Hello XDA member
I have a touchlet xa100 tablet running Android 4.4.2 and want to root it, but Towelroot said "device not supported" and I cant use a pc because i have no adb driver for it. After searching, I tried a guide to modify the google usb driver, but that didnt work either.
My computer is running Windows7 x64 and other devices (Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Sony Xperia M C1905) are detected by adb decives.
I hope you can point me to the right point.

I didn't find any report of workign root for your device on xda.
But you can try the most popular and generic rootng methods:
How to Root Any Device
How To Root Any Android Device
[TOOL] Rootx 2.2 (Rev 3 )- Root almost all android devices
[UNIVERSAL GUIDE] Root Any Android Device Manually !
Root any Android device (without pc n in one click)
[ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices
...
BTW, on some devices, TowelRoot only works on an older firmware/kernel version. So if nothing else works and you know how to downgrade to an older firmware version, you might try TowelRoot again.
Good luck !
After trieng all those methods, i got superuser installed but root not useable, SuperSU cant uninstall/update the su binary, so i gave up.
From fun and trieng to find out if i could use fastboot i typed adb reboot bootloader, 10 seconds after the tablet gave up and isnt booting any more. Its stuck in the kernel splash Image.
Its detected by my pc as "Samsung Android Phone" but not by adb.
You know a trick to revive it from the death (except JTAG) or do i have a new paperweight?
I dont know if it has a recovery, but even if it has one, how can i get there? It has only 2 Buttons, Power and Back, and if i press those 2 together, the kernel splash Image appears.

Hi all,
I've had to root my HTC One S for school recently (yes, really), but now I can't install the update that's been released.
When I start the update my phone reboots and enters Clockwork..
I've been trying to unroot my phone, but there's a lot of (different) information out there, and I can't seem to put my finger on it.
For starters, I have no idea what RUU is and I have no idea which stock img I need, since their are more than 20 of them out there..
Can somebody please guide me through?
Thanks!
Tom
Edit: I can't seem to get a Android 1.0 USB driver working.. If I type adb devices it lists no devices.. I've tried like 5 different drivers but none are working.
Edit: My normal USB driver is working. ADB devices returns my device, but when I try to flash the recovery in normal mode, it just says 'waiting for device'.
Ok so I finally found a way to root this b***h the LG L80. I've had 3 Androids before - Sony and two LG's, rooted them no problem, but this one is just ridicilously hard to root... So I found yet another way the ioroot method, but again I'm encountering some problems, this time it goes like this... I installed all the latest drivers and all, latest SDK and ADB, and everything's fine, the adb shell works and all, but when I put it in recovery mode and choose Apply update from ADB my Windows say's The device is not recognized, one of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and blah, blah...
Could someone help me get the adb sideload thing working, please?

Hmm ... you have already posted on xda assist ([Completed] [Q] Need rooting help LG L80!).
So I assume that you rooted like described in the linked thread.
If you have issues, you can either ask in the rooting thread, or in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !

Hello, first post on this forum, so yeah ^^ I am also kinda new to this. I have a gs3 which is rooted and all, but that is old, and methods has changed...
So i tried to root my shield tablet and it got stuck in a boot loop. I can not get it into the bootloader using adb tools, or fastboot, or atleast i knot know how to. I have ran the: adb reboot bootloader, without success. I have also tried the: adb devices command and i dont see my device there. I have installed mini adb drivers.
This happend when using this tool(windroid): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499926
So im thinking that if there is a way to get out of this, that would be great. I really hope i have not bricked it... all i wanted to to was to get root so that i could connect a ps3 controller... :/
I tried to use the windroid program but the recovery did not install. so i did it manually following this tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/shi...t-root-nvidia-shield-tablet-lollipop-t2972316
im am not complaining or anything, purly looking for help.
So, after trying i got it up and running. i did not flash any supersu.zip files, just installed it from the market. wen it asked me to reboot the device ended up like this. I am aware of the disclaimers and stuff. If i go to device manager on my computer i can se: SHIELD Tablet, with a yellow triangle. I also searched youtube and this forum to look for posts, but found none that could help.

**Update** I found out how to get into the bootloader manually, so ill continue trying...
I'm done

Hello,
I have an Xperia L that I want to root and install a custom ROM on it.
The problem is that whenever I connect the phone to my laptop, although it is recognized by the laptop, the drivers are installing, and the phone is connected without any problem, any of the rooting command prompt-based applications I have tried aren't recognizing my phone or they aren't working.
I've tried motochopper, Doomlord easy rooting toolkit, and rootkitXperiaL, all of them downloaded from this forum.
The general error and freeze is "daemon started successfully", but after that there's nothing happening at all.
My cell phone is quite old and used, and the Volume Up button doesn't work, in order to put it in Fastboot mode, if that's gonna' help at all, so is there any solution to this?
Thank you very much.

If you just want to root your phone (using windows pc), I suggest vroot ( older version of iroot for windows). But first you should enable debugging mode in developer options . It works with just one click and simply roots Xperia L ! Then you can feel roots of your phone and use its capabilities
I have docomo tab arrows f-03g with android 4.4.4 .I want to root it .I have done following steps but failed to root .Tried king root ,kingo root ,iroot and some others with pc and without pc but no sucess .tried to unlock bootloder but tablet not going to fastboot mood by cmd command "adb reboot bootloader" just simple restart. I can go to recovery by key combination but recovery have two option 1 update and 2 factory reset .I treid many combination but cannot go to fastboot if someone knows any other method then tell me. tried magisk but need to unlock bootloader. Now is this the dead end or or something more can be done please guide me.

The Qualcomm driver mentioned is a driver to get installed in Wndows OS.
