Thanks

Unfortunately no. It would be nice if VZW didn't block stuff like this but they went with ISIS wallet now called softcard instead of Google wallet

I have GS3 on Verizon. Kitkat rooted Superlite Rom.I think GW "tap and pay" only works with Kitkat.
I am also on a rooted S3 with the BlissStalk rom. Kitkat 4.4.4
Mine does not work at all at tap to pay sites.. works fine trans files though. Care to share how you got it to work?

I heard it won't work with AOSP based roms... only with TW Kitkat.

Hey guys,
my InFuse just told me it has an update available. I postponed it right now.
Mine is rooted and unlocked.
Is is possible to safely do the update?
Thanks for your input.

There is a whole 4 pages dedicated to this in the general forum... Look there...
Just found it ... I am truely sorry! My fault!
it will most likely not work. it has to be stock
Does anyone know where the update is stored on the phone, I wanted to pull it and look over it and maybe attach it to a ROM. Also does anyone know what it does?

Update does not work for custom roms, i did it on infused 1.1.4, no dice
It checked for att's bloatware....if you've deleted it or frozen it, the update will fail...

Yeah im having problems with mine, but now its saying im up to date but the version posted in the other thread doesnt match. Going to reset and update tomorrow then redo it all
It worked fine for my stock rooted phone with bloatware and tethering manager completely deleted. Now running FROYO.UCKE3.
Same here... it updated successfully on my stock rooted Infuse with the bloatware all deleted. I am still looking forward to ROM development with the new baseband(radio) though.
My Dad really needs this. He actually went for android/Moto G just because of app support. He previously had Nokia Lumia 710 which didn't have this.
I see there are no options. Please suggest one which works perfectly without root(most important).

I have read the entire thread, none works for those users too, only one which requires root and unlocked bootloader. This being my dad's phone, I can't afford to lose it's warranty.
Try galaxy call recorder.. Fiddle with settings a bit if it do not works initially..
Btw I installed it just yesterday. It worked fine for me earlier and fiddling will make it work here too.

Hahaha wait till I get calls to check any one of them on 4.4 KK. Updated it just last night.
Did you get the official kk update ? Try androrec meanwhile. You might have to fiddle with the mode settings in that app.

That's official update but not through OTA. I sideloaded it. Its a step forward. Try it, it will not void your warranty as the flash files which do can't be flashed on a locked boot loader.

Need a voice recorder that'd record both sides voice. At least audible quality if not the best.
Ok, so I know this isn't the I535 (verizon s3), but I have to ask.
I got the S3 from Straight Talk. It's running CDMA on Verizon. It says CDMA-V right on the box.
Now Ive had the I535 before and it was easy to find ROMS for the beast. But this, this SCH-S968C, I have never seen it and I cant find any
good sources to ROOT it. Or even find ROMs for it.
Any help would be great.
Many thanks! =)

as the post above said cydia impactor will root this phone in about 8 seconds .as far as the roms some people have been able to get the sch-i535 firmware to work but I don't know, all I can tell you is don't use ez unlocker to unlock the bootloader . also before you get to far make yourself the debrick image.otherwise you will be stuck with a hardbrick like me
---------- Post added at 01:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:10 AM ----------
to make the debrick image go into adb shell or terminal emulator
and type this
su
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Unbrick.img bs=4096 count=50000
.p.s. if it works for you could you please send it my way.thanks .
Also backup your IMEI after you root. You must be rooted 1st

to get the unbrick image you will have to have your phone rooted, and superuser installed .then using adb shell(available in the android development tools bundle from google) or terminal emulator(from play store runs on your phone)in whichever you choose .you would the type su hit enter.grant root access .and then type
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/Unbrick.img bs=4096 count=50000

I have the SCH-S968C running on straight talk. I rooted it and installed the CleanRom found here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904329 ) and it told me Insert sim for the longest time. I got a tracfone sim and cut it into the shape of a micro sim. I inserted it into my GS3 and everything works fine. It still says No Service on the notification bar but data, messaging and calling work. Hopefully this helps!

Since the M8 is a "global phone", can I buy a European sim once I get over there, pop it in, and be good to go?
Yes, you can. However, i used to use the ViperRom not the one you mentioned. and it worked fine.

Since you will be on a different carrier I would say yes.
What network and where are you going, I can try and edit a file for you now so that you can just flash it and hopefully you will get the network.
Even though ROMs are multicarrier, they don't support ALL carriers, so I may need to make a few changes to get you data. but I am here for you, as a friend to help. If my ROM turns out to not work well for you, I will help you get set up on another ROM. I don't fight for users. :good:

- this thread should help us out.
However, I feel you should be able to pop that SIM card in and just need to edit the APN and you are good. to. go.

So as I am sure many of you know if you bought the Pixel directly through Verizon, that the newest os is not rootable.
