessly. I'm now asking for any keyboards that people have found that aren't god awful.
So I bought this:

And it is honestly the worst product I have ever bought. Not only is it IDENTICAL to every slider case that exists on amazon (A lot of different brands, too), it has MANY problems.
-The buttons are hard to press down
-The space bar is the width of two letter keys across. TINY
-Delete key is intuitively placed BETWEEN KEYS.
-Delete key is also the size of one letter key.
-No spacing between keys
-Caps and FN keys are not toggle-able.
-Only a 4 row keyboard, so numbers are "FN" buttons
-This requires holding down the FN key to use a series of numbers
Overall, it was the biggest disappointment in my life. It's bad enough where I'm selling the S4 and going back to my Epic. If anyone finds a good BT keyboard and wants to stop me from making this decision, by all means. And there's a white version floating about that's exactly the same that prices anywhere from $30-90.
Go back to your epic. If you really need a slider keyboard THAT bad then this isn't the phone for you. Doubt you'll like any bluetooth keyboard.

Been waiting on a post like this for a while. I'm in the same spot. Love my Epic, wish I had 3 extra processors.
I've been looking at this case recently:

It's the problem that there's really only one bluetooth keyboard. If one is to look on Amazon, they all have an identical design, aside from the ones that really are full-sized keyboards.
The problem is that the iPhone crowd started a trend of "buttons are so barbaric". Every phone company jumped on board because adding a keyboard meant higher manufacturing cost. Back when the HTC Touch Pro was on the market, it was thee biggest phone. Now keyboard phones are released with last-years mid-range specs. To get latest specs, you have to axe the keyboard. I simply don't know why Samsung doesn't release their own BT add-on. It's possible, and with a real company behind it, it might actually be a good add-on. There wouldn't be so many clones on Amazon (and there are near a hundred different "companies" that released the same bluetooth keyboard on Amazon) if there weren't a significant amount of buyers.

It's the exact same keyboard only in white. The fact that it's $80 adds layers of insult to injury. Sorry man, wouldn't make the purchase.
I mean, this add-on makes the phone significantly thicker than my Epic, but I'm a guy. They put pockets on our jeans.

I'm wondering if I could frankenstein something out of my spare Samsung Epic and my S4. Would likely require more know-how with the software than I currently have.
epic 4g is still a great phone, the most ergonomic i've ever used and the keyboard really comes in handy not only for typing but as a "holder" to view the screen & navigate
these days i use it as a remote/mouse when i hook my PC up to the tv and it works flawlessly

i'd trust logitech on making a great keyboard more than samsung.
Looks like neither are available yet. Logitech is accepting pre-orders on their site. I was really hoping to be able to find a cheapo Chinese cover, since I've been really happy with the $30 one I bought for my iPad Air, but it looks like there really aren't many keyboard covers to speak of for Android tablets. Dropping $100 on a keyboard that I'll use infrequently is a tough pill to swallow. Bummer.
Looks exactly like the cheap overpriced keyboard they sell at best buy for the tab 3. I like the way the Samsung one looks more so than what I've seen with the previous case/keyboard, I prefer the "Platinum" best buy brand over this one.
BestBuy has these in stock now. Very nice if that's what you are after. The obvious downside is the weight and limited viewing angles.

I went ahead and bought the logitech. Not real happy with it. It doubles (or more than doubles) the weight of the tablet and the keys provide no tactile feedback.

I agree with mitchellvii on this one. It is a very nice implementation, but there are obvious trade offs. I don't see how they could have made it much lighter and included a keyboard. Or, how they could have improve the keyboard feedback without making it thicker. If you want a thin and light protective case with included keyboard, this one will be hard to beat.
I looked at it. Didn't like the glossy black.
I have been doing a lot of research and so far my results have basically told me that the HTC keyboard not even worth half its list value. I have been eyeballing are the Logitech K480 and Keys-To-Go.
Anyone have any recommendations?
I just picked up the jelly comb keyboard that has the 7 different back-lit colors... I'll have it tomorrow. Hopefully it's good. For me a big thing I need is for the keyboard to match the same size as the tablet. The jelly looked like a perfect fit.

Let me know what you think of it. I've seen the jelly comb keyboards and for the price they look pretty good.
Will do. I also picked up an otg cable after realizing the nexus 9 has full otg support. This should be awesome! Possibly having keyboard and mouse gaming would make this tablet incredible... Plus all other functionality too would be great!

I have the keyboard now. It's a nice keyboard. It's a little noisy and the typing is precise but not the greatest. I've got a Rapoo keyboard for my desktop and that thing types much better...but then again that's a super high quality aluminum keyboard. The keyboard is about 1/2" wider than the nexus 9 which makes matching the two up quite well. It's not like some keyboards that are way wider. Overall I like it. Lollipop can be weird sometimes when typing which I've already noticed. This definitely makes my tablet feel like a laptop. The kicker would be a mouse which I should have sometime in the next week or 2 once I get my OTG cable. If I had to do it again, I'd get this keyboard. Which this is my 2 hour impressions...

This is such a brilliant concept. I wish it would pair with up to 3 devices, but I'll settle for 2, one for phone, the other with tablet. If it supported 3, then I could see myself ditching the Surface Type cover...
Engadget describes it as one key to toggle, but from the video, its actually a combo of 2 keys to toggle between devices.
I'm hoping it would be at most $99 - which is the price for the Microsoft Folding keyboard...

Thanks for posting. This looks as though it could be promising. Though back lit keys and a third device acceptance would be great. But this keboard looks as though it will do its job in an acceptable manner. Hopefully it is below the $99 tag. Without back lit keys and a third device, I would be willing to spend $50 at the most on this device. I have the K810, it may not fold, but it is an awesome keyboard. I use it with my two phones and tablet. And the back lit keys are great. Adjustable brightness, long battery life. Other than the lack of folding, I could not ask for more. Mind you, it is from Logitech and not LG.

anyone have any pros and cons of the LG rolly compared to the Microsoft Folding Keyboard. I have a folding keyboard that I really like but I really want something that pairs to two devices so that I can switch easily. I spent equal time on my phone and tablet. I love Swype but I love a lightweight portable physical keyboard even more.

I've gone and ordered the Rolly anyway so we'll see how well it does. I really wish it connected to three devices so I could get rid of my Surface Type cover. That might have made it the perfect keyboard.

I've received this today and found the rubber feet are not sufficient to hold it still on a desk, and the characters on the keys are not clear (maybe my eyes), but with the note 4 not weighing it down it isn't any good for me. May be better with a tablet. Need bigger rubber feet tho.
I too have ordered the Rolly and am not getting on with it. My fingers are struggling to hit the right keys so much it's put me off.
Key travel is good though. My wife is able to type on it better than me so she might have it.
