[APP][2.1+] DroidVPN - VPN for android (Anti-censorship) - Android Apps and Games

NOTICE: Your phone must be rooted for this app to work
DroidVPN can unblock ISP restrictions, unblock voip, bypass firewalls, and lets you browse the web anonymously.
DroidVPN is using its own simple and efficient protocol so its not using PPTP or L2TP which is sometimes blocked by your ISP.
What separates it from other VPN Applications is it can tunnel your traffic through ICMP(IP over ICMP). This means you can still connect to our vpn servers and browse the internet even if you are only allowed to send ping requests.
Requirements:
Rooted Android 2.1+

Frequently asked questions
Q: How do I root my phone?
A: It depends on your phone model. Just search the forum for tutorials in rooting your phone. Ive used gingerbreak and z4root on my P500 and it works all the time.
Q: I dont have Android Market installed on my phone, How can I install your app?
A: If you don't have Android Market, or for any other reason can not find DroidVPN there, you can download from our site instead: http://droidvpn.com/download.php
Note that if you don't have Android Market, you must install the app and download updates manually. Updates are announced via our Forum, Twitter and Facebook pages.
Q: It doesn't work on my phone. What should I do?
A: Post your log file. You can enable debug logging by going to Settings > and enable "Debug logging". A DroidVPN.txt file will be saved on the root folder of your sdcard.
You could also post the output of logcat. Download alogcat here https://market.android.com/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat Or this direct link: http://alogcat.googlecode.com/files/alogcat-2.3.apk
Q: How can I choose the location of VPN server?
A: Click the flag icon on the upper right corner of the screen to switch between servers.
Q: Where can I get an account?
A: Signup here: Signup for a free trial account - DroidVPN! and check your email for your password. Your username would be your full email address.
Q: Will it redirect all my internet traffic to your VPN?
A: Yes all your applications network connections will go through our VPN servers.
Q: Does DroidVPN support OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, IPsec ?
A: DroidVPN uses it's own simple and efficient protocol with UDP, ICMP and TCP. It doesn't support PPTP, L2TP, IPsec.
Q: How secure is DroidVPN?
A: DroidVPN is not designed to be the MOST secure tunneling software in the world, we focused mainly on speed, stability, rich of features, easy to use but making sure it is still secure enough.
Q: Why do I get "Can't allocate tun device"?
A: This error means that the tun module is not loaded. Make sure you have installed a compatible tun.ko for your phone. You can try our TUN.ko Installer if we already have a tun.ko for your phone. You can view our complete list of tun modules here: http://droidvpn.com/tun-repository.php
Q: I am getting P R P R P R in my logs. What do they mean?
A: Those will only appear if you enabled Debug logging. It is used to check if you are still connected to the server. P means that it is pinging the server and R means that it successfully received a reply from the server.

Android browser doesn't work on my Nexus One with latest Cyanogen nightly, everything else seems to work. Any suggestions?
Edit: opera mini seems to be the only browser that works.

Do you have a proxy set for your browser? Or it could also be a DNS issue. Try visiting this page on your android browser and see if it will load: http://74.125.224.48/ <- google.com

Cleaned out everything under my APN settings, now it works on both my Nexus One and Galaxy Nexus. But when switching between wifi and mobile data, you have to manually disconnect and reconnect. Can this be fixed?

I guess that could be done Thanks for the feedback.

Seems to use a lot of battery? Over the last session it have consumed the same as AndroidOS.

Just as with manually switching wifi, it seems not to reconnect when it says it does. Can that be fixed? If you lose signal for mobile data and regain it u have to manually restart.

i cant connect
sir i cant connect droidvpn always say "no wifi or 3g detected " do i need to turn wifi on?im also from the philippines pls help....

Thanks! GAE with the speed of instability, I think it is necessary to try this.

I believe that is normal since it would be running all the time unless you disconnect it. You might want to read this since openvpn and our app functions almost the same.

We are still working on that. But right now it will actually try to reconnect if it detects that no data is being transferred within 60 seconds.

Love this app
I have a suggestion though. You shove give users an option to check if the the vpn is working. Maybe launch a web page or something to test

There's no trick! read:
DroidVPN is one of the easiest VPN software for android devices. DroidVPN tunnels all Internet traffic from your android device to our servers. DroidVPN helps users to unblock ISP restrictions, bypass firewalls, and browse the web anonymously.
Right now we are still in our beta stage. Which means you will not pay anything to get access to our servers.

