Definitely worth getting as a backup if nothing else!
Bought. Thanks.

I just recently got my sensation, thanks miro, had to get one myself!
Skinomi is tacky, not smooth, makes the screen look fubar, imo. Also they are a wet application that i won't risk on a Sensation, too much risk of moisture getting into the circuits. After a week they get a yellow tint. I had them on my Captivate and they really looked bad, the corners lifted within a day of use, they sent me 4 replacements and the same thing happened to each of them. I finally gave up on them.
I ordered a bunch of the cheap protectors linked on the forums 8 pack for $4, they fit the screen perfect, even the curved edges. I love these over everyone I tried.

Unfortunately those cheaper ones scratch easily and make the screen look bad after just a week or two.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
All screen protectors scratch, @ $.50 each I plan on ordering a ****load of these. I don't care if I put a fresh one on every week. I like that you can't tell there's anything on the screen. My phone is never in a pocket with anything, so it can't scratch there. It's my "precious" so it is handled with care. My Captivate was all beat up with dings in the plastic casing and it was clumsy in my hands and i dropped it often. Not my Sensation, I'be had it over a month and haven't dropped it once.

Nothing can beat the Zagg screen protector. Top of the line quality, nice and smooth and fits perfectly. Easy to apply with very little risk of moisture damage if you follow the instructions.

Is there any good full body protector that is transparent like screen protectors for sensation out?
check ebay or amazon
I've been using a zagg invisibleshield since I got mine about a month ago. Works great and free replacement whenever, just have to pay shipping. Google for a coupon usually they have 20% off
If you want a full body do not get the phantom skin. The back piece sucks, they made it with too much material on the corners and they do not stick down. The screen protector is very good though. I prefer the screen protector they offer over the zagg.
I'm using the Ghost Armor right now and i like it a lot better than Zagg.
Deff do NOT get the phantom skinz, trying to get my money back now.

I'm a big fan of BestSkinsEver. Haven't tried their sensation skin yet, but I've been very pleased with the skins I've purchased in the past. They're totally clear and not cloudy and have the perfect amount of orange peel texture without causing issues sliding my finger on the screen.

Ghost armor doesn't cover the corners at all which is pointless since if you drop the phone, the corners are the areas that get damage. i'm returning my GA, and bought an incipio case instead.

I bought the best skin ever full body skin and they a pain to put on, cause us have to make a soapy solution to get the thing and it can be a mess. The back part is the hardest cuz it comes in 3 pieces

Another vote against Phantom Skinz. I went through 2 trying to get the corners to lay down and nothing works. I mean I sat holding the corners for a couple hours and its a pain in the you know what......waste of money to me. But their screen protectors are awesome!
I had a Best Skins Ever skin on a Nexus S that I had and zero problems installing and getting the corners to stick!.....Probably should've stuck with them....
try sgpstore. out of experiences their body protectors is the easiest to apply and stick easier to the phone body.
anyone ever tried skinomi, they have some awesome wood cover, wonder how's the quality.
What about crewmen guards on Amazon? I figure that because it is only $5 it would be cheap but my friend has it for his gs4g and it seems nice. Just wondering if anyone has expirience with the sensation One. Another question, if anyone has taken the back protected off, does it take the paint off of the back?

I was goign to say Complete Armor off ebay but i think they are now Ghost skins...Made from the same materials used on Helicopter blades in the army..They are the s**t
Ghost Armor™ Sensation skins have been precisely cut to perfectly and invisibly protect your Sensation. Our Sensation wraps provide the same extreme protection that the military helicopter blades, fighter jets' wingtips and the space shuttle's wingtips receive. Without bulk, creases, bubbles, or that orange peel look, Ghost Armor skins provide the Sensation scratch protection you want and need. And remember: our Sensation covers come with a lifetime warranty! Buy Ghost Armor HTC cases online or at one of our kiosks today.

