hey guys,
i want to install a sense 3 rom (e.g. virtuous) but remove rosie launcher completely (and all widgets), but keep the sense apps i like (music, calendar etc)
i've read that i need to delete the .apk's in system/app and replace rosie.apk with launcher pro by renaming it to rosie.apk, so launcher pro will be loaded from the first boot.
so far so good, but there's one thing i like to know:
is it possible to get the music controls on the stock sense 3.0 lockscreen while music is playing?
i don't want to use widgetlocker or another music app just to get the music controls.
is it possible? or is a mod out there for virtuous to skip a track using the volume buttons?

I believe we are looking for the same thing.
In other words, where does HTC hide "music.apk" on the EVO? I can't find it but I know it's there somewhere. I know this because I'm running LauncherPro and can add the Music widget to my home screen. But I have no idea where it's coming from!
In any event, I want to apply the transparent morph to the stock widget, but can't do it until I can locate the .apk
In froyo the htc widget is in /system/app

System/app/music.apk is where you find the android one.
i flashed something and i lost the htc stock clock app and music player. I like the stock clocks i have the widgets but no app. So i was hoping if anyone could send me either or. Thanks

there is the htcmusic apk. as far as the clock goes, do you know the actual name of the apk? the only htc clock i can find in any of the files i have is htc clock widget. let me know if you would like me to upload that one and you can try it.

I'm running ARHD 6.5.0 and I've been using Google Music because it's really good for the battery and it looks nice. My only problem is that I cannot control it from the lockscreen and I thought that a new feature of ICS was that I could control Google Music from the lockscreen. I can always pull down the notification bar and control it from there but that means disabling my passcode. Any suggestions?
Sorry, but the HTC Sense lockscreen is only compatible with the HTC Music app I think.
If you remove the HTC Lockscreen and use the AOSP lockscreen, it'll work. Otherwise I dont think so.
That's pretty stupid. I would use the AOSP lockscreen but I really like the HTC one .

I'm running launcher pro plus.
As long as you have launcher pro plus I'm sure that you can freeze the apps above.
I did it myself and I didn't have any problems.
I also know where Rosie Utility is used for and I blocked it and I turned on [DESKTOP] HTC Sense and I figured out that I couldn't use the lock and weather settings anymore.(lock screen still works only the settings not)
Is it possible to pull the Samsung music widget apk and gallery widget apk and install them on a cm10 ROM, if so can one of you awesome developers get them please

Yea stuff like that need touchwiz framework which obviously cm doesn't have... if it didn't I would like to have some sense widgets but its not possible

That's fine I just noticed the cm10 ROM comes with a gallery widget and as for the music player I just started using the Sony walkman player and I have to say its amazing, all it needs is a working widget, thanks for the heads up guys
