Froyo plays well with others!!!

I flashed froyo on top of an already set up 1.6 and 2.1 rom's (seperately) and well it went well. booted right up. still had all my apps. whole point of this...I dunno its fun. I got to play with some of my apps. no Google apps carried over. super user was also gone. root explorer wouldnt
open. I was going to install su so I could oc. but root explorer was fc. most of my apps opened and functioned properly, except for no data connection. but I was able to call my boss and hang up on her. maybe a developer can do something with this info. this was sent after restoring back from froyo

Wow, FroYo can call AND HANG UP ON PEOPLE?! I must flash it at once.

yeah you would think that function would have been available in 2.1 and lower. I still don't think the iphone has that. they have to talk to everyone they call.

Sounds to me like you'll be selling that iPohne, and using that free-service SIM in your N1 AT&T

so how well does flash work on the G1?

yeah, i "found" a build of froyo numbered 13, and minus the wifi, bluetooth, camera, root, live wallpapers its a nice quick app! all the stuff i said is not working in this build, but it appears the makers are working on that stuff at an alarming pace, and later this week it will be going in full swing. Yes, in this version, Gapps works

kingfroyo can you post the verison of it for everyone to test?

What iPhone does have is the ability to drop calls and call distortion. It's something that most android phones will never experience...

I flashed the jmod Froyo and couldn't get it to recognize the sd card or establish a data connection. If you have one that does all that, apps, google apps AND hangs up on ppl I would love to have a link to dl it. Thanks!

Because Android Phones aren't good enough to be a piece of crap. Makes me sad. =[

keep in mind, its still being updated by a certain few people as we speak, and will continue being updated until they feel that its ready for public consumption, but here's a link to the pre release tester they're fixing up:

I'm downloading it now. Once it's done I'm going to make a backup and flash it. That brick comment has me a bit worried though...

Lol its all good i flashed after wiping, and NO BRICK haha he has GApps working but there are still a lot of bugs but TONS of progress since the first SDK port.

booted right up for me did a full wipe!!! apps open up pretty fast overall smooth one thing had like 7mb of memory .. i timed 1:56 boot !!!

didnt work for me at all, i went to flash it, and it said error, bad
edit: my bad, flashed something else.

No recovery and everything is done via ODIN. I use to have a Behold II and this guy makes awesome roms. We need to get him off T-Mobile and moved on over to Sprint ha ha.

The apk doesn't work for me. If someone wants to be daring enough to try the flashable zip and report back that would be awesome!

I got the same thing for whatever reason...so I pushed the files in the zip myself and did permissions, etc. and it still doesn't work. Seems like the apk or lib needs to be modded to work with our hardware.

I have a installable apk of it from my wife's mt4g BUT It don't work smh. I love that wallpaper I want it baaadddd ill open it up n see what I can do when I get to a comp.

i got a working one but im not sure if it works for the g2x. it worked on a mytouch 4g and a galaxy s 4g. i posted it up on here already so go check it out and let me know if it works. thanks

How should it be installed? Like a normal app?
EDIT: I just tried to install it like normal and it gets stuck on "Loading live wallpaper..." as with previous versions. It probably has something to do with Tegra drivers -- the APK will need to be modified.

i just installed it using astro file manager. but u can try this one and see if it works. it said it was pulled from the sgs2

Wouldn't even install for me. And if it did I doubt it would work. Again, I think the wallpaper just doesn't support the Tegra 2.

Ok this first link says waiting to load or loading wallpaper but if u just hit set wallpaper u get the red nexus live wallpaper black background and red lines traveling thru (red nexus). And ur other link says parsed download, it will not work

Yeah that's what happened to me also. When it can't set the wallpaper it defaults to the nexus one or to your last wallpaper I think. And the other one couldn't be parsed for me either.

[Q] No ICS love for Rogers users?

I jumped for joy earlier today when i hopped right onto XDA to do my usual look around the forums for the skyrocket. And right infront of me were the words "ICS for SKYROCKET"
I quickly Downloaded the file and went on my way to wait for my phone to be brought back to me...only to figure out that Rogers users were left out in all this fun and joy
To my understanding, hardware is all the same...
What could possibly be done?
Is it best we wait for a work around or have someone create a custom ROM.
(Sorry guys, im new to this whole kernel/rom/rooting thing )

I think we just gotta stick together and wait it out for silver to get his ICS CWM flashable zip working.
Once that happens... do I need to say it?

How are you liking it so far?

I love it so far. I had to do a factory data reset but after that it works flawlessly. The only thing that doesn't want to work is google wallet

Firmware check wont pass

Check the development forum. There's one rooted ROM for ICS posted that may be worth trying and another one upcoming.

None work. They all have the most ridiculous lag and everything FCs. Takes like 5 mins to click something. I've flashed em all. The only one that boots up nice is the one in the t989 forum but nothing works (no data etc) so we dont have it

It's more than bearable. Very smooth, the bugs that it has seem to be in line with the bugs in the AT&T Odin install. Can't confirm LTE as I don't have it in my area yet.

Phone stays off

My phone is not turning on at all. Was testing aroma installer and forgot to change the script. It changed some permissions that I dont really know.. I followed a guide on how to put Aroma into a ROM here and again i forgot to change scripts. Now each time i try to reboot its not vibrating and/or going to the splash screen. I am also trying to go into recovery and it is not working. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Try charging overnight. If that doesn't work, then there is a possibility of a hard brick. The flash probably messed with the mounts (messed up my previous one :/) . I could be totally wrong though. I just sent it back to T-Mobile and for $20 got a new one.

Ugh. I'm stupid. I tried download mode and it worked.. Eh. New replacement phone coming soon, as said by T-Mobile.. I'll just use that one because this phone is all scratched up lol..