There is no trick ,Droid vpn is normal vpn service. The main motive of these private network is too keep safe your ip and isp address. but u can use it also to bypass Airtel prepaid billing system in india for internet usage,I have checked other carriers but failed execpt Airtel which connects with zero balance on your Android mobile .
i am going to upload a video ,to show how vpn helps free internet usage of Airtel on your mobile with zero balance.

@bobcaruso and FlowerPotmen, Read my post here which explains how some people can get free internet access. Its true that our service is just like a normal vpn but some people can use it to bypass their ISPs billing system and will let you browse the internet for free.
Another feature of our app is it can tunnel IP traffic through ICMP. There are some instances when you can connect to a wifi connection but before browsing the net it redirects you to a login page. You can check if the wifi connection allows ICMP request(ping) and if you can ping google.com then chances are you can also connect DroidVPN using ICMP and presto you can now browse the net without having to pay for it. Sometimes they also leave port 53(DNS) open in which case you can also connect through UDP using port 53.

Till now you may have read articles or posts about how to connect to a VPN service using your android so that you can access all those blocked sites. Many of the solutions may have suggested that you need a rooted phone or the VPN service is not free. I set up an account with raptor few weeks back, never worked then. I totally forgot about it, I just tried again and it keeps on telling me it's "connecting". then "unable to connect to network. Try again?"
Is this normal?
I did follow your tutorial to the letter, deleted my previous raptorvpn settings, started fresh!
Samsung Galaxy S2 running 2.3.5
Edit1: will now it's showing a stupid message about incorrect user name or pass when I try to connect in my phone, I tried restarting it, but still. Although when I log in raptor's website, I don't have this problem. I contacted thier tech. support and opened a ticket!

Try turning off then turning on your wifi. Also pay more attention during typing the values of VPN (i.e, l is not 1 and o is not 0... etc). Also the user name is the E.mail that you registered with full format (i.e, [email protected])..
Try again and tell me the results..
Can you try to connect now? Their servers might be down or something? I did pay attention to the details, removed the info. Restarted my phone, added them again. Same thing is happening!
I go to their website, log in with NO problem though!

Raptor VPN is now part of Spotflux. So I think it's not working anymore.
any alternative ?
If you know someone in the US, you can get them to run a VPN for you. Windows XP has a built in VPN server. This is what I'm doing for a friend of mine so he can access Google Play on his Nexus 7:
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/xp_vpn_server.htm
Make sure when you are setting this up on your android device you pick PPTP and you turn off encryption. Also you need to make the person a user name, as described in step #11 of the link.
Enjoy!
Use the app orbit. Does the same job rooted or not. With rooted however, you can use transparent proxy's.

hi
i want to have VPN
Best vpn service
As I'm living in China and Also in Middle east countiries,I'm a specialist in finding new ways to access blocked websites. I have tried all those softwares, hotspot shieled, vpn one click, tor,....
They are good but not good enough, I think you'd better use a paid vpn service, But before you pay for it, ask them to give you a free trial account at least for 1 day.and then you can decide which one is better provider.I compared many providers. Strong vpn, hide my ass, purevpn and saturnvpn. They are all offering almost the same service, but saturnvpn is really cheap, and the support is really patient and helpful. You know 1month for $3.3 is not too much. you can also but an account for 12 months for $16 and 6MOnths for $10
satunvpn.com has free test account and you can try that, You can also ask them to give you a free trial account for 1 or 3 days.
I hope it could help you to get rid of all those restrictions.
A comprehensive List of Android VPN
If anyone is looking for a good VPNs for Android you can try Cyber Ghost or IPVANISH
Can't seem to connect... I'm guessing either the app isn't updated or there's a problem with the servers.
But what is need doing all this we can use vpn apps
We have plenty of them like
-phispon
-lateen
-hotshield
Which are easily available on play store

Obviously i'm going to try this. I went to just buy it given what you're asking, seems fair. Here is my thing though. I see you're offering it on a third party store. probably because some don't like using google store? I can understand this. Any way we/I could purchase it directly from you instead of adding yet another third party vendor/store to the list of places i have to get my apps from? Or for users who do not mind the play store pffer it there, ofcourse at a cost that lets you get what you think you deserve with the 30% google cut. If its a matter of privacy or the 30% google takes id rather just pay you and get a license file then some one else.

