I'm running ARHD 6.5.0 and I've been using Google Music because it's really good for the battery and it looks nice. My only problem is that I cannot control it from the lockscreen and I thought that a new feature of ICS was that I could control Google Music from the lockscreen. I can always pull down the notification bar and control it from there but that means disabling my passcode. Any suggestions?
Sorry, but the HTC Sense lockscreen is only compatible with the HTC Music app I think.
If you remove the HTC Lockscreen and use the AOSP lockscreen, it'll work. Otherwise I dont think so.
That's pretty stupid. I would use the AOSP lockscreen but I really like the HTC one .

I just discovered an app on the market, and was overwhelmed, I was waiting for this, its called music mod lockscreen, and when you play music it allows you to have the music from the lock screen, its similar to mixzing's ultimate. All credits go to the dev. Check it out.

With CM 6 RC2, kmobs lockscreen music controls let you play/pause/ff/rw, but no album art or song display... and eliotstocker is also developing a cool lockscreen with music controls and display (it's not free, but may cost 1 euro)
Personally, I use WidgetLocker lockscreen (it's not free but it's just $1.99), and I can place widgets like the music widget there... it's quite a neat app...
ironic, I also use the widget lockscreen app, for widgets, but can you get kmobs lockscreen, play/pause/fwd...with enoms rom....is there like a flash zip file that allows you have those cotrols on any rom...

This is really the best way to do it since you can put any Music app on there (except for Sense widgets) and mix and match up to 5x4 if you remove the unlock pattern.
Where is the kmobs lockscreen? I've been Searching the forum and Google but can't find it. A link to the thread would be greatly appreciated.

I would love it if somebody was able to come up with a modified version of the HTC lock screen which provides the same music control functionality already present, plus the same or similar capabilities while streaming Pandora radio (artwork display would be great if possible).
I've quite enjoyed this feature upon installing the latest Uncommon Sense ROM (though still no artwork), but I am not a fan of the stock style lock screen. I've also seen the rotary lock screen with music controls for sense, but a) I'm not sure if that controls Pandora or not, and b) I'm not really a fan of that style either. I prefer my current Incredible rEVOlution theme applied over the HTC lock screen and it would be awesome if I could control Pandora with that as well!
Try Widgetlocker with the Htc sense option, and put the pandora widget on the lockscreen, done!
I tried widget locker before and ended up getting a refund for it. I can't remember why, but I imagine it was probably because either A) my revolution theme didn't carry over since it's not technically an HTC lock screen or B) I didn't like having an app always running just for an alternate lock screen, or maybe it was both.
Whatever the reason, I'm afraid to buy it again because I have the feeling I still won't be satisfied with it. I would love this capability in a nice light, integrated package as opposed to the clunky widget locker workaround method.

Well, i using it now, but not with the sence thing..it makes it look weird... but the normal theme is pretty nice.. better then having nothing
So I use Pandora a lot during work. I would like to have a lockscreen widget that would allow me to forward/pause so that I don't have to unlock the phone etc.
I saw an app called Widget Locker that seems to be able to add widgets. Are there any other mods or apps??
I was also thinking about rooting and wasn't sure if any Rom's would give me that functionality.

There are a number of lockscreen apps, Widget Locker is the one I used. Just about any of them support widgets.
I've just disabled though because I don't want to install yet another app for email/SMS counts and WL requires one. The problem I find with Android is that the more you try to replace the manufacturer's UI with better stuff, the buggier it gets. I set up Tasker routines to renable Widget Locker when getting out of my car (because you don't want your lockscreen coming on when you turn off the screen in a car dock), and ever since, Google Music doesn't instantly stop playing when I pull the headphone plug. Too much going on, I figure, so I just disabled Widget Locker and so far so good.
A ROM might, depends on the ROM.
The price of all our freedom is...lack of polish and bugginess.
I use Widget Locker with another widget called Media Buttons. Media Buttons will allow you to control any/most music players. So what you got to do is, with your phone unlocked, launch Pandora and once the music starts playing lock the phone. The MB widget on your lock screen will now control Pandora. Follow the same process for other players on your phone.

Looking for a lockscreen with ALL of the following:
Date and time
AOSP with 4 or 5 way app icons that I can choose
SMS and email counters
SMS and incoming/missed call pop-up notifications
Music player control widget
I have tried many AOSP lockscreens that have some but not all of these features. Currently using Magic Locker with Android 4 free theme. It is pretty nice but has only 4 way app icons, no music player widget, no incoming/missed call pop-up notifications. Have to unlock screen to answer call. Is there an AOSP lockscreen with all the features I want? I once saw the attached 8-way AOSP lockscreen in a rom called Ice Cream Tosti, but never could figure out what it was.
The lockscreen on the aokp rom can be configured to have most of those features

Yeah, the custom lockscreen is a very cool feature in the AOKP rom, but I still want to use Sense 4 roms for now. Hoping someone will turn it into a stand-alone app compatible with Sense roms. :laugh:
