[Q] Need stock nandroid for i9023?!?! - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. First off, I want to appologize if this is not the right section for my question. This is my first time here at your forums.
Anyways.....
My real question is...Does anyone have a nandroid that i can use for my i9023?!
I bought it two days ago. Got ahead of myself. Anyways long story short I can restore through clockworkmod recovery. But I can not flash any roms. kernels, anything. That is completely locked out. I need this phone for tomorrow. Hoping someone can save me a few hours of sleep. I need pretty much any version of a nandroid backup for nexus s i9023.
My phone does not have root anymore, but as i can not do anything else but clockworkmodrecovery (specificially the restore function.....) I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could send me any type of nandroid backup. I will try all of them. PLEASE!?
Also. I have been at this for approx 5 hours now. tried everything there is. but no installing a zip file. PERIOD. only thing i have gotten to work is the restore fucntion

What are you trying to backup? Your ROM? You can backup the ROM using Mestrini's Wizard Service Tool (WST for short).

[Q] cannot backup in CWM

first off, hats off to the entire xda community for all your hard work and dedication. I learned how to root my Dinc from these forums and been obsessed ever since.
that said, I decided to help a friend out at work with her Sammy Mesmerize. It took a lot of doing nothing at work 'cept for playing with her phone, and looking at different forums, to finally root the thing. Now I have CWM installed and it shows all the normal stuff but when I try to run a nandroid backup it says "cannot backup boot image" and terminates the process. Is there something I can do because I'm a noob and out of ideas at this point. I'm not gonna pull a Barney Fife and try to flash a ROM without it so I need some help plz. Thanks in advance
I had this same issue w/ a Showcase... I'm curious to see how to correct it.

Need Stock Gingerbread for Unroot

I need to return this phone. Bad pixles. I have unrooted it and restored the stock 2.2 rom nandroid. But this phone was shipped with gingerbread. I can't get it to update using the LG software. It says my software is up to date. So I guess I have to root again and flash the stock gb. Will someone help me locate stock gb zips or nandroids?
you have to do some trick with that lg updater to get it to work. Atleast, I had to. If i can find those steps I'll posted.
try this: unless you found a gb zip..

or here are the zip files..

I havent looked but I am sure there is a nandroid or.zip of stock GB in the dev section. If not I just returned my phone to stock because I got a new one and I just wanted to mess around so went to my original GB from befor I played witht the phone and did a factory reset then made a nandroid copy of that on my old phone because the new one was used and the person had someone else do the rooting and flashing for him and they never made a backup of the original. So I took the nandroid backup from my old phone and restored it on the newer one and it worked perfectly. So If you need and it is allowed I can post the copy of that nandroid backup and that should work I think.
Note I am not an expert so if anyone knows better please chime in. But I think that should be okay to send back for warenty exchange. Unless they really look they wont know the difference. I'm sure that they can always tell if they try jhard enough. So when you are on the phone with them make sure you are polite and dont lose your temper for any reason because that will m ake them look harder for a reason not to help you. Thats just my advice. Good luck
You should flash the development section on your phone
Thanks. I cant seem to figure out how to flash those bin files
Now I've done it! I found this file 2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash and flashed the "flash" app. Now my phone thinks its a p990. What have I done! How do I reverse this! It wont let me flash clockwork recovery anymore
HOT DAMN! I GOT IT! Finally found exactly what was looking for!

Coming from Samsung, What to back up on the HOX?

Hey folks.
I've had my Rogers One X for about 11 months now, but been running completely stock. Going to make the plunge, Unlock, flash, etc.
My question, is HTC seems to do things differently than I'm used to. I've rooted and flashed quite a few ROMs on some Samsung devices, which were very easy. HTC doesn't seem to have the same utilities. Also, they seem to use a different layout than Samsung does. Previously, I knew to make a nandroid backup, I've saved my efs folder separately, then good to go. Is there a certain folder on the One X I should ensure I back up so if worst comes to worst I can have an attempt at restoring? Generally a Nandroid backup should be good enough, is that the case?
Just want to make sure I'm not forgetting anything yet. I've been having a hell of a time trying to help someone fix their Note II they screwed up, don't want that situation to happen to my phone.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
You can make a nandroid backup in case something goes wrong but typically, if something goes wrong to the point where you can't flash a rom, you also would not be able to access your nandroid backup...
I suggest reading all the stickies and being familiar with adb and fastboot if you're not already before rooting.
Good luck. If you have any questions, there are a few of us that watch this section quite diligently, though we appreciate if you can take the steps to help yourself (reading, searching) before asking for help.
Good Luck!
