[Q] Touch Screen Calibration lost when reboot. - General Questions and Answers

Hi There!
I Have bought one "ching ling" Tablet. It uses processor Telechips of 1Ghz, have 512MB of RAM and 8GB TTF included. it have to some cool things, like hdmi out and 3g dongle support that works fine using a ZTE MF190.
My android in this tablet is v2.3.3 Gingerbread.
But I have a little problem.
I turn it on, I calibrate the touch screen (it's resistive), now everything is perfect, my touch are working good, but when I restart my tablet, i need to re-calibrate the touch screen. I've made a factory reset but this error persist.
anything erase the configuration.
How I can fix it? It's very boring.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks for the help.

Hi, i have found a tutorial to update the rom of koby mid8125 to smartcom 800 using fwdn.
Ive done that, the problems with my firmware are gone, but now the screen is out of alligment. Its located approx 5 mm top left.
If i recalibrate everything works ok, i just cant see top left content thats within 5mm.
Is there any way i can allign that screen, its frustrating like this.
My tablet is kyros mid8125 clone - Mpman Mp824 4gb

I tried rooting it even though it came partly rooted and now evey time it is cut off or it reboots it is back to as if it came straight out the box. Do any one have any idea on a fix for this?

Glad someone else is looking to root JLAB also!
I am desperately looking for info on this also. You left out the biggest surprise and annoyance with this low-end tablet...NO ABILITY TO MOVE APPS TO THE SD CARD!!! This thing is running 4.4.2 for Chris sake! After OS install, you only have 5GB internal memory. I put a 32GB card on it in order to shuffle off the app memory hogs and I can't even use it!!! <calming down...>
As a result, I get "insufficient memory available" errors for many programs. And some won't even consider the tablet for install. I know you get what you pay for, but the specs on this thing aren't awful. It just needs a decent OS on it. I tried loading into the bootloader once and almost bricked it. When rebooted, the "JLAB" opening screen came up and just stayed there...forever. I finally had to leave it on overnight to completely run down the battery to get it back from the abyss.
Please, if anyone has this thing and is able to put a decent rooted OS on it, post it here. Thank you!
+1 any headway?
I got one for xmas from a friend... I was able to root it with kingo root tool for windows.
I hope this helps.
Make sure debug mode is on in developers options.
To enable this mode clicking the "build number" a few times in system settings.
It rooted my device but i ran into a few issues. First every time the device does a full restart it makes me do the welcome wizard also
(unsure if my defective or not) my wifi signal becomes extremely weak even though i am sitting next to the router.
Kewlz now that we have root all we need is a custom recovery. Id be willing to test out a recovery if someone wants to make one.
I found out the all these cheap tablets are rebraned the manufactor is trio they also sell tablets under their own name.
For the love of God please make a room for this. It's often rebranded please let us know if it works with some other room.

I also rooted my Pro 7 using KingoRoot and am now facing the issue of a factory reset every time the device restarts or powers off/powers on. Were you, or anyone else able to solve this problem? Thanks!
I did not resolve the issue. I returned the thing and got my money back. There are much better options out there then this cheapo thing.
There are definitely better options but it was free on cyber Monday at tiger direct. It will be a decent tablet for my young son if I'm able to get it sorted.

I agree with you. But logically it's been a year and these China tablets see no dev love. Unless you know the inners of android OS... I wouldn't suggest it because you will be taking on issues like this alone. ebay the Toshiba Thrive. They are really cheap now and run so much better. If i remember right someone made custom kitkat for it. It's really durable and strong perfect for a kid.

It's been several years since I had an android device but I go the same black friday deal and figured that it would be a great ereader (free). Now I need a little more room so I'm trying to root but both kingo and king root failed for me.. Any ideas? I'm on a mac running windows through a VM but I don't think that is the issue.
Your version is obviously newer as this thread was made last Xmas. As I stated these devices have little to no support so finding a working root would be hard. Your computers os shouldn't matter. If you want an easy root return the device and get a name brand device.

Bought 16gb nook tablet touch screen doesn't work

Bought a 16gb nook tablet (BNTV250) and the touch screen doesn't work. Ok maybe sometimes in certain spots.
Anyway there is something very wrong with the touchscreen. When I bought it, it had stock B&N firmware in it.
Now my question is how do I know if the touchscreen controller chip is bad or if someone loaded CM into it a left
10 touch firmware in the in the touchscreen controller ?
If I install CM into this nook does the CM rom detect whether it has 10 touch or 2 touch firmware in it and go from there ??
So many noob questions sorry about that.

