dear friends
I purchased a new Spice MI350 which is also known as CSL Mi350 or Viewsonic V350 or Muchtel A2 . These all are different variants of the same device.
Now i want to root this phone as there is lots of potential in this phone. i fail to get usb drivers installed on window 7.
I got drivers which has extension as .inf but these files are failed to insalled and i am stuck thereon.
I request all the ppl on the board to help me and other ppl who are having the same phone.
any help is appreciated.
I tried z4root and gingerbreak but unsuccessful .
I tried to get superonelclick 1.7 ( as i got from some of the ppl saying that it is successful in v350) but since i dont have usb driver i am unable to do so.
Regards
Ankjain
install the driver that you can find into the v350 after plugged in your pc.
than set rageagainstthecage in superoneclick 1.7 and push on ROOT.

Hi All,
I tried to root my dell venue using the mentioned steps in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922850 and all I kept seeing on Superoneclick was "Waiting for Device....."
What should I do now..... the device is connecting in all other ways to the PC.
I can use Dell sync and I can use the USB mode to transfer data.
What settings should I put on the phone?
Should I use USB Debugging? I have even tried with that maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Should I keep the USB Data connected?
Looking forward to your valuable inputs.
Thanks in advance for the help.
1. did you check unknown sources?
2. did you install .netfx40? ( I think it must be installed..not sure)
็ำHello, I am not sure whether you got a way to root your dell or not. But hey! I got the same problem, and now I can root my Dell Venue with Froyo 2.2. Maybe this one will help you.
I use super one click. And this is what people having problem
if you use super one click new version which is 1.8 it will not work, and stuck at waiting for device. Then it told me I use 2.2 version which is not work
But I tried it with the older version 1.5 and now it worked.
Before I tried that I also tried
z4root ---> this one hang, the application quit by itself
universal androot ----> this one said it will work with 2.2 but it fail to do so
easy root ----> it said my device doesn't support
what I did was
1. download dell venue driver (search on google or here you will find it)
2. plug dell with usb
3. install the driver
4. run super one click 1.5 and wait
5. the program run in a loop twice (where it said if you see it is looping you need to close the software)
6. my device now root and see the super user icon
when you run super one click, please wait and be patient. It took a while at the end of program, and it seems to loop but it won't take that long.
And I hope for who you cannot root your dell venue, this might help you
hi... can you please upload the version of superoneclick you used to root your phone... i tried 1.5.5 but it does not work...
Since kyocera does not have usb drivers for the kyocera rise phone on public mobile's network, I'll describe a workaround to getting your phone rooted anyway.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18: http://uploaded.net/file/0fpyh5c5
and
PdaNet+ installer for windows: http://junefabrics.com/android/download.php
----
When you install pdanet, they will ask you if you want to replace the current usb drivers, if any are detected. if you choose to do so (which is needed in this case), they will ask you which drivers to install. choose "other", and then go to your device manager, and update the "Kyocera USB Modem" device. it will install the new drivers, and you will be able to root after that. Just make sure you're not running pdanet or using your phone in mass storage mode because adb won't see your phone when you try to root.
will this work for other kyocera phones? or just the rise? i was thinking about getting a kyocera hydro edge or hydro xtrm. i've tried in the past to find info about drivers etc for kyocera phones but there doesn't seem to be a lot out there for this brand.

I am sorry for the late reply, I don't know about other phones but I assume that if they worked for the rise then it could work with yours. If "adb devices" shows the phone's connected then you're good to go

Hey guys.. New around the xda forums but not to the Android world.
Coming to the point, Here are the problems i'm facing with my Micromax A110 (Factory version: Andoid Jellybean - 4.1.1)
Everything that i tried so far:
(I have the ADB Interface and the micromax factory drivers in this step)
1. I installed on the Micromax Drivers provided itself by the phone.. the 64bit one as i have Windows Ultimate x64. Now the problem starts when i use the Su Recovery Tool by Bin4ry (or whatever his name is). Everything goes normal..i went by the instructions i.e Usb debug on ---> Media Device. Then on the tool i pressed 1 i.e The normal option and then carry the on screen instructions. It does come to the restore my data part and reboots. Now.. during the reboot, I get a windows update prompt which installs the MT65xx Preloader Drivers. However, the phone does not restart and so as well the drivers as it says device unplugged and then.. poof! Nothing happens.. I have to Remove the battery, restart manually and the program says.. Unable to copy files..Are you root?.. -_- Dafuq?
2. Now i used the famous SP FLASH tool.. but no luck again.. I tried to flash CWM Recovery through it.. but the application has its own problems.. either error 3013 (SOC VERIFICATION FAIL) or again.. the MT65xx driver not found.. AGAIN. -_-" I once also got the 1013 error
I did try disabling the driver enforcement signing but it was of no use (Obviously)
Your help will be appreciated (Thanks option ofcourse). Looking forward to your Reply

P.S - I dealt with the Mt65xx driver problem, but still.. the Su Bin4ry file cannot flash anything onto the phone (error protocol (status))

If You have an MTK Chipset Try MTK Droid Tools..... Just download, open and click root button......
If you don't have an mtk chipset you can use framaroot app.... just google it and install on your device and click any exploits...after that reboot your tab and your tab would be rooted..

I rooted my phone with framaroot , worked like a charm but on the tablet the message I get is (check vulnerabilities your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in framaroot) not sure what mtk chipset is but I did download mtk droid tools and either I don't know how to work it, or there's no root tool in the 3 folders that came with the download
Using framaroot ver 1.6.0 by the way
Thanks

open mtk droid tools .exe file and connect your device to pc with usb debugging on..... when you will connect your device will get detected . if it doesn't then your device is not having an mtk processor..... if it gets detected just click on root button.... you can also try unlock root....
Hello XDA member
I have a touchlet xa100 tablet running Android 4.4.2 and want to root it, but Towelroot said "device not supported" and I cant use a pc because i have no adb driver for it. After searching, I tried a guide to modify the google usb driver, but that didnt work either.
My computer is running Windows7 x64 and other devices (Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Sony Xperia M C1905) are detected by adb decives.
I hope you can point me to the right point.

I didn't find any report of workign root for your device on xda.
But you can try the most popular and generic rootng methods:
How to Root Any Device
How To Root Any Android Device
[TOOL] Rootx 2.2 (Rev 3 )- Root almost all android devices
[UNIVERSAL GUIDE] Root Any Android Device Manually !
Root any Android device (without pc n in one click)
[ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices
...
BTW, on some devices, TowelRoot only works on an older firmware/kernel version. So if nothing else works and you know how to downgrade to an older firmware version, you might try TowelRoot again.
Good luck !
After trieng all those methods, i got superuser installed but root not useable, SuperSU cant uninstall/update the su binary, so i gave up.
From fun and trieng to find out if i could use fastboot i typed adb reboot bootloader, 10 seconds after the tablet gave up and isnt booting any more. Its stuck in the kernel splash Image.
Its detected by my pc as "Samsung Android Phone" but not by adb.
You know a trick to revive it from the death (except JTAG) or do i have a new paperweight?
I dont know if it has a recovery, but even if it has one, how can i get there? It has only 2 Buttons, Power and Back, and if i press those 2 together, the kernel splash Image appears.

Oh no ... sorry to hear that.
You can ask in the General discussion > Questions and Answers forum.
Hopefully someone knows a "trick" :fingers-crossed:
