What ROM are you running. The MyTouch4G/Glacier isn't on their officially supported list.

I just got the phone this past week and am still using an unrooted 2.3.4 MT4G. I got the app this past weekend, so it is supported.
Lmao. The mytouch 4g slide has official support. Not the regular my touch. If u are using unity or daddys port u will have show in the,market. But it still works non the less.

there is another thread floating around here stating the same thing.
I flashed my backup of mysense 2.3.4 and no netflix in market. But when im on the doubleshot port it shows up.

correct, some of the ROM builders have inputted a coding that makes the market think it's a officially supported phone.

I have 2.3.4, I just got the phone so its just the update from tmobile, but yeah, I downloaded netflix from the market and used it. Its version 1.3
So how did I get it? I wish I am that good, but I am not ;-) anyhow I have a brand new one, not rooted yet, and no plans on modding this phone until I read about the different rom's.

found that some ROM's seem to make the app dissapear on the market, however if you log in to your Netflix and go to streaming you can choose Android and it will take you to the app on your PC which will then DL to your MT4G...that's what I did. Works great.

Netflix shows up on my stock 2.3.4 Rom and I'm not rooted at the moment just got a new replacement phone with the good screen but it has the gingerbread ota on it

When I had my phone unrooted what I did to get netflix running was download snappzmarket and searched up netflix and install and it worked.

In the dev's op for the thread he states it will not work on devices with S-on

I'm guessing no one still actually tested this though. It said to run gingerbreak for like 10 mins after removing htc sync. I ran gingerbreak only for about 2 minutes and nothing happened. And temp root is at least a start if it hopefully works.

So I saw an article on tmonews stating htc will update the sensation and the amaze 4G in the beginning of 2012. what I wonder is how the hell they updating a device that came last like the amaze 4G and not the mytouch slide that came out way before? Smh yea it will get updated but not in the time it should. Watch us get an update really late on mid 2012.

Yea but I really don't wanna root right now lol so I'm just gonna wait for the legit ics update and than root and maybe overclock. I mean really I have no reason to overclock this beast it is way to fast stock and no lag when pinch to zoon and scrolling pages or apps.

Yeah but here is the thing...what will HTC add with ICS...remember in all actuallity the OEM system is now Gingerbread but mysense added to it...your user expirience is the redheaded T-mo branded version of sense (which I hate compared to the real one) So is HTC going to release ICS with sense 3.5 or will it be like the phones released early next year with sense 4.0? So yeah while we will have probally Cyanogen 8 and maybe ICS AOSP I can't wait to see a ROM that is ICS with Sense....
I work for HTC. We haven't finished announcing what devices will receive ICS.

Well I seen a story posted on the web by AndroidCore about the HTC devices and the Doubleshot was not on it...but one question was since t-mobile branded it from HTC wonder if it would be up to T-mo....there should be no reason the doubleshot would get overlooked it is a new device now...

There are some t-mobile phones that were announced that they are getting the update, like the Sensation, and the mytouch 4g....so Tmobile isn't stopping the update...who knows why they didn't announce our phone

What are the up and downs and the current roms that are on the speedy title. (I like fast roms) what's the latest update and build quality etc...that's it. Thanks and pleassee reply quickly

SK4G is unsupported both by devs and Samsung. Aren't you guys still stuck with Froyo or something? Either way even if you get GB you'll never see anything past GB unless you get CM9, which is highly unlikely.
MT4G has awesome Sense ROM's, a solid MIUI ROM, and a very stable CM7 ROM with CM9 looking within weeks.

I actually traded my sk4g for a Mytouch and its completely with it. Yes a keyboard its nice but there's no development, and the Mytouch has a bigger screen and typing/swyping is a lot easier that on the sidekick screen.

Getting a Mytouch 4G for a Sidekick 4G is like getting an Audi for Kia (I don't specifically have anything against Kia, but I doubt anyone will argue that a Kia is a better car than an Audi). Don't ask questions. TRADE! Trade and run before your friend realizes their mistake.
I played with a Sidekick 4G for a few minutes and it was a joke. Minus a physical keyboard a Mytouch 4G is better in every way.

Uh wut? Nexus ICS alphas have been floating around for weeks.
The evo is always going to have more roms available at any given time, since there's a ton of devs working on that phone... And more options because of Sense.
First of all the things we have are sdk ports so they don't count. Second I would rather have a rom with half busted stuff than nothing like we do now. Wahh it sucks.

I don't think that someone has a decent working ICS right now.
But come on, don't start a ton of new threads just to aks why there's no ics. I know it's exciting but after all it's just ICS xD
And it's just a max. of 1 month waiting time 'till the ota gets out. I would go so far to say that no one of us will die from waiting
Max one month is a huge overstatement. It will be a miracle on xda street if we get an ota in a month. Mark my words.

I don't know. I just went over to the Evo forum to see what was going on, and they were struggling just to get the sdk port to work.

I was working on installing a light in my kitchen and had the torch on bright and it just went out and won't come back on. I was running a jelly bean port when it happened. I nandroided back to rcmix3d 4.0 to see if it was rom related and its not. I doubt its still under warranty because I've had this phone since it launched. I wouldn't send it back anyways because I've seen users end up getting sent a lg mytouch. I guess I need to know if its fixable or not

I haven't found anyone who sells those super duper LEDs for our phone.
Not sure if I'm ready to upgrade, I really like this phone as long as there are new roms being put out.I'm not too impressed with tmobiles line up, but by november who knows what will be out

There is supposed to be a quad-core One X out by then (One X+).
weeeiiirrddd...... ok i took the new kernel that elginsk8r made and put it in virtuous infinity and why playing with the camera and taking pictures ( yes i said that for those of you who dont know what is coming today) my flash started working again so i shut down the camera and opened the flashlight app and it works again. i dont know what in this new rom and kernel made it work again when the other 3.5 sense rom or jellybean wouldnt. its a good day people
