Had my One S since last Wednesday and although I'm not in a hurry to get a case for this sexy beast I DO want to get a screen protector on it because it's a bit too glossy for me, I'd like something to tone it down just a bit and also protect it a little.
So, any recommendations? I've seen several good comments about the official HTC screen protectors but was wanting to get feedback from those who have actually purchased, received and are using a screen protector.
Thanks!
I am using the Zagg Dry (the ones that u don't have to spray stuff everywhere) protectors that come for a front and back protector. Seems to go very well and gives good grip.

I always go for HTC official protector, reason is very simple, it fits perfectly. I mean perfectly, literally, perfectly.
And they are very clear and not easily damaged.
Only down side I can think about is the installation. Cos it fits so perfectly, it makes the installation bot difficult, you have to be very patient to do it, but definitely possible.
BTW, yes, I have official one on my one s, and I love it.
And, no need to go to Expansys or other websites which are really expensive, eBay will just do, less than £5.

Do you have any type of case? Was thinking of getting the Cruzerlite clear case and using it with the official HTC screen protector but I want to make sure both fit correctly together.

it fitted perfectly.. Its so cheap and it does the job
well worth it
htc official protector for me as well. More expensive but you can really slide the fingers on it and it fits ideally. No cheap stuff

Yes, have normal tpu case on. They work well together. Never had the Cruzerlite one but it should be ok I assume. It's a normal shape tpu case right?

i bought the one like "azzledazzle" too.(sr first post and can"t post other links).I am in Berlin now, at ebay.de they said the good is in Berlin but i waited for 4 days till it came.and on the Bill it says come from UK lol.
btw this one is good, cheap, but hard to press (power and volume)
the screen protector ist good too.
I was using the one they sell at the T-Mobile store and it worked quite nice. Only complaint is that my D30 case peeled it up in the corners so I took it off. That was most likely from me putting it on weird though.

I have the same combo and initially had the peeling problem, too. Try pushing the screen protector away from the side where it's peeling. That worked for me.

Smooth as the original screen...I don't experience any difference.
$30.00 Zagg dry for me. Watch out when you put the front protector on. It needs to be done withe the phone sitting upside down, your ear piece needs to be facing you. I recommend you do this with your phone off.
When I did mine and answered a txt while doing the front and ended up setting the phone down on the desk right side up. And now the front screen protector is on up side down. Still works though.

just got in the mail couple of minutes ok. Great purchase, very light and tight on the phone , like OP said comes with a screen protector (which am not using) and a cloth to wipe your screen down , which leave it like new too
It acually comes off without a struggle too, which it seems a lot of these style cases lack. Cheers

Just ordered as well. I've been using OtterBox for my T-Mobile G2, but the tab attaching the front piece to the phone on OtterBox case is broken. We'll see how well case-mate case holds up.
Still a little pricey for me, the rubber ones one ebay have the same rubbery feel and also look and protect the same for less then $5. Just my opinion though
how rubbery is it? The original case I bought from Tmobile would get stuck in my pocket when I would try and pull it out. Now I am rocking a clear case but one of the tabs recently broke so I am looking for another
Its not rubbery to the point that its hard to take out of pocket, just feels nice in the hand, and not as slippery as a gloss finish.
Spending $20 bucks to adequately protect a device that costs $500 out of contract is well worth it imo.
Like I said, I reccomend it to the people not interested in wading through the waves of ebay garbage for $1.99

like the name says this case is really light, but protects your phone well
I've got my DZ with the Barely There case for about a month now, and I'm very happy with it. You don't even notice the screen protector, and the case itself doesn't make your phone look like a new refridgerator, but it does make your phone feel like it's sturdy enough to survive an accidental drop on the ground.
I recommend the CM BT case to every DZ user
Can this be store bought? I've been looking for a Screen protector that includes a case!
I was actually not aware of this brand (Case-Mate) before, and was therefor very surprised to see that the case i bought for 5$ in a little Chinese shop in manhattan looks 99% the same (only difference i could see is the hole on top right corner of the back, as i've seen in several other cases, but not mine.)
i think for 1/4 of the price, its well worth it
Thanks for the pics bro

Really now?
Here are some pictures of the gel skin sold at Tmobile.
PRO'S: Case serves great protection and style as well.
The black color is really nice, compliments the color of the phone.
Its a silicone case, very flexible, that is textured. It is also really easy to install.
The bulk that it adds is very minimal.
CONS: One in particular is that if you like the ease of just pulling it out of your,
the whole case grabs onto the inside of your pocket, pulling the pocket inside-out.
OVERALL:: Overall, I recommend this case to anyone that is looking for some
great protection, with very little bulk adding to the phone.
Attached: Here are some pictures of the gel skin sold at T-Mobile.