Samsung Galaxy Core 2 input/touchscreen lag

Hello,
I have just bought my first android phone, Samsung core 2.
The problem is, it works very smooth, but there is very noticeable input lag on touchscreen. During surfing internet or playing a game, when I touch screen there is 0.3-0.5 seconds until it is registered. That delay is very annoying when texting and gaming. I have tried out my friend's Core 2 and he does not have this problem. Many other phones that are lot worse than it have almost instant touchscreen response, yet my phone sucks when it comes to that.
I bought it only like 3 days ago and they won't return my money or replace the phone. Only thing they offered is "we can "do" software on your phone" (I do not know what they meant by that). So I'm stuck with this phone which otherwise works nice but has this horrible touchscreen input lag.
Are there any things which can help me to make touchscreen response faster? Like flashing custom ROM on it or something? Did anyone else have similar problem with it?

see Samsung Galaxy Core 2 (SM-G355H) Root by cyyong95
This thread will be moved to Galaxy Core Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi,
In your settings menu find Magnification gestures which is triple tap to zoom. Turn it off and then your input, touchscreen and numberpad dialing will be very smooth.
Thanks,

If u state what version of OS are U using and model and if it's stock launcher with purely ported touchwiz for our phones, try flash/upgrade or use the custom roms if available.

Android x86 on Surface Pro 4

Hi guys,
I've been browsing multiple forums and have tried multiple solutions to get Android running as a second OS next to Windows 10 but haven't been able to get a stable working touchscreen.
I see a few posts saying that Bliss has added drivers for the Microsoft Surface touchscreens. I've tried multiple installations containing the tag "surface-pro-4" and "sp4". My findings are that the touchscreen is indeed working after installation, however it stops working after a while. Sometimes a minute after I boot up without doing anything, sometimes during a game, it seems completely random.
I've also tried different versions of the Phoenix OX, which gives me exactly the same issues. I've been searching the interwebs and found more people with this issue. I also found some posts of people claiming they have been able to stabalize the touchscreen, however I haven't been able to get in contact with them.
I'm pretty new to Android when it comes to running the OS on an x86 machine, but I know my way around Linux. If there's anything that should be modified I'd like to hear your thoughts as well. I don't need a complete how-to, just some directions for what to look for and I'll figure it out.
When I look at the issue, my gut points me to power saving options. However the fact that the screen so randomly stops working is not really in line with this thought.
My question: Has anyone managed to get a stable version of Android running on the Surface Pro 4 with a working touchscreen? If so, could you let me know which image you used for installation? I don't really care about the Android version (it doesn't have to ben 8.1), as long as I can get it running stable (not too old of course).
I'd love to hear your experiences or thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance, if anyone needs more information, please let me know and I'll be happy to supply.
Should I get it working at some point, I'd be more than happy to write a full how-to and post it here on the forums.
Kind regards.
I have one dual booting Bliss and working well. You'll need a bleeding edge rom. I'm running Bliss-v10.1-Beta-android_x86_64-OFFICIAL-20180602-1820_k4.16.8-ipts-blissified-ath_18.1.0-devel_w14_sp4.iso. In fact, I'm posting this from my Surface Pro running Bliss.

Did you install a different kernel or just the blissOS rom mentioned? Thx
Running as is. A few caveats from 3 months use: 1. Battery usage is not monitored; 2. Seems to run the processor flat out, so battery life is not great and the tablet runs on the warm side; 3. Buttons don't work, so no external volume control and powering off takes a long button hold to force shut down; 4. You'll need the keyboard attached to select boot options.
The rom I'm using has been moved.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissos-x86/files/Official/
I've been looking at later builds, but they seem complicated to set up.
For me, I'm using surface pro 2017 (which I think not really different from the sp4) running phoenix os. It works fine but without Bluetooth, warm on the back, sleep mode doesn't work and there's no battery percentage (it's always 100%)
Try Prime OS (mainline) version on Surface Pro
I'm playing around with PrimeOS on SurfacePro1 in liveboot mode. Almost everything seems to be working well.
Pros
Bluetooth and wifi works
Hardware buttons work well.
Games like PubG run smoothly. Button mapping is baked into the ROM
Even the pen works with well. I've tried the skechbook Android app
*One note app says that it does not support Android app on Intel devices
Cons
Sleep mode does not work like it does on phones and tabs. It'll just turn the display black and it's probably still running. Screen bleeding is obvious which is a surfacePro1 issue.
