Try looking again, or try a Google search. I did, and it took two seconds to see an answer, But you may have to... Gulp... read a bit... Next question, why did you settle on xboarders rom? Why not cm7 Nightlies, or weapon, or miui?

while you guys are on a roll, does the CM7 nightlies use the 5 gig extra internal storage? Or does it send all apps to the sd?

Ok OP, you just answered your own question: 2.3.3. Please stop posting stuff that can be easily found by surfing through the dev section for a bit. If you were to open, or maybe even look at (oh the horror) some of the threads in the dev section marked [KERNEL] and saw them labeled for 2.3.3 then you could have answered your own question without making yourself look stupid and gain a bad reputation.

I can understand that you guys get annoyed with him if he is just trying to get his post count up I really dont know or care if that is what is going on but come on stop picking on people who misspell unless it is really bad and you cant understand it. But if you didnt understand what the op meand in the first post then you are the idiot not him. I make spelling mistakes all the time sometimes it is because i am not so good with the touch screen and other times it is because I am too lazy to go back and fix it. Just ligghten up alittle some of you guys are tight asses and that is really getting annoying.

Some of his other posts have been damn near incomprehensible. It's the asking questions that have been answered before, and the demanding answers and links without searching, and the one that gets me most, being rude to people who are trying to help.
Maybe it's because I am an old guy but, I just don't think people should act that way especially in a community based forum where people try to help each other.
And he wants to develop a rom and i applaud him for that. But A) he is going to need to do some reading. And B) who is going to flash someone's rom when they can barely read the OP?
I am just trying to help him understand that there is a social code that should be followed.

I tried the faux kernel and my phone would not reboot properly. Either they are not compatible or i did the wrong wipe.

You can't really blame them as they've put up with people who thought they were too good for the rules for so damn long. We'll ignore the fact that when you first show up in the Infuse forums, there's a forum labeled Q&A. Common sense would dictate that maybe questions should go there.
So you already showed a lack of common sense by skipping over a forum plainly labeled Q&A for all the world to see. After running blindly past that forum you ended up here in the development section. I mean yeah you really shouldn't be tossing random questions here but I could see how it could confuse you, here you see TWO CM7 threads, wow you hit the jackpot!
But once again instead of taking a minute to check those posts out, instead of using the handy dandy search tool up there ^ and instead of at least posting in one of the other CM7 related threads, you decided to say **** IT to common sense and created a brand new thread for your question.
You aren't special, the question has been asked and answered elsewhere, go forth and find the answer you seek.

i mean cmon dude. its a question. if you connect the dots, it can easliy lead you to the Q&A... i do not see one bit of android development here... development of flaming is freaking blossoming though.

our devs who left left for a better phone with better software support that isn't held back by that carrier since it can have software ported from the international version but they each may build one last rom when att drops gb, mikey is still answering in his thread and he and gtg both indicated that they may give it one last shot when the official gb drops. also entropy is still here, though he also got a gs2.

Zeus Rom custom ringtones not working

For some reason my contacts ringtones have quit working and my phone ringtones plays for everyone. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this and what the solution may be?

Well, nevermind. I installed Ringo from the Market and it worked that way. I had tried setting the contact ringtones thru both the system contacts as well as GoContacts and neither worked. But this did. Weird.
Anyone understand this?

Nun is right... but the only thing that irritates me is if you will look in general and [email protected], there are 7 Zeus threads created by people who don't feel like posting in the actual Zeus [email protected] thread. That's why I don't answer in these threads anymore, I have pointed and pointed people in the right direction to Zeus thread til I'm blue in the face. I think everyone should at least ask where it is, rather than start a multitude of threads... I can't be all over the place at one time, the reason I have a [email protected] thread, lol.... just stating the facts. I'm sorry, but i just can't take it anymore. Every morning for the past few weeks, I'd go on xda, anticipating some great new app, ROM, or just anything. And lately, there's been a lot new roms, which i love and thank the devs very much for. But with those roms came new questions and problems. I understood that people had simple questions to ask, and those questions were answered. But after a while, the forums just turned to...uh garbage. Everybody is asking the same questions that were answered time after time, not reading and posting the same things over and over. Also, everyone feels the need to be rude to others or argue. If it's something about a rom, fine. But if it's a post saying how you suck or if it's a repeated question, don't feed the fire by adding back or acknowledging that question. Just ignore it. I'm sorry for this long post,i just looked at the AOKP Q&A, and it's 40 pages. There's absolutely no reason for it to be that long, and most of it is repeated questions and people fighting with each other. This is the internet, you're never gonna see each other, so don't be offended. If I'm breaking any forum rules, again, I'm sorry. It just seems that is in style lately.

That's what the Q&A thread is for.. inquiries and discussions. The reason it is there is to leave the development threads clean of repetitive questions. I think you're just being a little dramatic. The search function isn't exactly top notch, and this is the internet.. so there will be people who are gonna be either lazy or rude, or both.

It's a never ending cycle. When development pics up, so does the acts of noob... I am guilty of it too. As for loosing the search button, it happens a lot. Erik and I was just discussing that the other night...lol
Bottom line, as long as the dev threads are clean, then it shouldn't really be a problem. When real issues come up, we dev's usually post them in our threads. As for the q&a's, we should focus to keep those clean as well, because there can be a lot of useful information post there as well.

Well i use xda on my phone, and for some reason, whenever i try to search, everything comes up as 0 results, so that's why i had to use those threads. But you know, you learn from your past mistakes. Now i reflash when something goes wrong in a ROM, and i read more. But, like i said, it's getting harder to read, when the whole forum is becoming cluttered

Regarding searching from the app, I don't. The search function sucks from the app, so I wait until I have time to search from my laptop, then start a thread if no results can be found.
Patience is key, its just a phone wait til you can properly attempt to help yourself before asking for assistance.

Almost all important info you will ever need are in the stickies. If you like something specific like i do bookmark it or subscribe to it. I can only imagine if you get a very popular phone that would be hell to ppl like you.
