It'll say GB in the filename. Look through the list.

its froyo
10chr

So does this mean the OFFICIAL GB for the SG4g is based on Froyo a kernel?

no the files there is for kb5 then kd1 and the update is the kd1 kernel
the gb source for the t959v for gb is not released the zip file will be called gingerbread

thank you sir!
So...until Samsung releases it...is it possible to extract the source? I know you are working on something....just didn't know what that reallyl meant.
Just seems that octaine/valhala...would be better than the official 2.3.6 which is probably behind anyway compared to your work (and others).

Yeah we'll finally get a standard working ground for all custom roms instead of playing catch up with samsung's rom leaks.

Looks like the GB KJ6 source is released now.

[Q] Difference Between EC10 and EB11??

Okay I just a little knowledgeable about these two and i know they are radios that can be flashed. I am running on EB11 with vodoo 2.2 right now and was thinking of trying ec10 but i have no idea of what the difference is and stuff. I am with cellular south (if that helps) i think eb11 is cellular south maybe?? not sure if thats correct
Ea11, or eb16? If your on ea11 I would up it to ec10...the other 2 are betas... Ec10 is the official release.

Don't just go around flashing whatever you come across, you can do permanent damage to your phone. Read first and make sure that whatever you flash is built for the Showcase or is at least compatible with it.
Forgive me for being a n00b (gotta start somewhere right?), but what is the difference between eb11 and dj20? And how do I know which one to flash?

DJ20 is 2.1, EB11 is 2.2 (for showcase, and these are typical release names; the first two letters signify the month and the numbers are the day it dropped that month) - if you want to know the differences look here; http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.2.html

I'm sure it has. Now if only Samsung will only get their butts in gear and get Android updates released right about when they come out without molesting it.
Why don't you just use EB11?
Edit:
Oh hmmm the EB11 update has been removed. Interesting.

Well, I would like to but found out today that Cell South is supposed to be pushing out Froyo within the next 2 weeks. The biggest complaint that I have about my phone is that the signal strength is very poor. I'm not sure if it's the radio or a driver issue but was hoping that a new ROM would fix that.
The link to download Froyo has been pulled from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970331 So as for right now we're kinda left out in the cold. Again, I new at this so I'm still learning and you guys may have some links to some better stuff anyways.

So I looked into this twitter post and it brings me to this site http://www.att.com/gen/press-room?pid=20407&cdvn=news&newsarticleid=32234&mapcode=mobile-devices it doesn't give a specific date just says sometime this year. Hopefully there right in the twitter post
check here: http://twitter.com/#!/att
I think they try not to stay too far behind rogers. we will certainly see soon though, I'm still not sure I believe it.
I had to check on it myself, I was just in a corp store tonight talking and they didn't have any specifics just that the Infuse was next (since Inspire got its upgrade). I sure would like GB...
Prob another Infuse/Inspire confusion.
In August, HTC Inspire 4G users will be notified that the update is available and can be downloaded when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

It would be great to see the update soon...but they are refering back to ATT's release. So we are in the coming weeks group. It will come when it comes...soon would be nice though.

Art version would help fix some problems though. Like HDMI out that a lot of people seem concerned with. Rogers Infuse can't make use of the HDMI out. Unless the devs figure it out

This is an AOSP ROM with no drivers. This will be good news for the Cyanogen Mod team, but does nothing for current Infuse devs.

depends, it might mean nothing for cyanogenmod for the infuse either. it depends on changes to interfaces for closed source stuff. though linux bozo is damn good and if it can be done im sure he'll do it though im sure he will wait for cm team to make some of there changes first, maybe even wait for an i9000 port first.

Oh i see ,that's sad just have to wait
This is a pre-compiled system. It does nothing for CM, as that is compiled from source. Once ICS source is released (won't be until the release of the Galaxy Nexus) THEN the CM team will have good stuff to play with.
