Shipped Pre-rooted too

Currently using Endymion v1.1. Really impressed. Had a bit of lag with runnymede but this release which is a relatively young release is very nippy and with very little bugs and the addition of rctweaks is great. Definately recommended.

sorry guys cudn't edit the poll!!!...

I've got to go with CyanogenMod - Sense is just too bloated for my liking.

Well open new thread with pool.

Hyperion rom....no doubt...
It's fast, it's stable, got sense in other words.....it's the best of both worlds

Hi, All NS4G User! Kwiboo.ICS.V3 or Koush.Alpha10

Please tell us which one you are using now and How is it?
I'm using Koush A10, have to say I love it. I did see any bug so far(2 days)
I was using Kwiboo 1.5, i was really good too.(However USB and camcorder was work.)
Compare to to Kwiboo's rom koush's one seems like a little laggy.
So tell me which one you using?
Kwiboo rom is the fastest but aosp rom has the most features and the only one to have home screen landscape mode but koush rom is the first I tried with the most working features idk if one is better than the other
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Both are nice. I had the fewest problems with Koush.
The speed is just not there though. After a full bug-free day with Koush I went back to 2.3.7 because it's just so much faster. I'm not encouraged about ICS on this device.
Netiher, tried them both and I must say they are good but they don't even touch AOSP's ICS rom. Get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364221
This has been rock solid so far only thing I can see that is missing is 4G.

It does that to me too and I'm guessing the stock browser dosent have the proper files in order to download, so in that case it won't download anything. But I've been using xscope to to download roms, kernels, etc.. for now.
there's really no comparing any ics build with aosp's. . .
i'm so thankful for it. seemed like gsm nexus s was getting all the ics love
Yeah didn't work for me but I'm not to concerned.Still like this one the best for my use. I know everyone has different opinions and that's whats cool.
Neither
I was on oICS, liked it better than the 2 that the OP mentioned, but now I'm on Brainmasters build for NS4G, & for my phone, it's the best. Out of the box it's faster & smoother than the other builds, even with custom kernels & overclocking.

Can you tell us which files are missing from the browser??
I could have sworn the problem was in permissions or a lib file.
I could download some files, but not others. For instance, I could download MathKids v11 kernel, but not 11.5. Crazy.
I'm on BM v6 (Koush a11) here, with franco's 26/11 kernel. It's blazing fast.

Another vote for AOSP's v13. It's great, smooth and cant wait for v14.

He has a couple versions, one of which is based on Koush I believe.
How does AOSP's ICS ROM compare to a 2.3 ROM like CM7? In my testing of Koush's and another ICS ROM, I couldn't believe how sluggish my NS4G was.

Sweet and obnoxious username choice all at the same time.

Friends, I am a lot more confused as which ROM is better... Didn't wanted to test myself was waitin for someone to do it for lazy folks like me... however, the anxiety of ICS can't be kept in back drop any longer... while I type this response I taking backup of data on NS... will try kwiboo's ROM - as it was the first post for ICS port I read... However, I see inclination of couple folks for AOSP ROM... I'll wait for a couple of hrs, if there is one more vote for AOSP I'll try it...
I've tried every ics versions kwiboo and koush's
Brainmaster 's. V6 with kwiboo 's v3 is the best.
Thanks

I have tried MIUI ROMs, they are great in looks but drains battery considerably. So i just have mentioned ICS and AOKP ROMs. I'm currently using 5th one on the list. I'm not sure when we will be getting kernel 3, may be after jb. . but i guess it sure enhances the performance and battery life. currently i'm using cm9 kernel.

Yeah but Indroid has beats audio and audio FX which is really awesome:laugh:. I didn't find any improvement on music in CM9.. and I didn't find CM9 laggy either..! CM9 occupies lesser space than InDroid, as InDroid has a lot of apps.. some are unnecessary. .like s2 settings. .so I opened the InDroid.zip file on 7zip and deleted the apps i don't want and flashed it again. . luckily it worked
cm9 is the best for me daily usage.

Cm7, cm9 or Ics are unofficial beta roms so they are buggy. Those who said they are the best are good liers.
Fanciful roms which imitate iPhone or ICS have overheads. soon, you will find it to become slower and slower.
Value or cut down versions have compromises but they are fast.
It is a question of performance vs features. I will go for speed so 6 is my choice. Battery life and stability are also my prime concerns.

i think dhiru's cm9 is faster than others ....
Each custom Roms have their own limitations and bugs, especially ICS Roms.
I suggest u weigh each rom on ur own and install the one that is best suited to ur daily usage requirement.
in my personal view, CM9a11 is good as well as RemICS.
Although RemICS will have battery drain problem, use vurrut kernal on RemICS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653795) and u will have a good battery.
Rem-JB v2 isn't bad either, been using it as everyday rom. Suprisingly smooth considering it is still alpha 1JB by Dhiru. Found litle bug here n there but nothing annoying.

mmmm.. your question is similar to a "what's the best ROM?".... that's not allowed, right? I don't wanna be a party pooper or anything.... jus saying.
CM10 is now definitively the best ROM, smooth and very fast. They are very little buggy, but remember the ROM is in alpha 1

Do something new....

We are porting same stuff again and again, like MIUI, Xperia....
why we don't port Chinese roms like Lewa OS and others.....???
Undercover IOS lover, exist here, no doubt.
Some part of me does agree with you, but then again since we are not modders or developers, we've to be satisfied with what we're offered!
Always remember it could've been worse.!

Just a statement :
ROMs that are to be ported using CM7 as base wont work, as CM7 itself isnt stable, and its not under active development..
Guys can't we get any other OS other than android there's a lot of open source operating systems like fire fox web os a lot more
PS: I just want to know is it possible or not

ported roms are always buggy my friend
they have a lot of performance issues and usually dnt leave up to expectation.
u shud respect the rons that are mad by devs because thats original work
posrting a rom is ver difficult

I can't tell you the best one.. All roms have some bugs, sometimes not so bothering than others. 5.1.x roms have BSODs(blue screen of death) therefore aren't stable... Kitkat roms are not so popular so .. CM12 is stable/fast for me
CM12 + Thunderzap 4.14 ?
Stock
Sent from my C2105 using XDA Free mobile app
After trying different roms on my xperia L, I think that the stock rom is best for daily use. CM 11 is also good, but in my experience after using it for a couple of months it started to get very slow and also had a few critical bugs. CM 12 was very disappointing for me. It is very slow even on clean install, app open times are extremely slow (especially when using link2sd), ram management is terrible (launcher often redraws), internal memory fills up qickly and battery life is worse compared to CM 11.
Delete some of your apps/data lol
---------- Post added at 09:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:35 PM ----------
cm 12 works good for me
I'll stick with stock then. Thanks for your answers i have taken my decision.
Theres no best rom for any device. It's the users that realise which rom suits best according to their need. So it could be different for everyone.
Developers work very hard for their development and comparing them is the worse thing that could be done
