Obviously i'm going to try this. I went to just buy it given what you're asking, seems fair. Here is my thing though. I see you're offering it on a third party store. probably because some don't like using google store? I can understand this. Any way we/I could purchase it directly from you instead of adding yet another third party vendor/store to the list of places i have to get my apps from? Or for users who do not mind the play store pffer it there, ofcourse at a cost that lets you get what you think you deserve with the 30% google cut. If its a matter of privacy or the 30% google takes id rather just pay you and get a license file then some one else.

I don't publish it to Google Play Store, because they don't accept my country to sell apps :/. Both the free and the donation one are the same, if you are still wanting to donate you can use the donate button here in Xda and download the one at play store (I think that Google haven't updated it to the newest one, but they will). Or you can download the one in the OP (They all are the same).

So is showing your data ip address instead of your wifi ip address? If it so try relaunching the app and entering with the wifi turned on.

Frequently asked questions
Q: How do I root my phone?
A: It depends on your phone model. Just search the forum for tutorials in rooting your phone. Ive used gingerbreak and z4root on my P500 and it works all the time.
Q: I dont have Android Market installed on my phone, How can I install your app?
A: If you don't have Android Market, or for any other reason can not find DroidVPN there, you can download from our site instead: http://droidvpn.com/download.php
Note that if you don't have Android Market, you must install the app and download updates manually. Updates are announced via our Forum, Twitter and Facebook pages.
Q: It doesn't work on my phone. What should I do?
A: Post your log file. You can enable debug logging by going to Settings > and enable "Debug logging". A DroidVPN.txt file will be saved on the root folder of your sdcard.
You could also post the output of logcat. Download alogcat here https://market.android.com/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat Or this direct link: http://alogcat.googlecode.com/files/alogcat-2.3.apk
Q: How can I choose the location of VPN server?
A: Click the flag icon on the upper right corner of the screen to switch between servers.
Q: Where can I get an account?
A: Signup here: Signup for a free trial account - DroidVPN! and check your email for your password. Your username would be your full email address.
Q: Will it redirect all my internet traffic to your VPN?
A: Yes all your applications network connections will go through our VPN servers.
Q: Does DroidVPN support OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP, IPsec ?
A: DroidVPN uses it's own simple and efficient protocol with UDP, ICMP and TCP. It doesn't support PPTP, L2TP, IPsec.
Q: How secure is DroidVPN?
A: DroidVPN is not designed to be the MOST secure tunneling software in the world, we focused mainly on speed, stability, rich of features, easy to use but making sure it is still secure enough.
Q: Why do I get "Can't allocate tun device"?
A: This error means that the tun module is not loaded. Make sure you have installed a compatible tun.ko for your phone. You can try our TUN.ko Installer if we already have a tun.ko for your phone. You can view our complete list of tun modules here: http://droidvpn.com/tun-repository.php
Q: I am getting P R P R P R in my logs. What do they mean?
A: Those will only appear if you enabled Debug logging. It is used to check if you are still connected to the server. P means that it is pinging the server and R means that it successfully received a reply from the server.

Do you have a proxy set for your browser? Or it could also be a DNS issue. Try visiting this page on your android browser and see if it will load: http://74.125.224.48/ <- google.com
Cleaned out everything under my APN settings, now it works on both my Nexus One and Galaxy Nexus. But when switching between wifi and mobile data, you have to manually disconnect and reconnect. Can this be fixed?

I guess that could be done Thanks for the feedback.
Seems to use a lot of battery? Over the last session it have consumed the same as AndroidOS.
Just as with manually switching wifi, it seems not to reconnect when it says it does. Can that be fixed? If you lose signal for mobile data and regain it u have to manually restart.

I believe that is normal since it would be running all the time unless you disconnect it. You might want to read this since openvpn and our app functions almost the same.

We are still working on that. But right now it will actually try to reconnect if it detects that no data is being transferred within 60 seconds.