I don't publish it to Google Play Store, because they don't accept my country to sell apps :/. Both the free and the donation one are the same, if you are still wanting to donate you can use the donate button here in Xda and download the one at play store (I think that Google haven't updated it to the newest one, but they will). Or you can download the one in the OP (They all are the same).

[APP][Android 7.0+][4.0.912 - 13/06/2023] AdGuard - No Root Ad Blocker

Introduction
Hello all!
I'd like to present you Adguard for Android. It is a tool designed to make web surfing of Android users more comfortable and safe.
Adguard is an adblocker, privacy protection tool, and protector against online threats. It also has its own Firewall to control the incoming/outgoing traffic.
What's important: no ROOT required.
If you have any ideas on how to improve Adguard or you would like to submit a bug, please do so at our profile on GitHub! If you have any questions about Adguard or related matters and would like to get live responses, welcome to our public Telegram channel!
Important note: we use Github as an open bug and release tracker, but the app itself is a closed source.
Here is our privacy policy. TL;DR: we don't collect your data and send the necessary minimum for checking the license status (in case if you want to use "premium" features).

Features
Adguard provides the best filtering quality on Android. I mean really, there has been no app with such high quality before.
App is really easy-to-use: one button to start protection.
Malware and phishing protection. We use the same Browsing Security database as for desktop version of Adguard.
Privacy protection: spyware filter is on duty.
Firewall can manage apps access to the Internet, which of them can go online is up to you.
App traffic monitoring system shows how many resources each app consumes at the moment.
The app speeds up the load of web pages and saves bandwidth. The pages are ad-free and opened faster.
Adguard can block ads in apps and games.

Instruction on how to install Adguard can be found in our knowledgebase.
Adguard checks for updates once in 24 hours. If there is a new version available, you will get a notification.
If you tap on "Update" we will download and upgrade your version of Adguard.
Google Play:
You can't get Adguard from Google Play because Google wants to know everything about you and also it does not want users to decide if they want to see its ads or not.

FAQ
Q: How does Adguard protection work?
A: Adguard filters your browsers traffic by blocking requests to phishing and malicious websites and removing intrusive browser advertising. Adguard can use three modes of traffic filtering:
1. Local VPN mode - If you are using this mode, Adguard does not need ROOT privileges to carry out filtering. At the same time, VPN-server is located on your device, so that there is no need to pass your traffic through a remote server in order to filter it.
2. Automatic proxy mode - In this mode Adguard launch a local HTTP proxy server on your device. This mode is recommended if you use a rooted device. In automatic mode, enabling of filtering does not require any action from you. Filtering will work in both mobile and Wi-Fi networks.
3. Manual proxy mode - This approach may not work in some situations. It depends on your firmware and the actual VPN app. For some cases traffic bypasses manually configured proxy. In manual mode filtering will only work in Wi-Fi networks. And you have to manually configure the use of proxy server for each Wi-Fi network.
Q: Do I need the ROOT access?
A: Unlike most of applications that are engaged in the traffic filtering, Adguard does not require ROOT access to your device. In local VPN server mode Adguard will filter all your traffic and so the ROOT access is not needed at all.
Q: How to use a third-party VPN along with Adguard?
A: If you are already using a VPN for other purposes, then in order for Adguard filtering to work, you can turn it to a Automatic proxy mode. The filtering mode can be changed in the Filtering settings.
Q: How to configure Manual proxy mode?
A: If your device does not support automatic proxy configuration, then you can configure proxy server manually, using the instructions below:
1. In the Adguard Filtering settings select — Manual proxy mode.
2. Go to your phone settings and choose Wi-Fi. A list of wireless networks will be opened.
3. If the device is not yet connected, connect to the Wi-Fi networks than you need. Open network setting by pressing the line with this network. The following menu of the selected Wi-Fi network will appear.
4. Select Modify network. In the new window select Show advanced options.
5. In Proxy select Manual.
6. Enter 127.0.0.1 in Proxy hostname and enter the port that is showed in proxy settings in Adguard application itself (port 8080 is used in Adguard setting by default).
7. Proxy server is set up. Now all Wi-Fi traffic will be filtered by Adguard.
Q: How does DNS-filtering work?
Adguard can filter domain resolution requests to the Domain Name System servers, handle them locally, and block requests to phishing, malicious, advertising and tracking systems on such domains.
Blocking is implemented by sending back a specially crafted response that redirects all traffic to local network interface (with 127.0.0.1 IP address). Then browser or app intended to connect to such domain will try to connect to a server on this particular device, and eventually get an error.
Detailed answer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63751226&postcount=375
Q: This seems like a best way to filter ads, why use something else?
A: Because there are many advertising systems that use the same domains for advertising and some useful service. The DNS-filtering can be used just to speed up overall filtering process and to save some battery juice.
Q: Why can't I use DNS-filtering with Local HTTP proxy mode?
A: Because we need to filter all traffic (all network packets) sent from your device for DNS-filtering. Only VPN mode can accomplish such a thing.
Q: Why does Android stats show that Adguard consumed more traffic than it saved?
A: On Android's Data usage page or in your favorite data-traffic tracking app, you might see an indication that Adguard has consumed all or most of your mobile traffic. Make no mistake - it's your apps and not Adguard that consumed the data in question. There is a known issue with Android when VPN or proxy is established, with all traffic from all apps being assigned to Adguard. We hope that this clarifies what's happening.
Q: Why does Adguard consume so much battery juice?
A: First of all, no it's not Adguard that takes so much traffic and device battery (as it may seem). It is an issue of Android that calculates the amount of consumed traffic in a very peculiar way. We have a nice article - "Adguard for Android battery and traffic consumption issues", check it out for more information.
Q: What restrictions does VPN mode have?
A: Adguard filters traffic using local VPN-server by default. In this mode there are some restrictions. In local VPN mode Adguard won't be run automatically after turning on the phone, because this capability is blocked by Android OS.

