Although the procedure you used reported that it worked, the goldcard is not a valid one. That is why you are getting the CID incorrect message.
I would try recreating it using this procedure:

Still doesnt work, Is there way to do it via s-off or rooted?

I would try that procedure again with another SD card. You need to make sure it is at least a 2GB SD card.

oh i treid with a 1gb card, i onlky have a 16gb car which is my main one so can i remove goldcard from it?

can i get an s-off and do it?

Making your SD card into a goldcard does not render it useless at all. In fact it doesn't even bother the data that you have on it.
The procedure of using the adb commands should work just fine. There is no need to S-OFF just to create the goldcard.

Search for Simple Goldcard Tool. You can easily create GoldCard with this little software. You don't have to use cmd prompt and complicated commands. Desire S using MMC2 and that software supports it. You don't have to S-OFF and root for installing RUU.
1) Format SD card as Fat32
2) Install HTC Sync Drivers. (available at htc.com)
3)Connect Your phone to PC. USB Debugging must on and usb connection type: Only Charging.)
4) Open SimpleGoldCard Tool as a admin
and follow procedure step by step at SimpleGoldcard tool.
I installed new 2.401.8 RUU after made goldcard with that tool.

Look In the index thread (see my Sig) in that there it's a link to a working gold card thread

[SOLVED]Can't flash radio. FAILED remote not allowed (with S-OFF)

I'm unable to change my radio. I was able to flash it once and it worked fine im currently on radio 06.04.06. Ive tried to flash 3 different radios. I've read up on possible solutions but all of them say you need to have S-Off. Well i have S-off and im still getting the error. Any Solutions here? Ive tried to push thru adb or flash it on my SD via Fastboot. i can boot into recovery CW fine and flash roms and kernels.
I'm not an expert, but go into your bootloader (not recovery) and make sure it says "eng s-off" at the top.
If it is, put the zip file on the root of your SD card and make sure it is named PD98IMG.zip
That is what works for me.

You need Engineering S-OFF to flash a radio. There are only a couple steps to attain it.
Skip down to Gaining Engineering S-OFF:

Error after Alpharevx and original RUU

I have a problem and hope you can help me.
I've made my device via AlpharevX S-Off. Then I flashed a custom ROM. But I had previously made a backup of my old original ROM by CLokworkMod.
But by then I played an original RUU ROM about the CUSTOM ROM. Now appears only the HTC characters on a white background and I'm just still in the boot loader.
But I'm not even in the recovery menu.
Can you help me?
Is it possible to start S-off with AlpharevX when the phone does not start, but in the bootloader or fastboot?
Can I suggest that you Post this problem into One of the existing akpharevx threads as that way one of the original developers might assist you

Did you remember to wipe before you "played" the original? If you can get into recovery, wipe everything and do a fresh flash. If you cant get into recovery you will need to RUU.
I didn't wipe before i flash the original RUU...and i can not get into recovery mode.
How can i RUU without starting the telephone?
Put your RUU on your Windows desktop. Type %temp% and run. In the files that pop up look for Rom.zip, rename it PB99IMG.zip put it in the root of your gold SD card if it needs to be a gold card, and boot your phone into hboot. When asked to update press y.

I tried it but the mobile freezes after seleting yes. Furthermore it says "hboot can not roll back"...
ask the alpharev guys what to do. they set the hboot version very high to prevent accidental overwriting. unfortunatley they seem to forget to release a downgrate hboot so the whole thing would be reversible. until they do, you a bit in a puddle.
Or try a pre-rooted RUU. This will not try and over write Hboot.

Your best bet is to look on XDA in the Dev's section. I can't look for you as it depends on you version number, carrier etc.

Seems to sum up where you are at currently.....so do whats been advised in the posts above (perhaps post both of these latest posts into the other AlphaRevx threads) and wait for the AlpharevX team to respond. I believe that they are meant to be working on a way to reverse the AlpharevX process, so should be able to help or at least inform you of your options.
I'm not condoning multiple posting, but, as the desire S was one of the last devices to achieve success you may have more success contacting them by posting in the existing Incredible S AlphaRevX thread - which see's far more activity.