I usually avoid all full body screen protectors. They never do a great job on corners (always some part exposed) and they attract anything thats in your pocket, lint, dust, whatever. Within a week itll be lookin fuzzzy.
But when looking for these you need to look at the fit, try and find some reviews. They ALL say their made from the same material that the military uses to coat their helicopter blades which is awesome but they do wear down over time. Also they really do nothing to absorb shock.
Ive had Zagg, ghost, body and others over the years. They make the best screen protectors hands down but full body nothing great. If you do get a full body look up a company that installs them locally, woodfield mall by me has kiosks that professionally install Zagg and i believe Ghost Armour. Thats your best bet cause the hardest part is applying them properly and if they do it for $5 more you can always bring it back when it falls off and have them put on a new one for just $5 more
just my $.02
Sorry about that, I meant to say xtreme guards in my original post... Autocorrect well u all know how it is

Too many fingerprints. Too much oil. Inhibits the use of Trace keyboard. Have to be wiping it down multiple times per day. Sticky, rubbery feeling. I'm done with Zagg InvisibleShield. I will never buy one again.
Sigh....now that my rant is over, does XDA have any suggestions for a better screen protector?
I'm looking for a very thin, unnoticed-type of screen protector. I don't want one that significantly alters the look and feel of my HTC Sensation 4G screen.
I don't need a screen protector that is heavy duty or anything like that, I'm more worried about feel and screen distortion as opposed to screen protection (I never put sharp objects to the screen of my phone )
Anti-fingerprint preferred. Well-known company preferred.
Any help or information will be greatly appreciated, and I'll be giving out thanks to all that help. Thanks XDA!
The solution to your problem is Skinomi.
It's very perfect. No yellow-ish tint. No sticky surface. No fingerprints.
It has the same installation method as Zagg.
Give it a try.
+1 for Skinomi. Have had it on my last three devices. Screen still feels like glass and it doesn't smudge nearly as bad. Much easier to apply than the Zagg as well. Protector is a much more stiff so its easy to place properly. When done well, hard to tell its even there!
If you buy on Amazon there are a bit cheaper. Think I paid $8 for mine. Or if you use the skinomi site, use skinomi25 for 25% off at checkout.
Skinomi?
I have never heard of them before. Is it kind of like a "barely-there" type of screen protector?
EDIT:
Their TechSkin looks like the same kind of stuff that Zagg InvisibleShield is made up of, but I'm sure I'm wrong.
I'll have to check it out.
I would say that it provides the same amount of protection as the zagg just doesn't have the tacky feel to it. Also much easier to install. To me the zagg always seemed 'floppy' and hard to place well. The skinomi is a bit more stiff. Try them out, I'm sure you'll like it!

lol, that's true. seems like a "scratch auto-repair" screen protector. WTF
You guys managed to scratch yours?
The only thing I've ever noticed are small dimple like impressions on it from things pressing up against it. Usually works itself out in a day or two.

I'll have to check out skinomi. I've been using bestskinsever as they're quite cheap, but the replies here have me second-guessing that choice.
Update: I bought BSE and Skinomi.
Currently I have the BSE on until it pisses me off. Definitely better than ZAGG, but I'm tempted to put on that Skinomi TechSkin that has been sitting in its package.
Do you recommend Skinomi TechSkin or DryTech?
I have ishieldz, its great no problem for 3 months now? Has warrenty if it scratches
Had my One S since last Wednesday and although I'm not in a hurry to get a case for this sexy beast I DO want to get a screen protector on it because it's a bit too glossy for me, I'd like something to tone it down just a bit and also protect it a little.
So, any recommendations? I've seen several good comments about the official HTC screen protectors but was wanting to get feedback from those who have actually purchased, received and are using a screen protector.
Thanks!
I am using the Zagg Dry (the ones that u don't have to spray stuff everywhere) protectors that come for a front and back protector. Seems to go very well and gives good grip.

I always go for HTC official protector, reason is very simple, it fits perfectly. I mean perfectly, literally, perfectly.
And they are very clear and not easily damaged.
Only down side I can think about is the installation. Cos it fits so perfectly, it makes the installation bot difficult, you have to be very patient to do it, but definitely possible.
BTW, yes, I have official one on my one s, and I love it.
And, no need to go to Expansys or other websites which are really expensive, eBay will just do, less than £5.

well worth it
htc official protector for me as well. More expensive but you can really slide the fingers on it and it fits ideally. No cheap stuff

i bought the one like "azzledazzle" too.(sr first post and can"t post other links).I am in Berlin now, at ebay.de they said the good is in Berlin but i waited for 4 days till it came.and on the Bill it says come from UK lol.
btw this one is good, cheap, but hard to press (power and volume)
the screen protector ist good too.
I was using the one they sell at the T-Mobile store and it worked quite nice. Only complaint is that my D30 case peeled it up in the corners so I took it off. That was most likely from me putting it on weird though.

