I have a Reliance NetConnect+ (CDMA) USB Broadband modem. As seen here: http://reliancenetconnect.co.in/buynow
Is it possible to detect this hardware in Transformer and use further?. This CDMA USB Stick requires me to dial-in a predefined number(#777) and then supply the username+password credentials.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
i'm wondering if could exist any chance to connect via USB port a Windows Mobile phone (in my case HTC touch pro - wm6.1) and a USB 3G Router (Sitecom WL-357) which normally works with USB 3G Keys.
Activating the "Internet Sharing" via USB doesn't help at all and for what i currently know, the Sitecom WL-357 is based on a Linux Distro and all the source code is available from the manufacturer site since it's under GPL.
Any hints? Would be easier to develop an application on the mobile phone side or to hack the firmware from the router side?
Any feedback or experiences really appreciated!!!
Take care, R.
Is there a way to use my Droid Eris as a wireless gateway/router?
The idea is to tether the Eris to a computer with a wired connection via USB and connect devices to the phone so they use the wired (faster) connection speed versus the cellular network.
As an example, someone might be stuck in a hotel that, miraculously, only provides wired internet access, and wants to watch HD movies over the network.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You could do that with the computer and bypass the phone altogether, assuming your laptop has wireless and almost all modern ones do.

Thanks for the response, I should have clarified:
The wired computer in question is running Windows XP with no Bluetooth capability and ICS locked down.
I have reserved admin rights (i.e. install, add new network connections) with a few core functions disabled (creating/joining home or office networks).
This may very well be a no-win situation, but I am wondering if the "heavy" lifting (i.e. connection bridging) could be done by the Eris.
I have just purchased Milagrow TabTop 7.4 (MGPT04). It runs on Android 4.0. It supports 3G USB Dongles. But whenever I put in my D-Link dongle, it displays message 'Damaged SD card..'.
So, how to make this dongle work ?
Also, I have Reliance Net Connect Plus Dongle. After connecting it, no message is displayed.
So, will somebody help me to configure these dongles to work with my tablet ?
Airtel E1731 experience in Milagrow tabtop 7.4
I tried to use airtel dongle E1731 in my milagrow tablet. It is getting notification such as roaming, airtel signal icon in task bar. But i'm not getting internet connection activation or msg. Green LED is blinking not glowing continuous. How to resolve this issue?
For all there tablets you need a unlocked huawei dongle with mobile partner software installed in it...
Find such a wcdma dongle..
The benefits of such dongle is you no need to set apn each time you change sim it automatically detects the apn...
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
Hi.
I own a Me301T and I can connect a Huawei E1550 USB Stick to my Tablet. On a german Board someboy mentioned, this combination works using UMTS Manager.
My tablet is able to see the UMTS stick and to connect. But I cannot access a homepage and the connection is lost after a short time.
Could this be due to the fact my UMTS SIM is using anoter net (roaming)?
On my Nexus I have to activate data roaming to gain internet access.
Hey guys! I'm pretty excited about my new phone but one thing that's killing me is the tethering feature. Apparently, it's blocking IPV4 traffic on specific ports.
I thought my 4G ISP was blocking these ports, but when i use my simcard on another phone (Moto Power e7 for this mater), it works normally to connect to a server (It's an AWS server used by Star Citizen).
Do you know a way to "unblock" TCP/UDP ports while using the USB / Wifi tethering from this phone?
Cheers.
