Hi...
i just bought this phone... & looking for a working call recoding application... i tried many ones from android market... but either they record only my side or crashed out.. i really need a good application which support call recording facility... specially other side... & in normal mode only... not speaker mode...
I hope you guys also faced the same problem like me... & some of you guys find the solution. Please guide me.Thanks
The problems is almost all manufactors modified the android they put on their devices in to disable call recording. There is actually build in functionality for this, but if you select call as source, you just get an empty file. It's a shame that most cripple android like that.
The only hack i know of where they got it working is the i9000 from samsung. They hacked the phone.apk to enable call recording.
Call Recording for Optimus One

.
Hey i know it's pretty old thread but i found working app that works really great on our beloved P500. Records you and caller and saves it in mp3 files. There many options of configuration all you need to do is root your phone and install from market "rVoix for rotted HTC Hero" (can't pasate link cause of lack of 10 posts )
I'm using it on rotted LG p500 with ICS on board.
App it selfs starts a service which is fully configurable, you can set up to record all calls, calls from desired numers, unknow call etc. Maybe someone will need it
It's suggested to not record all calls but only few which one you want to have recorded, casue during the call quality of call is avarage.

this is a problem i have with my topaz.
i want to record my phone calls but make it automaticly.
i don't always have the option to switch the "in call recording" on at the start of the call.
i tried the ACR latest version and it's very heavy on the device when booting up (when enabled) up to times where the devices won't boot up becuase of it.
can anyone suggest a better way to record the calls?
thanks.
Here it is nJoy!!!!!!!!1
Record calls
Use pmrecorder--freeware.
Doesn't work well while in speaker phone mode nor using your bluetooth. The conversations sound as though you are talking to yourself. Maybe you are who knows.

Many thanks, but in Diamond 2 (topaz) it's impossible to configure hot key for start/stop recording.
This because i'ts a touch screen phone and volume and call keys are impossible to be assigned.
Any ideas?
Will AEButton Plus work with the Topaz/Touch diamond2?
there are two things i use to get this working on my phone. first, download and install 2 way plus in call recording found here ---> http://rapidshare.com/files/218023994/2_Way_Plus_InCall_Recording.cab. i know it's for the kaiser, but it works on my topaz, so i'll assume that it will work on yours as well. after that, you can use any program you like to auto record. the one i strongly recomend is vito audio notes found here ---> http://vitotechnology.com/vito-audionotes.html. it's the best prorgam i've used. only $7 and it has never failed me.

Support On Android Phones Is Getting Slower And Slower Than Normal From Skype.
Some Say Because of MS it is giving releases to Windows Phone's first and then Androids. Who Knows? Maybe, they can't be bothered unless it becomes mainstream like the Sensation.
Anyway, if you need Video Calls desperately - then there is only 1 tested way.
Tango. This App will do the job over WiFi for definite according to some users down at AndroidForums.com.
Download It Now From Market. Type In Google: 'Tango Voice & Video Calls' (First Link)
Any voice initiated voice recorders for android 2.3.4 phones? I mean the recorder should wait idle and record only when voice level goes above a certain level... just like some CCTV softwares record video.

Do any one use a Apps to record calls in the Galaxy S 4G, I found many Apps that not working on my phone but apparently working on Galaxy S...
I tested :
Record My Call --- stock my phone
Call Recorder | Total recall --- its record but the other side dont hear me...
AndroRec Free Call Recorder --- its record but the other side dont hear me...
AllCallRecorder --- sometime stock my phone and its record but the other side dont hear me...
to "solve" the problem that the other side dont hear me you need to switch to speaker then to switch back to phone then its ok... and record the call but not with good quality..
Do any one know what Apps is good record call??
Do any one know why there is a problem?? or how to fix it?
What rom, I don't know, but maybe has something to do if you are using Octane 3.x or Krylon no CIQ edition. Those may have something removed in the framework required by those programs.
Have you given Gooogle Voice a try. You press some # on your keypad and it records the conversation.
I did all of the testing:
T959VUVKD1 - Deodexed FIXED
Valhalla v1.3.2
Audiophile Series: Redux: v1.3.3
about Google Voice, its work only on US not in Israel
Now I am on Valhalla Final, and I tried most of them, with the same results...
have the same frustrating problem..
a lot of the vendors blame it on our hardware, but it's their coding (or lack thereof) - somewhere in our phones is software that converts our voice from the mic to a usable signal that can be carried,
the same but vice versa for the ear piece, and they've somehow neglected to tap into those for this specific phone and have only tapped into the speaker, so all SGS users are seemingly assed out :/
I had two programs work fine in froyo. In gingerbread its something new with that that no one has applied whatever code is needed to get both sides recording right. And to have the right mics open etc. someone should fix this.. Recording is a big deal

Hello,
I tested a lot of recording calls apps for Samsung phone S5301, unfortunately none of them work properly, when I play recorded files back they're like fast forwarded sounds, but voice recorder app works great without any problem, also I installed and tested all custom and stock ROMs from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291865 but same issue exist, any help?
Thank you.
I'm experiencing the same issue here. I think it has something to do with audio drivers messed up by Samsung.

do you find any useful app for call recording?
There is a problem with call recording.
Most modern Android devices block the option for direct call recording.
The sounds you can record are through the external speaker.
So actually call recording only records your own voices, and the other side voice is recorded through the external speaker which has a very poor sound quality.
So it's not a problem of a specific app, but a problem in the device itself.
Maybe a combination of a specific ROM with a specific voice recording app can be a solution.
