[Q] Record call, both side - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Do any one use a Apps to record calls in the Galaxy S 4G, I found many Apps that not working on my phone but apparently working on Galaxy S...
I tested :
Record My Call --- stock my phone
Call Recorder | Total recall --- its record but the other side dont hear me...
AndroRec Free Call Recorder --- its record but the other side dont hear me...
AllCallRecorder --- sometime stock my phone and its record but the other side dont hear me...
to "solve" the problem that the other side dont hear me you need to switch to speaker then to switch back to phone then its ok... and record the call but not with good quality..
Do any one know what Apps is good record call??
Do any one know why there is a problem?? or how to fix it?

What rom, I don't know, but maybe has something to do if you are using Octane 3.x or Krylon no CIQ edition. Those may have something removed in the framework required by those programs.

Have you given Gooogle Voice a try. You press some # on your keypad and it records the conversation.

I did all of the testing:
T959VUVKD1 - Deodexed FIXED
Valhalla v1.3.2
Audiophile Series: Redux: v1.3.3
about Google Voice, its work only on US not in Israel
Now I am on Valhalla Final, and I tried most of them, with the same results...

have the same frustrating problem..
a lot of the vendors blame it on our hardware, but it's their coding (or lack thereof) - somewhere in our phones is software that converts our voice from the mic to a usable signal that can be carried,
the same but vice versa for the ear piece, and they've somehow neglected to tap into those for this specific phone and have only tapped into the speaker, so all SGS users are seemingly assed out :/

I had two programs work fine in froyo. In gingerbread its something new with that that no one has applied whatever code is needed to get both sides recording right. And to have the right mics open etc. someone should fix this.. Recording is a big deal

SIPDroid and Fring route audio to the speaker phone!

It seems like the same audio routing problem seen in other Samsung Android phones also affects the Epic 4G:
code.google.com/p/sipdroid/issues/detail?id=366 (I can't post links)
This is shows up on SIPDroid and Fring. I've contacted Fring support about this issue. It looks like some people have fixed with a patch to the audio routing code in other Samsung Android phones:
forum.samdroid.net/f9/sipdroid-voip-i5700-problems-983
forum.sdx-developers.com/android-2-1-development/fixing-the-moment%27s-audio-routing-%28so-we-can-use-sipetc!%29
A cursory search shows this issue hasn't been reported here yet so I think I might take a look this weekend to see if the patches can be ported over to this phone. I'll admit I'm a bit out of my element here so I could use any advice and help from the seasoned devs on the forum. Thanks.
I was seeing the same thing on SipDroid, but then I tried Fring last week, and it worked fine. My biggest issue was the SIP call quality (with both apps) connecting directly to gizmo. It was really bad both over wifi and 3g. Almost unusable. Not sure what the cause was.
I agree that Fring call quality on SIP leaves much to be desired. I found SipDroid to be much better but still somewhat unusable. I have an Asterisk box at home so I can tweak things with codecs as soon as the audio routing issue is addressed.
As far as Fring fixing the bug... yes, Fring only fixed part of the bug in the latest version (2.1.1.24 I believe). Right now the initial call comes through the ear piece correctly. However, if you switch to the speaker phone during the call then the audio will never go back to the ear piece no matter how many times you click the button on the screen. The button on the screen will change but the audio is still piped through the speaker phone. I've reported this bug to Fring but haven't heard back from them yet.
Once they fixed it (if they can fix it), then I may ask them how they did it. At best they can tell us how they squashed the bug and then I can share the info with the SipDroid developers. At worst, they say no and we're not worse off than before. I still believe porting over the fixes in the other Samsung phone is an easier-to-implement solution than asking every VoIP developer to add a special case for Samsung Android phones (if that's in fact how they solved the issue).
Sipdroid still routing to speakerphone for me...

[Q] Both side Call Recorder...LG p500

Hi...
i just bought this phone... & looking for a working call recoding application... i tried many ones from android market... but either they record only my side or crashed out.. i really need a good application which support call recording facility... specially other side... & in normal mode only... not speaker mode...
I hope you guys also faced the same problem like me... & some of you guys find the solution. Please guide me.Thanks
The problems is almost all manufactors modified the android they put on their devices in to disable call recording. There is actually build in functionality for this, but if you select call as source, you just get an empty file. It's a shame that most cripple android like that.
The only hack i know of where they got it working is the i9000 from samsung. They hacked the phone.apk to enable call recording.
Call Recording for Optimus One
I bought a Optimus One for my dad, and he needs a call recording s/w... i tried Totall recall and it works fine, but after a min or so, it hangs / shuts off the entire phone. Can any1 help me with any software that works for Optimus oNE???
.
Hey i know it's pretty old thread but i found working app that works really great on our beloved P500. Records you and caller and saves it in mp3 files. There many options of configuration all you need to do is root your phone and install from market "rVoix for rotted HTC Hero" (can't pasate link cause of lack of 10 posts )
I'm using it on rotted LG p500 with ICS on board.
App it selfs starts a service which is fully configurable, you can set up to record all calls, calls from desired numers, unknow call etc. Maybe someone will need it
It's suggested to not record all calls but only few which one you want to have recorded, casue during the call quality of call is avarage.

