Recommend me a working fax app... - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

So, anyone know one that works, and have first hand experience with it being reliable?
I don't mind having to pay a recurring fee for a service if necessary, the need arises for a work issue - anyone know of one that works?

Ive used Visual Voicemail Plus, its free for 30 days. See if you like it works for me

Thanks guys, i'll give these both a whirl.
A lot of the fax apps have problems with not actually sending, or the fax machine never receives it.
This will be for my time-sheets at work, so my pay is directly affected by the fax not making it in on time, and 24 hours can mean my pay gets tied up for several paychecks.
Any issues with non-received faxes that you know of?

Okay, update:
Got a trial account with www.myfax.com
After checking out my options and spending some time reading up on it this morning, seemed like the best move. I appreciate the two posters above giving me something to chew on that led to this.
Tried them out, sent faxes from my email to a couple local copy shops. All printed in a timely fashion, so seems like it's pretty decent. I'll keep using my free trial to put it to the test, but if it keeps working this well i'll be switching to a paid subscription probably before the trial is over.
The minimum plan they offer on a yearly basis will save me a little more then half the money I spend on sending faxes a year, so that's pretty awesome.
Now the hunt is on for a good scanner app to get the document into the phone and fax ready.
I've been tinkering with Scan-to-PDF that I bought a while ago in the google market, but it's just not up to snuff for this task. I'm looking for something that'll do full page scans and not make it look like a picture from a phone when it prints out on the fax machine I send it to.
To that end, Droid Scan Pro PDF looks like the most promising candidate for an app to scan into PDF format, i'll pick it up later in the week or early next ... whenever I dump another gift card into the app market.
Meantime, if anyone knows anything about that app, good bad or indifferent, i'd love to hear it.

Camscanner is an amazing pdf creator. Free in the market.

Camscanner is pretty cool, but haven't had the chance to play with it much - had a lot on my plate recently.
I also got the app I mentioned in my last post, but haven't had the chance to use it yet.
Sometime in the next week i'll post a review of how they work out. My next scheduled shift is on the 28th, so sometime not long after that i'll have to fax a time card in.

TIP: Review your wireless bill

I'm not sure if this has been discussed (if it has and it's been buried, it's probably about time we discuss this again).
I'm looking around the AT&T bloatware (which I'm hoping to remove soon) and touched the Where (W) app. The Terms of Service (TOS) pops up. Some of us will just touch OK right away. Some of us will read. On my first Cap, I just touched OK and quickly saw what Where was about. Didn't like it. Never used it again. I returned my device due to GPS and Power issues and got my replacement Cap. I launched Where again while playing around and this time I read the TOS. In red, it says that if I continue to use this service and if I don't cancel within 7 days, I will be charged $2.99 per month. It also gives me a website to review all of my mobile app subscriptions. I checked out the site and found 3 subscriptions of $2.99, $2.99 and $4.99 per month that I have been paying. I don't remember at all how they got there. They were services I have never even heard of which I don't use.
Review your bill! On AT&T online billing, click "View Full Bill". Scroll to the bottom of the page under "Mobile Purchases & Downloads". See if you've been subscribed to something you didn't even know about.
Addendum: Call or Chat with an agent and have them install their Free "Subscription Block" to your account. It prevents any fee-based monthly services from automatically activating without your knowledge. You will be given a code when AT&T puts this block in effect. When you decide to download an App that requires a purchase or sign up with a fee-based service, you can then use that code to make the purchase.
My bill day is 8/21 and here it is 5 days later... i still can't view the actual charges online. wish i could
I think it's to be expected by now to be charged a monthly fee if you plan on using any of AT&T's bloatware. Personally, I refuse to even open any of their programs for fear of having random charges on my bill. Just avoid them until you get them uninstalled.
From a business perspective it makes absolute sense why they do this. The general population has no idea of the free alternatives. These same people won't notice or care to check out their monthly bill's when an extra 2.99 is tacked on every month. I bet AT&T makes a killing off this stuff.
I agree, when I sold phones they offered a ton of free stuff, as in free for one month and then you started getting charged a couple bucks.
I was nice enough to tell the people to call and cancel the services if they didn't want them but most reps didn't even mention it.

Couldn't find what you're pointing to here. The Mobile Purchases and Downloads part.
You're probably fine then. I guess if you haven't (knowingly or unknowingly) made an online purchase or download, then maybe it doesn't show up. You're probably ok.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I did click on the Where app once though, so I was curious. Hopefully nothing went through. That last part about the confirmation code to prevent auto subs though is a good idea.

When did you launch the Where app? It probably won't show until a few days later. If you have successfully launched it it's guaranteed that you will be charged $2.99 per month if you don't have the purchase block feature and if you haven't canceled within the 7 days grace period. Just look out for it in a few days.
This was a couple weeks ago. I think it was even before I got my monthly bill. Hopefully I'm set and don't have to worry about it.
Also, I tried the last part in your original post about talking to a live rep and having someone put that auto-subscription block on the account.. the rep never even heard of it and directed me to call customer service instead.
Hmm
I stupidly clicked on Where. Now how do I cancel it?
Thanks for the heads up. I found 2 charges on my bill for them called att up and had them cancel it as I couldn't find where on my account I could cancel them. I also added the block to my line as I already had it on my daughters line.
Funny thing is that I work for verizonwireless and know all about this and see it every day but I fell victim to it. They credited me back for the charges which I wasn't expecting at all.
Glad I can help.

Call your agent and ask about the Mobile Purchases and Downloads. They should know about this. Not all agents know, as we have read so far. But mine was able to refund and put a block. I had I'm a happy camper!