Be aware that while using AdGuard on PC it became abundantly clear that it slowed internet traffic, pages do NOT open faster, but most alarming of all was its insane (and i mean INSANE) overinflation of the number ads etc that it blocked. It smelt like a con on just the bs figures alone, but with the added slowdown in traffic i removed it.
AdAway, via FDroid. Less drama, real results.
More information if some non-rooted users would like to try:
• Android 4.0.3+
• Not compatible with Opera Mini and Puffin Browser.

So you are making a conclusion about android app because of your experience with PC version, am I right?
Also what about PC version, could you please send me in PM some details on this insane overinflation?
Looks like a bug for me. Also traffic slowdown is something unusual for Adguard.
Seems too good to be true & so many complaints on desktop browsers . Lets try this on my MOTO G & see the results .

Unfortunately the setting to change the icon doesn't work.
Hi Everyone,
Sorry but I had to remove all the talk about the paid version of this app because these discussions can easily be against the xda rules. So please, can we limit the discussion to the free version of this app and if you have an interest in, or a comment about, the paid version please take it up on the adguard website.
Thanks!

It won't work if you use VPN filtering mode with Android 4.X.
The problem is that the "key" icon is not ours - it is Android's system icon, we can't control it.
Maybe we should disable this setting in this case?

I would simply add a note to the Icon setting description that the Adguard icon defaults to Android's VPN key in VPN-mode.
No need to remove or disable anything. Choice is good.

Choice is good indeed but we just don't want to confuse user with a setting which does nothing currently.
I think that we may mark setting as disabled and add a note below that VPN key icon is managed by OS, not app.
now the real question, why this over adaway?

Adaway is not a filtering app or an ad blocker. It is no more than a hosts file manager. So for me it's strange to compare Adguard or ABP with Adaway or Adfree. You can use hosts file to block some ad networks, that's true. But the quality of such filtering is very low comparing to what real filters do.
Some examples for better understanding.
With hosts file:
You cannot block facebook or twitter buttons without blocking facebook and twitter sites.
You cannot handle mobile redirects, inline scripts, self-hosted banners, etc.
You will see broken elements (images, objects, whitespaces) on the pages because hosts file does not filter the page code and cannot make it look right.
Filtering has its own drawbacks. Because app actually does something it needs your CPU and it uses your battery.
Anyway, you can use Adguard along with adaway or adfree, no conflicts and no overhead here (hosts file does not use your battery at all).
New beta version is ready.
We are very close to major release. I think that this beta version is faster and better than current stable release.
Changelog for 1.1.779:
+ Tested and optimized for Android 5.0
* Optimized CPU and battery usage
* Fixed display of some elements of the interface and notifications
* Fixed processing of certain HTTPS requests
* Resolved compatibility issues with some apps

I there, I have a question. I tested another application like this one time ago (AdB...k), that worked fine blocking ads but consumed a lot of my mobile data, almost all my mobile data available in 3 days. My question is, this app with do the same?

