Need help to fix boot loop - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, first post on this forum, so yeah ^^ I am also kinda new to this. I have a gs3 which is rooted and all, but that is old, and methods has changed...
So i tried to root my shield tablet and it got stuck in a boot loop. I can not get it into the bootloader using adb tools, or fastboot, or atleast i knot know how to. I have ran the: adb reboot bootloader, without success. I have also tried the: adb devices command and i dont see my device there. I have installed mini adb drivers.
This happend when using this tool(windroid): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499926
So im thinking that if there is a way to get out of this, that would be great. I really hope i have not bricked it... all i wanted to to was to get root so that i could connect a ps3 controller... :/
I tried to use the windroid program but the recovery did not install. so i did it manually following this tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/shi...t-root-nvidia-shield-tablet-lollipop-t2972316
im am not complaining or anything, purly looking for help.
So, after trying i got it up and running. i did not flash any supersu.zip files, just installed it from the market. wen it asked me to reboot the device ended up like this. I am aware of the disclaimers and stuff. If i go to device manager on my computer i can se: SHIELD Tablet, with a yellow triangle. I also searched youtube and this forum to look for posts, but found none that could help.

**Update** I found out how to get into the bootloader manually, so ill continue trying...

I'm done

[Q] Have I truly bricked my Gtablet?

Purchased a gtablet, all went smooth after I installed the TNT Rom, but found some sound issues, and found out that seemed to plague a lot of other people, so decided to try another ROM - can't even recall which one now. But now where I'm stuck at is if I hold down vol up and power, I get "Recovery key detected Booting recovery kernel image" and it sits there forever. Even if I take out the microsd card, I get the same screen. A normal power attempt sits forever at the Viewsonic "birds" screen. I've tried just about every rom, none take . I'm pretty sure I had the clockwork recoverymod installed, but now I can't even get into that.
I tried volume down + power, (ATP mode?) but none of the drivers I've found are for Windows 7 64 bit, so I can't access the tablet in that mode because the lack of drivers.
Any suggestions on what to do from here?
Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the link.. I think I've seen that - I don't see a APX driver missing in Device Manager - there is a ADB Interface, however when I let that install drivers, it says the Device cannot start - Code 10.
I may have another computer I can boot up and try
phirephoto,
I wrote the USB post and used the files there to NVFlash in APX mode. I know the info there is accurate.
I also have found, however, that if you install the whole SDK kit instead of the files in my post, it installs ADB. I don't know much about ADB but I know it basically works about the same.
If you have the APX driver it says it is the nVidia USB driver in Device Manager. So I am assuming you have installed SDK.
I can only suggest you make sure what files are installed on your PC and what method you are using and then research this site. I know several people have used the ADB methods and posted about them.
Good luck.

If you have another computer -- try the method reobeet posted along with the Advent Vega USB files. I know that has worked.

[Q] In the middle of rooting my xoom, help needed!

Ive read almost every thread i possibly could to find an answer and i cant. I was stupid and impulsive and i used one-click to root my wifi xoom, well it worked all the way up until it got stuck at dual core.
I can reboot into fastboot or just reboot using power and volume up but i never get past the dual core screen. Up until yesterday i couldnt figure out how to do anything but now ive got all the files in the right folders and i can flash the boot.img then i get to fastboot reboot. But then when i type adb shell it tells me device not recognized. Ive installed the drivers and the sdk manager but one thing that gets me is that my device is never recognized by AVD.
i tried adb killserver but i dont know exactly what to do after that
All help is extremely appreciated, and after reading for 3 days straight on this board i know that any and all help will most likely solve my problem.
I'm so excited to hear your replies so i can get my xoom up and running again!