[Q] Paypal Issues

Is anyone else having problems with Paypal being slow in transferring money from a bank account? I just checked my account and it shows that money has indeed been transferred to my paypal account, however, when I log onto paypal, it shows that the money is still being processed. I made a commitment to donate money to Myn for the use of his roms on the 23rd (today) which happened to be the date paypal indicated that the funds I transferred would be available. Now it is showing the 24th and I am pissed about it. Has anyone had or is having a similar experience?
You get different transfer times with different banks. Also, we are getting into that part of the year where everything is going to be a little slower than normal. Just be patient, it will be there.

Makes sense to me. I dislike it a lot when things don't go as expected. Ya know? Anyway, thank you for your reply and I hope you and your family have an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to you also man. I hate waiting on things myself but at least with paypal you know it will end well. Have a good one
i have no transaction problems with my paypal account. my only concern is how quick it change its rates.
Finally, my paypal account was updated and I was able to make the promised donation. Thanks to all who replied. Happy Thanksgiving.

Sending information.

First of sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
I'm on holiday at the moment and I wont be going home for about 6 months and so far I have got about 5gb of photos. I would like to email these photos or send these photos home (other side of the world 15000 kilometers away). My hotmail lacks the capacity to send such large amounts of information, so I'm just wondering what would be the best way? I'd prefer internet based but if worst comes ill just have to send a few disks home.
Maybe another email provider will allow so much data to be sent? Or any other ideas would be welcomed.
Thanks
Edit: just noticed this should be in the Q+A section. But I dont think I can move it myself. Sorry.

There are a few things I can suggest to do this.
The first is to obviously copy everything onto a DVD and mail it. Next, you can try to use an online file hosting website. You can upload all your pics there, and tell someone at home to go download them for you. However, many of those sites have a limit on how much you can upload with a free account. Try like rapidshare, and such. The best possible way in my honest opinion is to get an online backup service. Yeah, it costs money, but they are pretty damn reliable. Check out Mozy. They have 50gb of space for 5.99$ a month. You can keep it or use it for a month, then cancel.
Good luck boss!

Just wanted to warn people about Odesk.com

I needed an Android app designed and I've no idea how to do it myself. I've used websites before to get other work done, such as website help I was stuck on. I decided to give Odesk.com a try. It's a website where I post a job, people bid on the job.
What a scam / rip-off!
I have a decent idea for an app, which I don't see out there currently. There is another device that can do what my app would do, but this is a piece of hardware for $20, when I could design the app and sell it for 99 cents.
So, I posted my job and hired someone in India. He assured me he could do what I needed. We communicated on what I wanted and I accepted his bid. My app is something small and simple, so I don't think a lot of work is required, hence the low price I was hoping to get the work done for.
I was required to pay 20% in advance, which wasn't that much, so I did it.. less than $30. I figured that was a good deal. I pay a few bucks up front to show I am serious. Another website holds the money in escrow. Not this website.
About a week or a week and a half go by and I ask the guy how things are coming along. I had given my project a deadline to be finished by next month. No answer from the person, but a few days later he replies that my app is all done, here you go, job marked as finished.
First off, how the hell can someone just mark a job as completed just because some other guy says it is? What about me? I don't get a say on whether it's completed or not?
I was surprised he finished it. I was thinking it would be something I could alpha or beta test. If things went well I would provide a splash screen he could insert in the beginning. But to my surprise it booted up with a name and a logo already.
He STOLE the software from another website! Just typing the name of the app in the web pulls up their website. The app doesn't even do what I want. Sure, it has similar elements, but it doesn't do what I want. All he did was rename their APK to my name.
The seller will not respond and Odesk not will refund my money. They warn you to not make a pre payment of any amount, yet they allow people to request a pre payment and their system allows you to pay, even though no work was finished.
I have an investigation going on with Odesk. If they spend two seconds they'd see that the guy stole the software and could refund my money. That could take awhile, so I went ahead and filed a claim with my credit card company, lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Anyway, I thought I'd warn people not to use this site. I've used freelancer.com before, previously vworker.com, previously rentacoder.com with no issues, but since they switched to freelancer.com I think their rates went up is why I don't use them and am looking for another place.
If anyone knows a place to get an app designed for a fair price (not game), lemme know.

Got an email to promote my app

Hello,
I'm new into app development.I have a few apps and i get around 100 downloads on all my apps daily ,and yesterday i received an email from a company that does ASO ,and a few more things a forgot what they said.
I also had a Skype call with them ,they are offering me to promote my app ,to translate it to more languages etc..
They claim that my downloads will raise ,and that my revenue will be bigger.
I don't know 100$ is kind of lot's of money to pay, also they told me that they have a money back guaranty. But I don't know what to think to be honest.Should i go for it?
Seems a bit fishy...
How can you be sure you would be able to get any money back if you aren't satisfied?

Just tried to get installs for my app. Spent $10 to advertise my app using cpidroid.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alsudfa.farmdefenderfree
Looks like I got 50+ downloads because of it. Results are delayed due to Google console. I uploaded my app to amazon as well as a place called app mania. I've gotten 200+ downloads just by using keywords in my app name.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.infoscript.whenpigsfly
example of that. I spent $10 and I haven't received a review or rating. Ad mob earnings resulted in $0.32. I don't think the campaign is over yet, but it's looking like it. I hear 90% of your earnings will come from your top 10% of users. I don't think purchasing installs is the way to go.
I am hoping to learn of ways to get installs.