Phone mic not working after using custom rom

Hello All,
I just want to ask regarding my phone mic not working.
I tested just now with camcorder apps. When I start record something with sound and other background noise, then I played the record - all the sound seems working fine. So, I assume the phone mic is working.
But, when I tried to make calls, people not hearing my voice. I tried to used voice recorder and tried to play it again, still no sound being records. I even tried to use google voice, also no sound being pick-up.
My question are why using camcorder apps can pick-up the voice or background sound, but, voice recorder, call to other and google voice cannot listen to any voice I made?
Any suggestion or explanation is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance for all the help...
Notes: I am now in Revolution XE with audio beats Rom... Have test with all revolution ROM, and still have the phone mic problem.
+1. Exact same problem here - been flashing ARHD Roms for over 6 months no dramas, then somewhere in the last month this occurred to me as well.
I have tried nandroid backups, full wipes and reflashes, various roms, sense 3.6, 4 and vanilla to no avail! I know the some of the cyanogen chefs have been having audio routing issues - but even in the supposedly fixed versions I still get the same problem. The best I've done so far, and after numerous voicemails to myself, is get it to a point where headphones with a Mic will work. When I answer a call the loudspeaker Mic activates, so I sound really distant, but if I talk into the back of the phone (directly into the Mic) its better, but I cannot hear them. When I activate loudspeaker neither Mic works
I'm back on ARHD 6.6.7 but now, and not even headphone Mic's work. I've tried flashing volume boost zips, beats zips, vol+ from the market - nothing! I've even gone back to a branded (Telstra Aus) Rom someone posted (based off an ICS, but not official) and nothing! I would brand it back up and call it a warranty job (even though its a software problem, not hardware) but I'm just out of warranty. Somebody plz help!
I have had this issue too on all roms except inser coin. Try flashing insert coin sense 3.6 Rom to see if the mic is back.

I am on MIUI 2.5.18 and the headphone aren't know by the phone as a microphone too.. I want to know if there is a mod to fix this problem.. thanks

mkzak78 - Just found your posts in the ARHD thread - it seems we are having the exact same problem, which makes me think its software, not hardware. That and the fact that the loudspeaker mic works fine to record video, but nothing else!
My understanding is that when we flash custom roms, not all files are replaced - only those which need to change for the new rom to work - this allows the roms to be smaller in size. For instance I put a custom splash screen on my phone when I first got it, and through every wipe and flash, it remains the same. Things such as the microphone settings/drivers wouldn't need to change between roms, so perhaps they are not included in the roms? somewhere along the line one of these files has been changed, but it is not being fixed as the rom's we keep flashing don't include them.
I'm wondering if its possible for somebody without this problem to upload a nandroid backup, which I believe includes everything. if we could restore that, it should fix it. Whether or not a nandroid file can be flashed to a different phone however I'm not sure.
Can anyone provide some advice on whether this is correct, or help us out? My previously awesome phone is now a very fancy paperweight if it can't be used to make calls - I'm desperate!

[Q] sharing music/ audio during a phone call

Hello everyone!
What I'm looking to do is really simple, a LOT of people are interested in these feature, however, no one has a clear solution.
There has been a lot of post about this subject but they are most old post and there's nothing help full.
Here is the problem - whenever I'm talking over the phone, I can play any music I like and I can hear it perfectly, but the other side cant hear anything! even if ill let the music play using the phone speaker - the other side is silent (witch is strange cause when the speaker play, the mic should transfer the sound and shouldn't "care" who is making it).
So after a lot of searching for apps and different ways, I found out something interesting.. If I make the call using an VOIP (skype, viber and so on) and Ill play music at the same time - THE OTHER SIDE CAN HEAR IT PERFECTLY!!! witch means the phone is fully capable of doing it.
What is going wrong when I'm using the cellular network instead of VOIP? is there a way around it?
Ive noticed some people don't get WHY would I want to do it.. well, I'm working using my phone (sales) and using the exact same pitch. I would like to be super lazy and play a recorded version of me, and when its done, be able to just keep talking to the person without him being able to notice the difference.
Since I'm doing it for work, I cant use VOIP for regular calling since Ill lose the option to use "Airdroid".
I'm using Nexus 4, Slimkat rom (4.4.4).
ANY help at all will be appreciated

Samsung galaxy s8 plus audio problem during videocalls

Hello!
I have a major issue during videocalls using google duo, skype where if there are any background noise around me, i can't hear the person i am talking to. The audio cuts off. It has to be silent around me in order for me to hear the person i am talking to. Is there any fix to this problem? I have already reset the phone but the problem is still there.
mic (over) sensitivity? perhaps some will stop by and know the file and file entry to edit.
any of this type setting elsewhere (Settings, the app itself, and sound modification yo have installed, eg Viper, etc... that you can check/get to?
I have no sound modification installed. I checked the settings but there seems to be no part adressing this issue. The same problem happens when i use different apps like skype, google duo and signal. Could it be a hardware problem? The microphone works fine when i record a video or recording audio.
Maybe.
Rooted? If so, and you've done a full, clean install, and sure that the install is working ok, maybe try another custom ROM.
Normal calls work, as I get you it's (just) video calls? Another possibility, I'd consider looking up mic sensitivity and ways to decrease it. On the OnePlus One I am aware there was a configuration file folks could mess with to try and resolve that phone's mics over sampling. That was a common issue for many.
Have you tried turning the volume down and see if that has any effect?
Wish I could offer more ideas, I have used video calls maybe 3 times in 8 years.
The phone is not rooted. This problem occurs only when i use internet based videocalls (skype, google duo). The volyme is not usually high when i call. Thank you for your time, hopefully i will find a solution soon.
Frustrating. Good luck.