I have the same combo and initially had the peeling problem, too. Try pushing the screen protector away from the side where it's peeling. That worked for me.

does the t-mobile screen protector offer a smooth surface to touch? I am used to SGP's screen protectors which smooth as hell. Right now I am deciding on the t-mobile ones or the Realook ones

Smooth as the original screen...I don't experience any difference.
$30.00 Zagg dry for me. Watch out when you put the front protector on. It needs to be done withe the phone sitting upside down, your ear piece needs to be facing you. I recommend you do this with your phone off.
When I did mine and answered a txt while doing the front and ended up setting the phone down on the desk right side up. And now the front screen protector is on up side down. Still works though.

Zagg InvisibleShield is junk when you compare it to BestSkinsEver and Skinomi TechSkin.
I'm going to assume that you've never tried BSE or Skinomi, because you would agree with my assessment if you did.
I've tried using Zagg with my other phone after 3 months of using it, it turns yellow in color and started to peel off
I've wasted $30 I didn't even use its warranty don't buy Zagg it's not worth it especially for our Sensation
If yours yellowed and pealed then it wasn't put on properly. I have put them on dozens of devices and have had some on for years. I just got tired of the rubbery drag feel you get with them so stopped using them. I have a skinomi on the way and am excited to try it out from what I've heard.
If you use the invisishields properly the offer great protection and hold up very well over time. Sadly I just can't stand the feel. I'd rather use cheap plastic protectors for the smooth feel and have to replace them every couple of months.
go with skinomi. been using it since november last year. full fits the screen.
Just wondering if you use one or not on the GS3. My first GS3 didn't have one on it, and it magically gained 3 large scratches in the screen (always was left in a pocket alone, nothing else). I had one on my 2nd GS3, but I am now on my 3rd (2nd one had dead pixels) and wondering if I should just rough it out without one, or get one again.
Also if you got one, where from, and how do you like it?
Thanks
I got one from my bro so i dont know what brand it is. But i can tell you it came in a pack of like 3 and it sucks. Rainbow affect ruins the screens potential. Look like its kinda snowy and the feel isnt nice

After looking at this, I think I will buy some. Thanks for the recommendation!
Screen protectors are more trouble than their worth in almost all cases. If you manage to get it on without putting absolutely hideous bubbles on the screen, then you'll be left with something that just makes the screen "rainbowy" and terrible looking. Second skin doesn't do this but then it makes the screen rubbery and grippy feeling, not smooth like it should be. Protectors also seem to enhance fingerprints making them highly visible. Scratches? I wouldn't worry too much about that with gorilla glass 2 - http://youtu.be/wT8xI4PEU8c

Well this guy's doing some ridiculous stuff and no problems. Just sayin. Minor scratches are to be expected from anything. Screen protectors to me are annoying and take away from the experience of the device.

I've used the SGP Ultra Nanos and don't like them. Within a month quite a lot had peeled away from the phone. I think this is going to be an issue with all thin film protectors that the industry seems to prefer with this model (slightly curved display surface).
I purchased an XGear Spectre and really like it. It's a tempered glass surface. Very easy to mount and hasn't peeled or scratched despite subjecting it to the same rigors as my previous SGP Ultra Nano. Nor do I expect it to peel in the future because it's pretty think (0.4 mm) and rigid. Apparently it's think enough that it doesn't fit all cases (I don't use a case). The field of view is essentially unaffected and the glass has excellent optics. At $35 with shipping, it's definitely more of than investment than thin film protectors, but I consider it a good value given the advantages.
I got the ones from samsung at the verizion store when i got my phone (the first day they had them or second)
The dude put on the first one for me and still looks great barley tell its there and its custom fit to phone
Price tag is 14 bucks but he gave it to me and it did go on very nicely no bubbles or discoloring
I don't use one, I'm just careful not to put anything in the same pocket that could scratch it
Same I use the one from the Verizon store 12 bucks, it didn't effect the viewing, it's a dry install and almost no bubbles when done, and you get 3.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I put on 20 of the verizon ones everyday. Done correctly there are no bubbles, no lint and hold up well. Seeing all the hideous home jobs applications, the glossy texture of zags and the anti glare versions I can see why they get a bad rap.
I wouldn't go without one.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
yeah, i've got a plain clear verizon one on mine.....actually it was the Cellet Screen Guard..just took it from my store. i put a million on a day, too, so i'm really good at it. i never ever get bubbles or dust. just gotta know how to do it!
also, you guys getting the grainy and rainbow effects, it's because you're using anti-glare protectors. they suck. the clear ones are better.
