Ok so I finally found a way to root this b***h the LG L80. I've had 3 Androids before - Sony and two LG's, rooted them no problem, but this one is just ridicilously hard to root... So I found yet another way the ioroot method, but again I'm encountering some problems, this time it goes like this... I installed all the latest drivers and all, latest SDK and ADB, and everything's fine, the adb shell works and all, but when I put it in recovery mode and choose Apply update from ADB my Windows say's The device is not recognized, one of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and blah, blah...
Could someone help me get the adb sideload thing working, please?

Hmm ... you have already posted on xda assist ([Completed] [Q] Need rooting help LG L80!).
So I assume that you rooted like described in the linked thread.
If you have issues, you can either ask in the rooting thread, or in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !

I have read all types of forums to Reboot Bootloader. Yeah, I know stuck at the beginning, not a good sign.Any way I went to Developer.android and got SDK. Followed various suggestions and have it on machine. However the windows 7 won't recognize device. I downloaded Motorola Device Manager for the drivers (I beleive this may be the issue) and it found no updates. I have debugged checked on Xoom, but jellybean icon shows up intermittently. When I type in CMD prompt to adb reboot bootloader, it doesn't recognize the device.
Other CMD commands suggested during instruction video worked verifying I had ADB installed coirrectly. I checked the device in control panel and it is unidentfied.Device properties has this error" Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
Please, can someone assist. I think that I need the drivers, but the motorola Device manager is the only tool I can find and I dont think it has the drivers, I could be wrong, but this is what I'm guessing.
Ok. I found online that the new USB 3.0 has issues with this process. I plugged into a 2.0 USB and I'm in business. I've gone through unlocking. Now I can't locate the Universal Xoom Root Zip. All tutorial links that I could find go to a link that no longer has the file. can someone point me in the right direction or send me a link to the file- Thanks for the help
Ok status update. I was able to find the file and have successfully Rooted. The question, now is I restarted and I have an Green Android robot on my screen with Tiamat engraved on front stomach area. I believe I was in recovery last. IS the Xoom doing anything in the background. I don't want to interrupt something if it is running. I have downloaded BiGPART and Omni 4.4 components but I seem to be stuck
Wow... Not one response. I was able to figure it out and now am the owner of 4.4
Hello XDA member
I have a touchlet xa100 tablet running Android 4.4.2 and want to root it, but Towelroot said "device not supported" and I cant use a pc because i have no adb driver for it. After searching, I tried a guide to modify the google usb driver, but that didnt work either.
My computer is running Windows7 x64 and other devices (Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Sony Xperia M C1905) are detected by adb decives.
I hope you can point me to the right point.

I didn't find any report of workign root for your device on xda.
But you can try the most popular and generic rootng methods:
How to Root Any Device
How To Root Any Android Device
[TOOL] Rootx 2.2 (Rev 3 )- Root almost all android devices
[UNIVERSAL GUIDE] Root Any Android Device Manually !
Root any Android device (without pc n in one click)
[ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices
...
BTW, on some devices, TowelRoot only works on an older firmware/kernel version. So if nothing else works and you know how to downgrade to an older firmware version, you might try TowelRoot again.
Good luck !
After trieng all those methods, i got superuser installed but root not useable, SuperSU cant uninstall/update the su binary, so i gave up.
From fun and trieng to find out if i could use fastboot i typed adb reboot bootloader, 10 seconds after the tablet gave up and isnt booting any more. Its stuck in the kernel splash Image.
Its detected by my pc as "Samsung Android Phone" but not by adb.
You know a trick to revive it from the death (except JTAG) or do i have a new paperweight?
I dont know if it has a recovery, but even if it has one, how can i get there? It has only 2 Buttons, Power and Back, and if i press those 2 together, the kernel splash Image appears.

Hello, thanks for reading.
I want to start by saying I'm not asking how to fix my phone. All I need to know is how to make my computer recognize my phone so I can give it commands via adb/fastboot. And if you can help me I'd be happy to buy you a beer!
After that I think I can figure out the rest. I've been searching threads and trying things for weeks with no avail. My problem is similar to many, but slightly different so I really do need help. My LG G2 D801 is stuck in Fastboot Mode.
But my primary problem is that my computer doesn't recognize my phone in fastboot or adb, even with Official LG G2 D801 drivers.
I'll try to briefly and clearly describe my situation and what I've tried.
Long Story Short:
1. I rooted using TowelRoot method.
2. I broke my Recovery by trying to flash TWRP using an app called Flashify.
3. I attempted OTA update in spite of my broken Recovery and bricked my phone.
4. Now my phone only shows LG logo, then goes to Fastboot. (XXX = numbers change each time)
Fastboot Screen:
"[XXX] fastboot mode started
[XXX] udc_start ()"
5. Won't boot into Recovery or Download Mode.
6. So on my PC (Windows 8.1) I first cleared all Android drivers, then installed the official LG G2 D801 drivers, and Android Studio with ADB.exe and Fastboot.exe. I also tried different usb ports and cords.
7. But my PC doesn't recognize my phone, so when I run the command "list adb devices", my phone does not appear (However, my Brother's Kindle Fire, Galaxy Note 3, and Galaxy Note 2 show so it's just me). Perhaps this means I never checked USB debugging?
8. If someone can help me I'd be happy to buy them a beer:highfive:. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help!
9. I should also mention that I also have access to a Linux computer running Ubuntu, although I'm not very familiar with that OS.
My Device's Information:
LG-D801 running LG's stock 4.2.2.
Software version D801V11b
Build Number JDQ39B
Kernel Version 3.4.0
I think I had your similar situation. Go here: http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver
Download and install that msi, it will install a universal driver that helped my PC see my phone when no other drivers could.

Hello, first post on this forum, so yeah ^^ I am also kinda new to this. I have a gs3 which is rooted and all, but that is old, and methods has changed...
So i tried to root my shield tablet and it got stuck in a boot loop. I can not get it into the bootloader using adb tools, or fastboot, or atleast i knot know how to. I have ran the: adb reboot bootloader, without success. I have also tried the: adb devices command and i dont see my device there. I have installed mini adb drivers.
This happend when using this tool(windroid): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499926
So im thinking that if there is a way to get out of this, that would be great. I really hope i have not bricked it... all i wanted to to was to get root so that i could connect a ps3 controller... :/
I tried to use the windroid program but the recovery did not install. so i did it manually following this tut http://forum.xda-developers.com/shi...t-root-nvidia-shield-tablet-lollipop-t2972316
im am not complaining or anything, purly looking for help.
So, after trying i got it up and running. i did not flash any supersu.zip files, just installed it from the market. wen it asked me to reboot the device ended up like this. I am aware of the disclaimers and stuff. If i go to device manager on my computer i can se: SHIELD Tablet, with a yellow triangle. I also searched youtube and this forum to look for posts, but found none that could help.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It sounds like you need to return the device to stock. See if you can find away to do that here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra If not, you can ask in the Q&A forum. They are the experts on your device.
