Could anybody with Nexus S 4G extract the lastest Google Wallet Please? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently using Nexus S I9020A, so Google doesn't officially support Google Wallet on my phone. I have already rooted my phone and flashed Google Wallet on my phone, but it isn't the lastest version of it.
The Google Wallet on my phone is 1.0-R27v9, and the current version of it is 1.0-R33v6. So could anybody with Nexus S 4G extract the google wallet apk file?
Really appreciate it.

I've heard that the newer versions actually query the phone model, so odds are it won't work on your device.
Attaching in case it does work though for ya.

oh yes. Although I successfully installed it, but when I open it, it says "You device is not supported".
Thanks anyway

You could probably get it to launch by changing your build prop but remember it needs more files than just the app to work

[Q] Android Market for Sensation

I got an unbranded unlocked HTC Sensation and it still has the "old" market. How exactly is the new market shipped out and to whom?
How come some users get them it automatically and some "have to" install it manually?
If you are rooted you can install the new market by yourself. If your unrooted the update will be pushed sometime. Depending on your carrier and location.

Yes, my phone is rooted. Was just wondering why some users got it automatically and some don't.
If I install it manually from an apk. How can I be sure it a "legit" file. Someone could easily has planted some malware or similar into the apk....

Have some trust in your fellow forum user. Search in the theme adn app section for the ics market leak. I assume that one will be legit.

However the Market Enabler doesn't seem to work with Market 3.2.0

Ice cream sandwich update!!!

Hey guys,
I need to update to manually update my nexus S to 4.0.3 with the available update (128MB) file. My main concern is that i dont know which version i have (means whether it's I9020T or I9020A etc.) I bought the unlocked GSM version from Best Buy US on the very day of release during my visit last year and the box had T-mobile SIM in it as well. Currently I'm not in US and my Nexus is running stock 2.3.6 unrooted with baseband: I9020XXKF1 and build no: GRK39F. Now please can someone tell me, can i go on with the update through the process mentioned here:
http://www.androidcentral.com/how-manually-update-your-gsm-nexus-s-ice-cream-sandwich
And will it give me that "recovery backlight" or "no service" or any like bug, experienced by many of the users????
The version should be on the back of the battery. Or on the box it came in (on a tag with bar codes if I remember correct).
Then just find the proper OTA for you here on xda and follow the procedure you posted.
Oh and I don't know about others but I never had a major problem. Just a couple of times the android OS kept the phone awake for a long time.

Yeah there was a Tmobile sim in the box and I9023 is for the SLCD models, right? And i'm sure that i have an SAMOLED version. So should i go on with the update??? I am tired of waiting for the updates but i'm reluctant because of those recovery and no radio after the update bugs.

The code is not on the battery. It is on the phone, UNDER the battery. I.e. remove the battery, and check the samsung sticker.

Thanks mat, got it. It's GT-I9020T, so i think it's safe to update it manually... Will try it tonight.
BTW there arent any issue or problems after manually updating it, right???
omg!!! but how can you buy a phone, and expensive too, and don't even know wich one you bought!!!! shame on you!!!

I updated Manually after I revived the OTA update but wouldn't install (my guess is due to Google throwing on the brakes) and have had no issue. If you Download the OTA zip from XDA you will have to re-root as the offical update will lock the phone again.

Interesting I came here on the same mission, to find out if it was safe to update mine.
I removed the battery and it borrowed my Dads glasses to read the label, it definitely says modelno: I9020A
I didn't actually buy mine, it was acquired by purchasing at work for a developer project, but its unlocked, didn't come with a SIM and I've used it with my t-mobile SIM back at home in the US, but I'm currently using it with great results, including USB tethering with a pre-pay O2[UK] SIM.
So which version/model does this make my phone?

[CM/AOKP] Anyone get Google Wallet working?

Hey just curious if anyone has had any been able to successfully get Google Wallet working with an AOSP rom on Verizon. I am aware that the current method works for Touchwiz based roms, however, the NFC libs are supposedly included in CM.
I can install the .apk fine but mine errors out when attempting to add the pre-paid card. Anyone else have the same issue?

I'm running CM10 and I'm also looking for a work around to get Google wallet working, keeps telling me that it's not supported.

So you cannot even install to add a card or is it showing as unsupported after you installed it?

I can install the .apk but when I run it I'm told that It's not currently supported on my device/carrier(VZW) and then the app closes.
Are you using the "hack" version that is stickied here in the General section? I didn't have the unsupported error and that is the app I used.

Firstly: Don't bump your own threads - especially not within 24 hours
Secondly, if you had bothered to search then you would have found a few threads with custom ROM dev in the Miscellaneous Android Development so you might find answers/help there
Thirdly, don't expect much as there aren't many people out there with that phone, so dev work and support is highly limited.
firstly i'm sorry i am new user old was used to update play store my phone but i'm my phone apply format and don't update play store It would not normally be
Try install apk

As far as I know, the newest versions of Google Play only run on ICS & JB.. Android 2.3.5 doesn't support them.
I'm not totally sure, but I think that might be the problem.

Certainly GB supports the Play Store fully. The OP might be best off downloading the latest gApps for GB and flashing that onto his device

Actually it since GB. So 2.3.5 is supported.
Okidoki, I had heard something like that somewhere, but seems like I was wrong.
So GB supports alls Google Play Updates, but Froyo doesn't?
I'm was used to update this play store but phone apply format and don't update..
Trying to apk download thanks! )

Unfortunately no. It would be nice if VZW didn't block stuff like this but they went with ISIS wallet now called softcard instead of Google wallet
From my CM11 S3
I used it at a vending machine yesterday... I worked just fine.

While comments are always appreciated what variant do you have and what rom are you running? That always make a big difference

I have GS3 on Verizon. Kitkat rooted Superlite Rom.I think GW "tap and pay" only works with Kitkat.
I am also on a rooted S3 with the BlissStalk rom. Kitkat 4.4.4
Mine does not work at all at tap to pay sites.. works fine trans files though. Care to share how you got it to work?

I heard it won't work with AOSP based roms... only with TW Kitkat.