Guys,
Android has an excellent array of security apps to protect you against threats of malware and viruses. But in my opinion, privacy issues are a far greater concern. Thanks for the user zagzag99 who translated it in English from Google Translator.
What permissions and elements of my phone are newly installed apps using? How safe is the private data I store on my phone? This was a gap in my knowledge that I wanted to fill – and LBE Privacy is a great tool for this job.
The app protects my privacy, and safeguards services that could cost me money if the wrong apps gained control of them. It does all this with a beautiful and intuitive interface.

LBE Privacy has a well-designed interface with a simple colour scheme of white and blue. At the forefront of the design is a welcoming main screen displaying the Internet, Privacy, Money, Applications and Settings options.
This great design found through the app makes using it easier and more intuitive – but more than that, it helped me, psychologically, to trust it; the fact they’ve thought out the design makes me feel more comfortable with the app, and lets me assume that the code behind the scenes is also well-designed.
LBE Privacy Guard’s/master privacy offerings were the main draw for me; while the ROM I run (Cyanogenmod) already allows me to decide what permissions to grant apps, it’s nowhere near as powerful or easy to use as LBE Privacy Guard/Master.
This app lets you restrict access to SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Positioning, and your Phone ID. By default, when an app on your phone attempts to use one of the previously mentioned permissions on your phone LBE Privacy Guard/Master will ask you whether to allow it or not.
For those of you interested, there is also an events log showing the history of requests by all the apps on your phone.
Money
This function of LBE Privacy Guard/Master protects your pocket! It blocks apps from accessing permissions that could cost you money: SMS and the ability to make phone calls. This section also appears in the aforementioned event log.
By default, all non-system apps are set to prompt you when requesting access to such features. Although this wasn’t a feature I was looking out for, I feel now that its quite an important one and something I should have wanted much earlier.
Application Monitoring
The section allows you to browse each app on your phone and change the permissions each app has access to. I’ll run through the options for Angry Birds which you can see in the screenshot. The first option, Trust. allows you to automatically allow the app access to everything: SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, Positioning and your Phone ID. It’s also possible to adjust access to these items separately; for instance, to help ensure I don’t go over my download limit I’ve denied a lot of apps access to my Data.
Internet:
The Internet section of LBE Privacy Guard isn’t really related to privacy, apart from giving you the ability to restrict certain apps from accessing the net. You’ll see a graph showing how much data you’ve used from your plan, as well as your Wi-Fi usage. Once you set a limit for your data plan, LBE Privacy Guard will alert you if you cross 90% of your allocated amount.
The options included are pretty useful: you’re able to set the billing day for the month so the app keeps prefect track of the amount of data you have left on your plan for the billing month, not the actual month! For those of you just installing the app now, there’s also the option to adjust monthly data usage so LBE Privacy Guard is on track from day one.
Settings Available
The settings area allows you to toggle the different features I’ve already gone through. It’s also possible to turn off notifications – though I find this pretty useful as it shows how much of my data plan I’ve used – and to stop the app starting on boot-up, though in my opinion that’s not something you should do without thinking about first; this app needs to be running all the time to ensure it’s protecting your privacy.
Conclusion
LBE Privacy Guard/Master keeps impressing me the more I use it. Not only has it excelled at guarding my privacy (as its name would suggest), it’s also helped me cut down on my data usage. Thanks to this, I’ll be able to get a cheaper contract in January when my contract needs renewing – so the app has saved me money!
Regarding privacy: be sure to spend a few minutes going through the settings, both overall and for each app, as this is what will make this app so powerful and easy to use. There are many features on offer, so if you’re not interested in some please don’t decide against using this great app – just turn them off. LBE Privacy Guard will keep your data safe.

