[Q] laptops are unable to detect my phone!

I tried to connect my phone with 3 different pcs but none of them detected my phone . So what would be the problem! The USB charging was working!
Is it necessary to install USB drivers????

Try this, settings > applications > development > USB debugging. Enable debugging.
Yes it is necessary (the drivers). Try installing them again if you previously had any.
Delete everything related to your phone, connect your phone again and see if it works.
If that doesn't work you could back-up your data and perform a factory reset. (Worked for me)
Tried using another USB cable ? And is your phone new ? Is it rooted ?
Press Thanks if helped

Tether and mass storage work for me, and my 2 laptops and 1 pc won't install LG drivers
so you don't need the drivers

Nexus 5 unable to authorize

My friend got a new nexus 5 and for some reason the window that usually pops up to authorize the computer does not show up. Tried different cables, debugging is enabled, tried hard reset, software is updated. My nexus connects and authorizes fine. Inability to authorize is preventing us from being able to flash custom recovery. I was able to boot device into bootloader mode and unlock it though, but no luck when it is booted. Any ideas?

Yes, you know how a window would popup asking to reject or accept when debugging is enabled? That window never comes up. So, apps like nexus root toolking or most adb commands do not work.

You may need to run your pc without antivirus and firewall.. Right click a program and select run as administrator..

Also try switching/toggling modes when you plug the USB cable in

Sounds like you don't have the latest adb&drivers. This happened to me also. Those can undoubtedly be found somewhere on here by searching.

Not just the drivers, use a newer adb too. If that doesn't work you can clear the authorized devices on the phone and there is also a file located on your computer that I think needs to be deleted also.
My nexus was really picky on the debug 'handshake' whereas I had to remove all authorized computers/delete the file on my pc and use the newest adb and drivers - and even then I had to reboot the phone first (once everything was cleared) and use the newest adb & drivers to make it work right.

But not for that much In your case, by and large, it's enough to get to another PC and put ONLY CWM - then all you can do

Sounds like a charging port issue then, have you done the other usual things like factory reset on phone or reflashing firmware?
Can't reflash without connecting to PC!!!!!