Help with HTC Desire S (bricked)

OK, need a bit of help with a Desire S that can only get to HBOOT screen (vol down + power) otherwise it's just a white HTC screen.
Phone is S-ON. HBOOT 0.98.002.
I've tried Revolutionary.io's guide to convert to S-OFF but I just get 'Waiting for Device'. Tried uninstalling HTC drivers then installing again without luck, disabling firewall and AV, still no luck. Kinda given up on that front.
Trying 'fastboot devices', device is recognised, but if I try to flash a recovery ROM from fastboot I get an 'out of memory' error.
I don't know if USB debugging is enabled or not (how can I tell & enable from HBOOT if not)?
I thought about going via HTCDEV and their method, but my HBOOT is at the wrong version (can I upgrade it to V 2.000.2?)
I'm really running out of options now....anything else I can try??? HELPPPP!
Run htc ruu exe file and don't close the windows, find rom.zip in windows temp folder, rename it to PG88IMG.zip ale copy to sdcard. Turn on your phone in hboot mode, rom will be flashed automaticaly.
Or just go to fastboot mode in hboot and then run RUU, should work if you have bootloader locker (relocked).

sorry, but I'm really not getting this. I'm looking for a RUU to flash a recovery ROM. When I went to HTC dev, there were all the ROMs for all the different carriers. I don't know what mine is. I tried downloading one for Vodafone, unzipped and searched for RUU.exe but there isn't one.
I need to get to this RUU.exe but dont know how.:crying:
what is a recovery ROM? anyway, people over here at the DS forum has already extracted the radio, Hboot and ROM of official ICS. search around...

I had a bit of progress. I downloaded the latest 4.0 RUU util from HTC Dev, ran it, extracted the ROM.zip and renamed it to PG88IMG.zip, copied it up to the SD card, rebooted the phone into FASTBOOT and the phone recognised it and started installing.
Wahey, I thought, that's it I've cracked it, but then it gets stuck on Updating the bootloader. Stuck for nearly an hour. Tried twice and different SD cards...same thing.
Is this because I'm still S-ON and bootloader is locked, or do you think my internal memory is fried?

Absolutely irrelevant. He's not flashing anything himself, he's executing RUU which can flash everything.
OK, so how do I enable USB debugging if I can only get into HBOOT? Is there a FASTboot or ADB command that can do it? I think that's what's stopping Revolutionary.

The command "sudo ./soju" didn't work. I used openSuSE 13.1 (64bit, don't have 32bit hardware any more), installed and as live CD, but it tolds me either "soju command not found" or "permission denied".

HTC One A9 AT&T unable to flash RUU to upgrade to Android Nougat.

I'm having a bit of trouble following the instructions to flash the one A9 to the 2.xxxx firmware, so that I can upgrade to Android 7. I have unlocked the bootloader, changed the cid to 11111111 and have S-Off, but when I try to flash the firmware, I get an error in cmd that says that the file is too large to download. rename the ruu to 2PQ9IMG.zip and place it on the root of your SD-card. Then reboot to downloadmode and follow instructions. Should fix your problem.

Okay, I have to get a new SD card, because the one I had before only worked with Samsung phones. My One A9 just says the sd card is corrupted.
I suggest using the correct cid also...
Which CID should I use?
The cid for us developer/unlocked device
Okay, managed to change the CID to the us unlocked variant. Now just need to get a new SD card.

The error about file being to large is probably only because you're not using htc_fastboot.exe to flash the firmware but instead the regular fastboot.exe from the android sdk... Might want to try that before purchasing a new sdcard.
managed to find the htc_fastboot.exe, but when I ran the cmd again, I got an error. It said error unknown when trying to flash the 2PQ9IMG.zip.
How do you flash to the 2.xxx
