Now that we know the version is going to be 2.3.4(GRJ22), if LG was a normal company,they would have already updated their webpage with the GB 2.3.4 source and I would be able to compile a fully working ROM from source on a few hours and everybody would be happy running GB on O3D tomm. But no, they can't even do that .

Just got a pm from a guy from O2X saying that the new update is a Froyo named gingerbread. He says that there isn't any improvement at all. Hahahaha, What else to say about LG. Of course I know that both are very similar but I was expecting a boost when real dual core support is enable.

Been reading the optimus X2 thread, users who upgraded their handsets to Gingerbread are reporting that Gtalk video is still not working! is this because this has to do the kernel and the fact LG left the kernel and the baseband the same? This will be very disappointing if they do the same to the O3D which I suspect they will.

2.6 kernel is OK but Linux kernel 3 is out (latest Debian distros are running it) so I'm guessing ics will be running Linux kernel 3, I'm sure that will create extra delays?

no the files there is for kb5 then kd1 and the update is the kd1 kernel
the gb source for the t959v for gb is not released the zip file will be called gingerbread

Just seems that octaine/valhala...would be better than the official 2.3.6 which is probably behind anyway compared to your work (and others).

Yeah we'll finally get a standard working ground for all custom roms instead of playing catch up with samsung's rom leaks.

Its about when you press power buttons..generally you get a options of recovery, download etc...its a edit in smali file..flash it and long press on power button, you will see the options..I have not tried it anyway though...
