Has anyone been able to run order and chaos on the mytouch 4g slide? I used to play it on my g2x and Dell streak until I upgraded to a mytouch 4g slided and updated my streak 7 to 3.2. Anyone know a work around? I would really love to play the game on my phone, and I'm sure there are many who are wanting to do the same. Thanks in advance.

I tried a cracked version. Just being curious and it told me device not supported and yes I'm pissed.

I might try to edit the build.prop and change the model name and few other lines. Gonna do some more research before I do so. Any suggesttions?

I've successfully used other HTC device versions (Incredible, myTouch4G) of other Gameloft games (Games I've paid for!) on my 4gSlide.
Order and Chaos is the mmo, right? It may have other problems than just not recognizing the device if you try to use a cracked version.
Umm it doesn't even show on the market or the pc version also tells me its incompataible if I try to download it from the pc market to my phone.

The mytouch 4g version works for the mytouch 4g slide. I took one for the team and tried it out. Bought it and downloaded it straight from the gameloft website, all this done on my phone. I am only rooted btw. Give it a shot guys.

The mytouch 4g version works fine for our device. I been questing for a bit now and its all good. Sound, picture, it all works 100% for me. I'm on arcadian forest US, name is holyshiznit - orc mage, level 10 atm.
Just got it too. Works as u said. Deathrus is my guy I'm human though seems like a different faction?

The G2 has been rooted (full)! Does this mean full root on Mytouch 4 Gizz? I believe they both had the same nan lock. I'm looking foward to custom roms and modifications, Sence Rom and cyanogen will make this phone much better. Any Devs working on the mytouch that I can follow?

Actually that's something I noticed too, all the work with modules, overlooking , etc. Has been for the G2 I may regret my decision to switch over to the mt4g I was spoiled with all the attention the g1 got.

The G2 has been out longer, and it was expected to get more attention then this one overall.
Hopefully the process will work on this one also after some developers here are guided by the G2 method (assuming it is a similar scheme on both devices).
Kmobs (teamdouch) ordered the phone last week. We'll be fine.
Update, he just posted in another thread here that he'll have it in a few hours

I will be receiving my new mytouch 4g this thurs. I have been bouncing around with different phones in the past two months. My last three phones were the G2, Nexus S, and most recently the Inspire.
What can I expect coming to this side? What are the most sought after roms kernels? The phone im getting is already rooted with s off and all that so I guess the easy part is done :+}

I give all my phones a trial period. Its pretty much when im done hacking till I cant hack no more or till I get simply bored. But I always wanted to try a a mytouch but never got around to it.

Didn't see that you were already rooted! In that case, TeamRoyal and Faux pretty much own the MT4G dev section. So anything from them is good, and of course the good ol CM7.

CM7 > all other ROMs.
RoyalMint is my daily driver since it came out. Team Royal specifically Option94 has been really working hard on it. Not saying they dont work hard on any other of their ROMs.

Thats what i might try first. Its like no matter where i go whether its youtube or somewhere someone has TeamRoyal. it must take the mytouch to another level
So a coworker of mine recently joined the Android family from a 3gs, but is actually considering going back because he can't get netflix. Is there a work around for a non rooted phone or an eta on when/ if it will be officially released?

Any of the latest GB ROMs for DesireHD that have hit the streets lately like the Asian WWE, Telus or the Australian one from a week or so ago (or custom ROMs based on these) will work using the libstagefrighthw.so file from the Pyramid Sense 3.0 ROM (which is what the Virtuous Unity ROM is based on so you can copy from that). Hopefully HTC will have an updated lib file before the US 2.3.3 release, but I'm not holding my breath.
So, short answer: your friend will probably go back to iPhone. Ask him how much to buy his Inspire.

I read some where on here that the Inspire is allegedly going to be one of the next phones to get an official release from Netflix. But for now you have to be rooted.
That's right, I was messing around in the market and I stumbled on it, I'm not sure how many of you know, but the my touch 4g now has official netflix app, it runs pretty smoothly, go check it out.

What ROM are you running. The MyTouch4G/Glacier isn't on their officially supported list.

I just got the phone this past week and am still using an unrooted 2.3.4 MT4G. I got the app this past weekend, so it is supported.
Lmao. The mytouch 4g slide has official support. Not the regular my touch. If u are using unity or daddys port u will have show in the,market. But it still works non the less.

I flashed my backup of mysense 2.3.4 and no netflix in market. But when im on the doubleshot port it shows up.

correct, some of the ROM builders have inputted a coding that makes the market think it's a officially supported phone.

I have 2.3.4, I just got the phone so its just the update from tmobile, but yeah, I downloaded netflix from the market and used it. Its version 1.3
So how did I get it? I wish I am that good, but I am not ;-) anyhow I have a brand new one, not rooted yet, and no plans on modding this phone until I read about the different rom's.

found that some ROM's seem to make the app dissapear on the market, however if you log in to your Netflix and go to streaming you can choose Android and it will take you to the app on your PC which will then DL to your MT4G...that's what I did. Works great.

Netflix shows up on my stock 2.3.4 Rom and I'm not rooted at the moment just got a new replacement phone with the good screen but it has the gingerbread ota on it

When I had my phone unrooted what I did to get netflix running was download snappzmarket and searched up netflix and install and it worked.

SK4G is unsupported both by devs and Samsung. Aren't you guys still stuck with Froyo or something? Either way even if you get GB you'll never see anything past GB unless you get CM9, which is highly unlikely.
MT4G has awesome Sense ROM's, a solid MIUI ROM, and a very stable CM7 ROM with CM9 looking within weeks.

I actually traded my sk4g for a Mytouch and its completely with it. Yes a keyboard its nice but there's no development, and the Mytouch has a bigger screen and typing/swyping is a lot easier that on the sidekick screen.

Getting a Mytouch 4G for a Sidekick 4G is like getting an Audi for Kia (I don't specifically have anything against Kia, but I doubt anyone will argue that a Kia is a better car than an Audi). Don't ask questions. TRADE! Trade and run before your friend realizes their mistake.
I played with a Sidekick 4G for a few minutes and it was a joke. Minus a physical keyboard a Mytouch 4G is better in every way.