Yes we will. But actually it's not our app who use this mobile data.
It's your apps that consumes the data.
The problem is that all traffic goes through the filter (our app or abp or whatever) and that's why Android counts this traffic as ours in it's data usage stats.
We plan to add a simple firewall in version 1.2. So you'll be able to see actual data usage of your apps and to manage their network access.
I don't think that was my case, because I keep track of my mobile data usage and I have never used that amount of data in just 3 days (like 65 MB) and I didn't do anything estrange or out of normal, just WhatsApp and I opened Facebook like 4 times.

I am not abp specialist so just don't know, maybe their app really has some bugs. I know they check filter updates sometimes (and filters are rather heavy), maybe that's it. Anyway, if mobile data usage is important to you just enable "Update over Wi-Fi only" in Adguard to be sure.

[Wear OS App] Enable Google Pay in unsupported countries using Permanent Proxy!

Simple app to set the built-in proxy setting on a Wear OS device and enable geo-restricted apps like Google Pay in unsupported regions!
Sometimes big companies decide that Geoblocking is a good idea. I don't agree. So that's why I created this Wear OS app to allow users to use their watch as if they were in another country. This means you can use certain payment apps or otherwise geospecific apps wherever you are in the world!
The app uses Android's built-in http_proxy command that turns on a proxy for the whole system and which normally can only be accessed using a computer and ADB Shell. This app however, uses the "ADB over Bluetooth" functionality of the watch to enable the proxy by itself. This can even be turned on at boot!
Installation
Method 1: Download the latest mobile-release.apk from https://github.com/Jolanrensen/PermanentProxy-for-WearOS/releases or from https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/nl.jolanrensen.permanentproxy and install it on your Android phone. Next, go to the "Apps on your phone" section in the Play Store on your Wear OS watch. Install Permanent Proxy.
(Google removed this ability sadly)
Method 2: Download the latest wear-release.apk from https://github.com/Jolanrensen/PermanentProxy-for-WearOS/releases. Install it on your Wear OS watch directly using ADB.
Wear installer can also be used:
Wear Installer makes it easy to sideload Wear OS apps again
A new app called Wear Installer makes it easy to sideload apps on your Wear OS smartwatch using your phone. Read on to know more!
www.xda-developers.com
Get started
To get started, first enable the Developer Options of your watch, which can be achieved by going to Settings -> System -> About and tap the Build number until you are a "developer". Next, go to Settings -> Developer options and enable "ADB debugging" and "Debug over Bluetooth". Finally start up Permanent Proxy, request permission and press "Allow" or "Always allow this Computer" if prompted. After requesting permission, ADB can be turned off again to save battery, unless you want to turn off the proxy completely.
Now you can get started! Simply enter a proxy address and port, enable it (and on boot if you like) and you're done!
Proxy services can be found online and can be from any country. However, do make sure you completely trust the proxy you chose before you enter it! All the data of your watch might be sent through that proxy, even sensitive data, so act at your own risk. I personally recommend strongly to create your own proxy. This can be done easily using the (trial of) Google Cloud. A tutorial can be found below:
Having trouble getting permission?
Some older watches are not powerful enough to get Secure Settings permission by itself using my method. If this is the case for your watch, you will need a PC to grant Permanent Proxy permission. The instructions are also available in the app description.
First make sure to connect your watch to your PC via ADB. You can Google how to do this, there are lots of tutorials. When your watch is connected, use the command
Code:
adb shell pm grant nl.jolanrensen.permanentproxy android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
to give Permanent Proxy the permissions needed to turn on/edit the proxy.
To turn off the proxy, connect to your PC in the same manner as before, but now you will need the following command:
Code:
adb shell settings delete global http_proxy; adb shell settings delete global global_http_proxy_host; adb shell settings delete global global_http_proxy_port; adb shell settings delete global global_http_proxy_exclusion_list; adb shell settings delete global global_proxy_pac_url; adb shell reboot
How to create a proxy on Google Cloud? (May 2020)
Go to console.cloud.google.com.
If you want to activate the free trial in the top-right corner, you can!

