I want to restore a backup after i played with some ROMS, but WP7C is giving me Error 8000ffff

does anyone know how to force a restore on mac?
or how to restore the "Data.xx.dat" with Zune, as the mac does not create the accompanying hash files

Well if you've been playing with ROMs, it's most likely because the ROM on the backup is different than on the phone and they aren't compatible. I think this is why custom ROMs don't have cab updateability, of which backups are cabs. As far as I know, there isn't a solution =/

Hi,
I have this phone for 2 weeks and have stop using it after 3 days. I am getting device.exe error 20-30 times a day and have to reset it 5 to 6 times a day.
I think there is somethng to do with the sim card slot, I have try 3 different sim cards ( one vodafone and two 3 mobile), the phone function is on for coupe of minutes and off and start searching for sim card.
Does anyone here has the same problem? or I am the only unlucky one?

i ve got a similar problem with device.exe (sometimes with tmail.exe) it tries to report the problem.
It's totaly random, and somtimes freezes up.

I have the same problem.
My Omnia has problems for register the sim card.
I recive device.exe errors when i restart the phone. If it can register the sim, it works properly only until I turn on the gps, or wifi, etc...
If it cannot register the sim, i have to restart it many times...

My error apears in all of them. That´s just for I supose that I have a hardware problem.
The latest I tried is DXIA2, and just now I´m trying to downgrade to XJHJ2 (the latest official in my country (Spain)).

Samsung Updater says that my version is incorrect.

please note, if your coming from another ROM I suggest you wipe.
I was using jerpelea's port of cyanogens rom and when I installed the rom this way I couldn't get wifi to work.
After a full wipe it was all fine.
Jerpelea's port of the rom uses (or used, I haven't checked lately) an old kernel, which meant compcache didn't work.
He has also added ringtones and changed some other things.
Personally I like to have it installed the way cyanogen intended it.

you dont sign the boot.img, you need to sign the update.zip
Yes i know that and i sign it. But when trying to flash i get wrong digest boot.img. boot.img works and my signing works with other roms. This is my pain

Just uploaded a new version of the update and boot.img.
The only changes are that I used the init.sapphire.rc from a sapphire build (one minor change with relation to a debugging hotkey that hardly anyone would use or even know about)
And I have found one of the sapphire keymaps that it was complaining about in logcat and installed it.
If you have the existing one there is no need to reflash in my opinion.
The changes are very minor. Just wait for the next version.
If anyone spots anymore errors popping up in the log with relation to sapphire difference post them up and I will see if I can work out

Seems not to be able to sync calendar? What do be done? (gmail & contacts no problem with syncing)

Is bluetooth audio working with this rom?
Gmail calendar syncing ok here (both ways, phone to gmail, gmail to phone)
It does take around 10 seconds or so.
Gsensor working fine. Search the forums. There are a couple of files to delete if the sensors don't work, or wipe the device.
from a search - "If g-sensor still does not work, remove /data/misc/akmd* /data/misc/rild* in recovery mode."
Contacts also syncing fine for me.
Just tested bluetooth from another phone and they can see each other and pair up.

Yup, My Nokia bh 503 stereo headset working perfectly. Seems like a real snappy rom. I'm fed up flashing ****ty hero roms that look pretty but god help you if you actually want to do something..

My rom includes Titanium Weather v3.1.3, I set locaton :ASI|CN|CH004|XIAMEN,
when I updated weather will display a error:

That´s right, just disable windows default install mortscript and re enable windows default and run an update

Hi all! I'm having a problem cooking my rom (for huawei u8150 ideos).
For an unknown reason, automatic time/date (NITZ) stops working with the cooked rom ... instead the original rom by huawei updates time well...
Do anyone knows how to fix that issue? is a permissions issue due to deodexing/zipaligning?
The settings panel is correctly writing "true" for the automatic time value. in /data......
I know that ClockSync is available, and works well, but I don't want to introduce bugs in my rom

I have strange error with latest OTA upgrade to ICS.
When I've installed it I see that I've problem with telephon line.. Every time I boot I haven't line.
I check in nv.log and I see that I have that error when I boot:

Every time I've have to change manually from 2g-3g or viceversa to start gsm line and make my NS connect to telephon line.
I've tried delete nv files, restored /efs folder.. but I still have that error.
But that error happens only on ICS, I tried to undergrade to GB (stock and CM version) and problem disappeared, never have it again.. But when I try to install ICS I have the same stupid problem. Now I'm with GB and works like a charm..
I also found that some others users have that problem..
What can I do to correct it? What does it depend? Maybe some bugs of ICS?
