ANY 1 HAS PROB WITH INSTALLING CM??
Here is another way to install it
Requirements:-
u should have
XXKQ2 n CWM recory
Extra fetures:-
Gmail
Google talk
Google maps
Google navigation
Google goggles
Samsung keboard
Spare parts +
Music player 4.0
Quick office pro
Updated superuser
Blade buddy
Flash player 10.1
Steps to install cwm recovery
FIRST DOWNLOAD THE CLOCKWORKMOD FROM http://www.multiupload.com/SGBF50UBMA
OPEN ODIN MULTI DOWNLOADER 4.38
SELECT OPS FILE(BENI_v1.0.ops)
SELECT ONE PACKAGE OPTION
SELECT THE DOWNLOADED FILE(GT-S5670-CWM.tar) IN ONE PACKAGE SECTION
RESTART UR DEVICE IN DOWNLOAD MODE
CONNECT USB
CLICK START BUTTON
Than download this CM file :-
http://www.multiupload.com/OBGGR43NK8
1.it is a zip file extract it
2.copy d extract folder in sd card root (not in any folder)
3.than go in recovery mod
4.switch off ur phone n start with middle + power button
5.than select backup n restore
6.than select restore
7.after that wipe cache n factor reset
n
8.reboot
ur done...

Hey bro...is this still buggy or stable?...and why are u guyz..not willing to port CM7 (2.3.7)...u guyz are devs..just port mini's CM7 (2.3.7) to fit like u did with 2.3.4 version... hoping for 2.3.7 soon!!

It will work on kq2 only yet....
N will there for kq5
n will inform
now u alll have prob than just do factor reset n try if not than flash kq2
format in n try n again format (factor reset)

does this work on XWKQ2? I'm using it and Deodexed already. I have some questions, if I flash the clock work mod on my fit with. XWKQ2, will it delete everything in my phone? and what does clockworkmod does really?
and one more thing, does that CyanogenMod 7 that is posted from the first post is a stable release? there's no bugs anymore?

It gets freezed...u need to install titanium backup or similar app to defrost it"..

Hello everyone,
This is a small Tutorial on how to add sound in bootanimation of Cynogen mod......
I hav attached a zip file
1. Extract it u will find 2 files......bootsnd.sh and soundatboot.zip
2.copy d bootsnd.sh to sdcrd.....
3.go to Clockworldmod recovery.....mount system.....then flash the soundatboot.zip
4. reboot then...go to terminal emulater....write commands....
su
cd /sdcard (space after cd)
sh bootsnd.sh
reboot

now u will hear sound at booting.....
u can change d sound by replacing d android_audio.mp3 in system/media (change d desired sound as android_audio.mp3)
then reboot

then make sure you remove/delete that mp3 file.

i already have system root tools... ill just probably have to get the files you've given, coz when i try to use the one on absolute system pro, it gives an error for the preview and i cannot download or install the boot animation...

[toturial] porting roms

well as per my expireince , i will show you how i port roms
things required:
dsixda rom kitchen
linux environment
a base rom (like fitdroid,etc)
to install the kitchen follow this thread :

thanks to dsixda for this wonderfull kitchen..
METHOD:
run the menu file in terminal
you will be greeted by the text menu
put a base rom and the rom you want to port in the original update folder
choose 0 : advanced options
then 19 : porting tools
type 'a'
choose the base rom
then choose the rom you want to port
after all , press 99 : build rom from working folder
test your rom
note :
* don't forget to edit your build.prop in your working folder before uplaoding
*if the camera doesn't work , replace camera modules from /system/lib folder with the ported rom
HOPE IT HELPED.......................

The base rom is the stock rom right and the other rom is the one to be ported right....?

In case you don't want to use Linux as your main OS you can set up a virtual PC and load Ubuntu in that for development of porting purposes
I recommend either use Ubuntu 10.4 of 11.4 Dont use the latest version of Ubuntu I had some issues with it

You can use FiTdroid by vishwanath as base!
galaxy fit + CM7.2 (2.3.7) + 801Mhz

I guess he meant in which format the Roms have to placed in..
I guess it should be .zip

Yes because they are in RFS filesystem they are in .TAR
use FITDROID as base it's fully bug free and everything works as it should

hi i ported beats audio from galaxy mini
patch will made & upload soon..
now open zip file & extract it to a folder in your sdcard
now open every folder & copy it includes into system/that folder
for example copy whats into lib folder to system/lib

Someone test this please.. Can't test this atm

I did exactly what you said but after restarting phone stuck at boot loop thank god I had backup. Please provide flashable zip.

I had ported and tried this before itself.. It works!