Fill in your information. You can pick your own country. It doesn't matter for the proxy.
Next you can create a new project by clicking here on the top bar, or you can use the default one.
From the sidebar on the (top)left, go to Compute Engine and VM instances:
And let's create a new VM instance:
Fill in the settings. Make sure the region and zone are set to a supported region for Google Pay on Wear OS. A safe bet is always to pick the US for this. For the machine type, just pick the cheapest one. This is fast enough for the proxy.
Next, we change the boot disk...
...to, let's say, the latest LTS version of Ubuntu:
After selecting, enable both HTTP- and HTTPS traffic
And, press Create!
Wait for it to load and then we can press "SSH" to connect to the VM. We can also already see the External IP. This is the IP our proxy will have eventually.
This opens up a terminal where we can start to set up the proxy!
Type "sudo adduser squid", enter and then it will create a new user. It will ask for a new password and to retype it. You can pick whatever you like. After this it will ask you for details. Just press enter until you're done.
Next, to add the user, type "sudo usermod -aG sudo squid"
Let's update the packages by typing " sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade". This might take a bit...
Now let's install squid using "sudo apt-get install squid" and press enter on "Do you want to continue?".
Also install nano, to be able to edit the config, using "sudo apt-get install nano".
Now that squid is installed, let's set it up. Type "sudo cp /etc/squid/squid.conf /etc/squid/squid.conf.bak" to make a backup of the config (If you mess up, you can restore it using "sudo cp /etc/squid/squid.conf.bak /etc/squid/squid.conf"), and to start editing the config, type "sudo nano /etc/squid/squid.conf".
Go to line 1411 by pressing Ctrl, Shift and -, and typing 1411, or use Ctrl+W to search for "http_access deny all". Replace "http_access deny all" with "http_access allow all" to make sure we can connect to the proxy.
Go to line 1907 by pressing Ctrl, Shift and -, and typing 1907, or use Ctrl+W to search for "http_port 3128". Replace 3128 by a random 5-digit number under 65536 (and make sure it's not a commonly used port, for security. Check wikipedia to find out which ports are common.) and note this down. This will be your port for the proxy.
Save the file using Ctrl+O and then press Enter. Next, leave nano using Ctrl+X. You'll end up back on the command line.
Restart squid using "sudo systemctl restart squid" and check if it's running using "sudo systemctl status squid".
Were done here! Type "exit" until the window closes.
Now we need to go to "Setup Firewall Rules. This setting can also be found under VPC network, Firewall rules from the side menu.
For both "default-allow-http" and "default-allow-https" we need to add our port. So for each, click on the name...
...hit Edit...
...and add the random port you chose before, with a comma in front, after the one already present in the tcp field.
Save, and then you're done (After you did both).
You should now be able to connect to the proxy using the Permanent Proxy app. Use the external IP mentioned above and the random port you came up with to connect.
If there's ever abnormally large usage of the vm or you're getting billed more than expected, quickly change the port to something else, as it might have been indexed by a free proxy website.
Some tips:
Create your own proxy. Free proxies might work, but usually they stop working within a couple of days if they work at all. A tutorial can be found above.
Proxies with a password don't work.
Don't sideload Google Pay on your watch. It should enable by itself.
Clearing the data of Google Pay using the settings on the watch also helps sometimes. You can also find remove updates / disable the app there.
After enabling the proxy, exit the app, give your watch some time and then check back in the Permanent Proxy app to see whether your External IP has changed to the one you entered as proxy. If so, good job, you're connected!
You can make your watch refresh its Google Pay availability check in two ways. Either by setting the IP/port again in the Permanent Proxy app, or by tapping "Home App" in Settings, System, About, Versions.
Does Google Pay still not appear? Sometimes you have to enable it by searching Google Pay in the Play Store. You can also use the Pay Enabler app, which takes you to the Google Pay page in the Play Store.
Google Pay works if you see the icon in your quick settings.
Google Pay gets stuck when adding a new card? Check the Google Play stores for updates for Google Pay.
Only cards you can use to pay with your phone in stores can be added to Google Pay on your watch. This means you'll need a card from a supported Google Pay country.
Permanent Proxy only works for IPv4 networks. If you're on a network that uses IPv6, in theory, Google can still check your country. Turn off WiFi if you have to.
Using a VPN on your phone that routs the internet traffic of the Wear OS app through it is an alternative to Permanent Proxy, but you'll have to turn off WiFi on your watch, only use Bluetooth and keep the VPN on your phone always on.
Uninstalling Permanent Proxy will not stop the proxy. Stop the proxy using the app before uninstalling it, or stop the proxy using the ADB command above.
Google Pay might not work if your Google account was created in a non-supported country. Try creating a new Google account (or migrating your own) using a VPN to a supported country, like the US (Failing to do so can result in "this app is no longer compatible with your device" on the Play Store at the Google Pay page). Your account is successfully migrated to the US, for example, if you see $ dollars in the Play Store. This must be your main account on the watch.
Permanent Proxy might not work if your watch connects to cellular directly.

