[Q] Captivate in Distress Sound issues - Captivate General

Hi,
My cappy no longer plays sound through the ear piece for phone calls. It works fine when i change it to speaker but nothing on through the front earpiece. Could this be a hardware issue or a modem problem.
Im on mosaic 7 btw

[Q] Incall sound disappeared...

Hello Everyone,
I have been using HTC Sensation for a good 3 months and no problem at all so far. The phone is rooed and uisng Insertcoin 2.4.1 Rom. 3 days ago while in a call, the sound faded away and since then there is some times sound coming from the ear piece sometimes not. Even the call starts succesfully loud and suddenly sound disappears. I have tried everything i know, reflashing, trying another Rom, formatting the SD card and not installing any software etc...During the call, i can communicate if i turn the speaker on or plug in the earphones. I belive that there is a bug that commands the phone to shut the earpiece and divert the sound either to speaker or the earphones.
Anyone ever has/had this kind of problem?
Thanks in advance!
Gokhan

Im having the same Problem, but i observed that the sound doesn't come back randomly, the earpiece speaker seems to shutdown a while after the display gets turned off due to the proximity sensor. I tried different ROMs, and got the same result, i guess it's a hardware problem. Would you tell me, if you get the exact same Problem, meaning you check if sound disappears when you're having it close to the head?
Thank you

[Q] Sound distorted during calls

First of all I am sorry if there is thread with same issue but I couldn't find it.
My problem is not in tinny sound or no sound at all. It is problem that during calls sound from earpiece is distorted and I can't hear clearly what are people saying to me. This distortion is present every time even on speakerphone. On headset sound is clear.
I don't know when exactly that began but it was somewhere around when I S-OFF the phone with AAHK and installed IceColdSandwich.
First I thought it was earpiece and replaced it, but the problem remains. Then I notice that when I turn on speakerphone while headset is plugged in the sound in earpiece is clear. I also tried to play music without headset and noticed that in this case also sound is clear in earpiece. (on speakerphone and when I listen to music sound is also reproduced in earpiece besides loudspeaker on the back of the phone).
So I concluded that it is problem with some mics. Then I noticed that main difference between DHD and Inspire 4G is dual mic (mic near flash) so i then tried several ROMs for Inspire and DHD, with or without inspire mod fix and also stock GB ROM. I also flashed several radios (12.39a.60.19x_26.06.06.30, 12.56.60.25x_26.10.04.03_M, 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M) but no avail.
I think that it seems to be software issue but I don't know what radio or ROM to try.
Did anyone have this issue or knows how ti fix it?

Poor earpiece quality, finding "sweet spot" and hissing

Hi all
Picked up a Nexus 5 recently (latest model latest revisions) and love the phone but am having issues with the earpiece quality.
I have to constantly move the earpiece/headset around to hear the person and find the "sweet spot", or they fade in and out.
Also I notice a hiss at times.
Reception and earpiece quality overall just don't seem good.
I have iPhone 5, galaxy s4, and htc one and none have these issues.
I am on rogers wireless in Montreal.
Does anyone else have these issues ?
Any idea how I can resolve them ?
Some have suggested changing kernel ?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance

I have the same low earpiece volume problem.
So i use my phone a lot for voice calls and here's what I've found:
1) Prior to the android update (in stock 4.4.0) the earpiece in-call volume was ok. However the microphone was bad. Meaning other people always complained that i sound very far off and they couldn't hear me clearly. But I could still make calls without using a headset.
2) After 4.4.2 update, the microphone issue seems to be resolved. People tell me that they can hear me better. However the earpiece in-call volume is much lower than before. I can only hear people if I am in a very quiet room and even then I have to strain.
The only way to use the phone for calls is to use a headset (both wired and bluetooth work). The other day I was using my old Samsung Galaxy S3 for a phone call. The difference in clarity for phone calls is night and day. I had to actually lower the volume of the S3 because it was so loud and clear.
At this point, I am not sure whether it's my Nexus phone and a hardware defect. Could it be something that google did in the 4.4.2 update (meaning fixed the microphone, but lowered the in ear volume). Furthermore using a headset at max volume sometimes distorts the audio.
The funny thing is that with the 4.4.2 update the phone speaker is better and louder. However the earpiece for making calls is just plain lousy. I can't take calls unless I am carrying a headset with me.

Bottom microphone problem

Hello
I've got a problem with the mic on my s7, the one on the bottom of the phone. Few days ago everything was normal, i had good voice quality while talking but now nobody can hear me because the sound is really quiet. When i open up sound recording I hear some stuttering and white noise and I have to talk directly to the mic to hear my voice. The top speaker works perfectly fine btw. I tried to flash different roms and the problem is still there, but now it's quite better than it was before.
Did anybody have similar problem and knows the way to fix it? Or is it possible to turn the top mic as the main one?
I don't want to send it to the service bc I don't have warranty and they can break the screen and then it is expensive to repair.

Can Someone Confirm This?

Whenever I put a call on speaker or during video calls,The other side complains of Not hearing me properly. It is fine with earphones & not on speaker.Anyone facing this problem or can confirm for me? They can hear my voice clearly on Xs Max when on speaker with the same network.
Bump
Had that happen few weeks ago, blow out your phone something with a can of air