Hi all today I present you with NOT LAST SEEN for Whatsapp
In no way did I develop or create this app I am simply Just Sharing with you guys.
At last, you can hide the Whatsapp "Last seen" message! You will be able to use Whatsapp at any time and anyone will know it!
Thanks to this application no one will be able to see the last time you have used Whatsapp. However... You will be able to see your friends "Last seen"!
Enter to whatsapp as usually, block process is automatic. you don't have to enter to any application to block your last seen.
Important: While you are in Whatsapp you don’t received messages and you can write them but they won’t be send. When you leave Whatsapp or turn off the screen, your written messages will be send and your pending ones will be received.
The changes done to config Mobile Data are only notified when done from Android default menu.
Please use Android default menu to turn on/off Mobile Data(Settings->Data usage) while "Last Seen" are blocking, don't use widget or shortcut.
How does it work? When you are in whatsapp, automatically, your network is disabled to block "last seen" notification. Once out of Whatsapp(or turn off screen), automatically, your network is restored to the previous state.
You can see your friends "Last seen" while this application is enabled, just open the conversation of your friend, press home button, wait for some seconds and open whatsapp again!
No ROOT needed.

 You can't see them, because you haven't a network connection if you open whatsapp... and if you have a connection, you will send your status.

Isn't there a way to modify the apk file of whatsapp if your rooted to take this setting away?
Hi,
After I reflashed android ROM to stock 4.3, rooted, restored my apps with TiBackup (done that process thousands of times) something strange happened.
Now from time to time file Mobogenie_1501.apk downloads by itself. I didn't open it (just in case). I delete it from downloads folder and after a day it downloads again (I can see that in notifications).
I didn't install anything unusuall except http://download.chainfire.eu/351/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip. Everything else - the stuff from Google Play I used for ages.
What is this Mobogenie_1501.apk?

http://www.mobogenie.com/ is actually a PC manager but not sure what this app is meant for ( could be a market app like this or malware, so just use settings > applications> untick unknow sources and go into manage applications ( look under downloaded or third party ) to uninstall it.

The last three times I got it were twice while using flipboard (on android central and space.com articles) and the last while opening sammobile.com... Seems pretty random.
Sent from my phone using the "Send" button.
I got it while trying to open xda developers website on mobile Chrome. something fishy is going on.
Malware?
Same problem here guys, seems to happen with any website randomly. Seems like some kinda adware/malware unrelated to the actual mobogenie. Can't recall doing anything in particular that I can pin down to when this started, then again I'm always fiddling... I just delete it every time it downloads. Would really like to get this cleared up. Don't mind trying to figure it out myself, but don't know where to start. Would welcome suggestions.

install anti virus / malware apps to trace where its embedded and delete or clear data/cache of that app

After some testing it looks like it's in some way linked to AdSense. After disabling it the popups stoped.
Can someone who have a website with adsense and this download prompt verify this?

Could you provide a web address example with adsense? Coz I'm not sure I know such.
Or do you believe that this is related to a particular ad being displayed while opening the web page?

I do have avast as well.
And I don't believe antivirus is capable of telling me that app some app initiated file download. Almost all apps have access to network and can initiate file downloads.

if you a have avast try run a full scan, to see what it detects, you can also install other apps to see what they detect ( had a similar problem ( always getting full screen ads) some time back which was related to candy crush app. and yes sig is mine , half related to android and the other half documentaries.

you need to install a number of malware apps, they will give different results as what may be the problem. Once traced, you can uninstall them.

Take a look on spidersweb.pl - but not on main pages or archives but on single pages. On mobile devices ads have display:none, so you won't see them. Still the download prompt should appear after some tries.
Also xda uses google ads and someone wrote that he got this prompt here.
Just got it at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520923
Going to refresh and maybe try a few more pages on xda - got nothing on spidersweb.pl even after a few refreshes on individual posts. Took a screenshot, but it's not uploading :/

Candy crush? This is the app I installed recently. And this is the only thing I did differently than normally.
Lets try to uninstall it.
Any luck? I don't have candy crush or any other apps from King . com as listed on Google play.

I cleared all caches (all apps cache, cache partition and dalvik) and so far had got no download prompt for it. Not sure this is actually related but may work. I think it wont hurt trying for yourselves and giving feedback here.
Edit: Nevermind. Just got it again while browsing android police through Flipboard. Looks like something sniffing the network or some kind of push service.
Did any of you notice of it happened on 3G or only Wi-Fi??
Edit 2: Happens on both.

There are things I don't want about update, and things I don't want to lose with update. I have postponed every time it asks, but Samsung says I can only postpone 2 more times. Is there any way to avoid this?

Disabling just that app only stops the firmware updates. My stock N10+ is running on Pie for example.

For the setup process did you have to remove all google accounts (and then reinstall after), connect phone to pc, debug, etc? Description of app sounded a little daunting. Do you think there's anything risky? I really DO NOT want to install the next android version, and am running out of time. Can't believe they're going to force it on me, so definitely want a workaround. Thanks for your help.
I use Package Disabler.
A adb edit can also be used.
Neither require removing Google accounts!
My personal method for disabling apps is by using this code in ADB
(assuming ADB is already setup and you have USB debugging enabled):
adb shell pm disable-user **ENTER.PACKAGE.NAME.HERE**
I personally use MiXplorer app, open menu on the left side, choose App then
search update; tap on what looks like the correct app and see the package
name. Each carrier may use different packages.
For me on my Huawei P30 Pro the complete command would look like this:
adb shell pm disable-user com.huawei.android.hwouc

I think adb is a little beyond me. I will give Package Disabler a try. This is what it says on its app page about removing Google acct, etc:, which I wondered if you had to do:
** No Rooting required **
** You will have to remove all google accounts temporarily to activate this app then you can add back your accounts**
** You will need to connect your device to PC once and run a command as listed below**
** Uninstall within few hours to get automatic refund, if you are not happy with the app**
Enable developer options
Open developer options and disable auto update system
Open software update and disable auto download
No adb or paid garbage required.

OK, that will disable the auto update, but what about the forced update after a certain number of postponements, different than auto?

I'm not 100% sure it will stop the clock once it's already ticking. I've never gotten that far. I do know it will prevent it from trying to update, though. Any update with those settings has to be manually checked. I don't even get notice when they're available.

Disable the app I showed you that should hopefully kill it...
Clearing the system cache apparently does not clear the download.
If it loads and upgrades the bootloader, you're boned.
PROBLEM: When I try to buy in playstore, it says transaction declined. I did read in one of the reviews that google has some kind of problem with license, surely political., although it still appears in playstore - can't get it. Is there any other way to get/buy/install the app?

A lot of apps get suspended for political reasons, but this one was legitimate. That said, if you are sure it's what you want, you can buy it on their website. It's the first Google result for "Package Disabler" but make sure to get what you want done as soon as you buy it. One of the big things that led to the app being removed was the developer revoking licenses to force additional purchases.

Thanks. It's on my list of things to do today. I did go to the site, and am slightly reluctant to use credit card, no paypal option even. I feel a lot more comfortable buying through playstore, not to mention the price on developer site is 5 british pounds, over $7 US. Wouldn't mind the price if it does what I want. Looks like a very complicated process from buying through activating. We'll see. It's a good lead for sure and I appreciate the input.
Before going the package disabler route, I've gone into developer options and have disabled automatic software update and am at the point of "stopping" the software update active app, but get a message saying the app cannot be stopped safely, so I'm still undecided. While looking around, I triggered one more software update postponement, so am down to one. Do you think it's safe to stop the software update in spite of the warning? I think it might help, or it might just reload next time phone is started.

Best stop screwing around or it will make the decision for you... that update app is insidious and acts more like malware. It has just about every permissions there is.
If you don't package block it, don't be surprised if it supersedes your settings

I've used it at least 3 times over the years. MC and Visa purchases in the US are insured and for 5 bucks I don't sweat it.
That update app is a ball buster, I hate it. It's caused me more trouble than any Android malware has in the last 8 years