@mods, sorry for the duplicate posts, the website is just incredibly slow when creating a thread. This is the right one. I tried to delete the others but it didn't work.

I have removed all your duplicate threads. Next time, use the Report Post system. Your @ mention didn't do anything.
:good:
Hi @Humpie,
wow, good job with that! I would like to try it, but is there any option to also fill login and password? I prefer to pay for some private proxy, but i think all of these services offer just with login/password.
Thank you for your answer!

I'm looking to see if it's possible but this is entirely dependent on Android itself. To start the Proxy I use the adb shell command "adb shell settings put global http_proxy <address>:<port>", which doesn't allow for credentials. So, if you find how to enable a proxy using adb with password, please let me know!

Actually, can you try something for me as you might have a proxy with login.
I came across this "<username>:<password>@<yourproxy.com>" being used as address. Maybe this would work as the address?
Good idea, but i don't have a ":" on my watch keyboard

LOL XD. Forgot about that.
Well, I do have a semi solution. If you long press the space bar, you can switch to handwritten mode where you cán type a ":". Good luck XD
But if it works I'll of course add a "username" and "password" option in the app itself.
Edit: if you can't do it on your watch, maybe you could try to type a proxy like this on a Wifi network on your phone! I don't have a proxy with username and password myself so I cannot check, unless you know a free one .
v2.0:
ADB over Bluetooth only needs to be enabled the first time using the app (more battery life yay!)
Way faster proxy switching using WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
New amoled black theme with better layout
It works!
Thanks! Now I can pay with a watch in the Czech Republic. Only port settings cannot be deleted if I enter the port incorrectly. The application data must be cleared and then re-entered.

Great to hear!
And thanks for the feedback, I do notice as well that the app crashes when you submit an empty port, I'll have a look at that. However, you can also just drag the cursor to the end and use the backspace key if you want to change it!

I used a free proxy from Poland without login ( free-proxy.cz ). I don't know if it's safe, but it works.
v2.1:
Possibly fixed proxy not turning off properly. A reboot always turns it off if enable on boot is disabled.
Added clearer loading screen and easier setup
before:
ADB over Bluetooth only needs to be enabled the first time using the app

New amoled black theme with better layout
Big update! Better in every way XD
v3.0
Proxy can now properly be turned off
Removed on boot setting as that happens automatically
Easier setup and better layout
Live external IP view
Remember: turning off wifi will make it work better!

CAn't download app
Hi, can't download app from Play Market, because "This app is incompatible with all of your devices."
My Device Fossil gen 5 (fossil Carlyle HR)
I cannot download, too, same problem with incompatible on TicWatch Pro. Connected with USB to computer and sideloaded via ADB file from github.

Yup I'm aware. I've been trying to explain and change the app in a lot of ways to make Google's software recognize that the app does NOT get stuck at the "requesting permissions" screen. It's completely bonkers that they cannot just wait for 5 seconds. This is the reason it gets blocked from the play store.
Maybe v3.2 will be accepted, who knows. I'll keep you up to date.
Until then you can indeed sideload the Wear version from github on your watch or install the mobile version from github (or XDA Labs) on your phone and the app will appear in "Apps on your phone" in the Play Store on your watch.
Any proxy suggestions...tried a few but none worked.