[Q] NVFlash issue, cant get help on NVFlash page.

hello, let me first say i have posted appropriate questions on the NVflash webpage for this issue, and so far have been unanswered.
i am hoping that by posting this in the Q&A section of XDA someone might see this.
I feel as though my issue is very simple, but i cant seem to find any answers and as i have said, my posts on the NVflash webpage have so far been unanswered (over a month)
i am on 4.0.3 zeus rom, have rooted and added TWRP recovery. yet, now that im trying to use NVFlash so i can update to JB finally. it wont let me start fastboot. just sits there at boot saying starting USB Fastboot protocol…
and thats it…. i plug it in, adb devices. nothing. fastboot reboot. “waiting for device”
i have the proper drivers, as i had to have them to root/rom/recover the tablet in the first place. i have NOT done NVFlash yet (i exchanged my TF201 for a TF700 at bestbuy to avoid needing to nvflash the first time)
can anyone please help me? im not sure what to do, if i cant get fastboot to work.
the ROM i am on works, no issue, no brick. i just wanted to update to JB finally.
any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Ignore the drivers you used before. Use the ones stated on the nvflash page. That should fix your problem.
i appreciate you trying to help but the drivers on the nvflash page... are the ones i am using... it seems fastboot will not run ON my device. says "starting usb fastboot protocol"
ill redownload them and try it again though. thanks
That is the message it says when running fastboot on the tablet. It will never say anything else.
Redo the drivers on your pc. Uninstalling asus sync if you have it as that could have broken it.

Accidentally deleted os, cannot push files to device

I see that there are other threads for this and I have read through them but they don't seem to be helping. I was in the middle of using the Nexus Toolkit to install a Rom when the program temporarily booted TWRP after it removed old os and then it stopped working and I went to reboot from the temporary boot when it told me I had no OS. Because I do not have a ROM my computer does not detect ADB status so I cannot seem to get anytging on the device. I also can seem to get the sideload to work. I am not quite sure how to use the CMD for this and I have used other threads suggestions like starting cmd in the folder that has the rom i want to flash and the typing the adb commands but it doesn't seem to work. Can someone help please?
STOP USING TOOLKITS!
If you can't get adb to work, you need to sort it out first. Follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979

you need naked usb drivers to make adb work in recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386956
Download any rom you want, then with adb push rom.zip /sdcard you can send teh rom zip to your phone then you can flash it. If it not visiable from recovery then reboot your recovery.
Edit: if you are on windows 8 or 8.1 turn off driver signature enforcement to be able to install the driver
I just don't know how to get these things to work. Is there a video or something to help me with this. I dont understand how to install these naked drivers. I just cant seem to get anything onto my phone.

There isn't any video.
If you want, download team viewer, then pick me up on hangouts: [email protected]
I will show you how to do that

This is why you really shouldn't use toolkits unless you know how to fix it if something goes wrong. It doesn't teach you the necessary skills to fix problems.
If there was a button to remove all toolkits off the face of the Earth, I would press it without hesitation.

Bricked Tf300t (Have Blobs)

Ok, so as the title says, I have the blob files (which I just found on my laptop). The tablet has TWRP v2.6.3.0 and asks for a password, which I don't know. Reading around it looks like it's just the error you get if you happen to have installed the wrong recovery for your bootloader. I have run the JB brickproof (flatline) and have my files. However, I can't get my desktop *or* my laptop to see the tablet in adb. The drivers fail. I also can't seem to get it to boot to APX mode. It only wants to go to TWRP. I can't force the BL to run because I can't get ADB to run. Anyone have any thoughts?

Try reinstalling the Universal Naked Drivers, using a different USB port, using Test Mode (if on Windows 8) to get the ADB working.
When that does get up, this thread should be helpful:

Hey todd.. I have a tab thats briked too for around 9 months now( flashed wrong twrp and on top of that chose wipe option from bootloader..my mistake for not reading the instructions clearly)and i hadnt made nvflash backup..now i am desperatly searching for the blob files so that atleast i can try doing something to get it out of the graveyard.. I never it online anywhere..I know the files are device specific but what goes in giving it a try..curretly the tab just boots to recovery with adb and apx only..fastboot doesnt work..
So will it be too much to ask if its possible to share the blob files??? ..