I also got the screen protectors. Clear type like I like and if put on correctly they adhere 100% no bubbles or air gaps.
The gel skin is a good case until otterbox decides to make a case for it. The screen protector is garbage. I had finger scratching on the screen protector before I left the store. But it will have to do until the zagg screens are out.

Really nice find man. Ordering one right now, thanks!
I just got the T-mobile screen protectors. Not bad.
I had the rep at T-mobile put it on, figure if she screwed up she'd give me a free one or something. She had already done a few Sensations and I must say she did a good job. Better I know then if I tried it. There are just a few tiny bubbles that I think I can work out, not really noticeable. She did throw in an extra free one because she bad that she slightly scratched the protector trying to get one of the bubbles out. I can't even really see it. So overall a happy experience.
My Body Glove case is being sent to my home now - so that should be an all together different but interesting experience!
Here's a quick video I put up of the official T-Mobile gel case:

It's a pretty nice case, just very, very linty. :/
I ordered the PhantomSkinz Matt full body skin.

I have one installed on mine, and it's very nice. Very little "orange peel" (compared to the Zagg), and it's a slick non-sticky surface (much better than the Zagg).
I prefer Zagg, skinomi is great but it gets dinged up real easy and my tpu case made it peel up. Zagg is a stronger protector with better adhesive. Both are extremely clear. Take your pick I guess. They are both good.

The skin is on. There isn't much to see on the front of the phone as the carbon fiber skin only come up around the top. Basically, if you take off the back cover, that part gets wrapped in the sticker. I've attached some photos of the phone with a piece of real carbon fiber, 6K twill weave.

I got the invisishield I love it fits so much better than the ones at t-mobile
The ones I have tried are the "dry" application type and because of the way the screen is curved it seems to peel up on the edges constantly, and having a case on just worsens the situation. Do the wet application protectors work better? Like Invisible shield? What have you guys foound that works well and stay putt especially on the sides?
My Zagg is working great. I have the front and back covered with it. No peeling at all and really nice.

I just put the XOSkin on mine and I really really like it. Very easy to put on, is totally invisible and covers the whole screen. Since it covers the entire screen, you literally cannot tell there is a protector on it. Absolutely no bubbles, bumps or streaks. Easily the best I've ever used.
Would any of you who have either the XOSkin or the Skinomi be able to tell me if the full body skin covers the glossy sides of the body? I've seen some that only come up to the lip of the matte and not all the way around, so I am trying to figure if either of these do. Thanks!
Sorry, mine is screen only.
Xoskin full body doesn't protect glossy sides

Didn't like the AT&T one because it was anti glare or something . Not completely clear. The new dry zagg is ok. If you use any case that overlaps the glass it will lift the zagg up. My favorite was the one that came with my nillken. Left a little area on the edge of the glass unprotected so all of my cases worked fine.
Have always used "bestskinsever" on all my devices. So much cheaper than the others and quality is great.
Used Skninomi and wasn't too impressed. I used this eBay seller before getting a screen protector for my GS II Skyrocket. They are selling a three-pack for less than $2 and the quality is awesome

I've got the Zagg HD on the front and the Zagg standard on the back. It's a great combination. Even though it doesn't cover the entire glass section of the phone it's still completely invisible, no orange peel, and works great with cases. Honestly I feel that this setup with a case is better than any other method of protection for this phone.

The screen protector is remarkably easy to pop out. I also used some duct tape to remove the residual adhesive left over off the inside of the plastic frame. After that you are free to use any screen protector you like.

GG2 was just an improvement on it's structural strength, meaning they can make them thinner. It's still the same material, and Corning states that it just "maintains" its durability though being thinner, not that it's any more resistant to scratches.

But whatever man, to each his own. You do whatever you want with your phone. I just think it's misleading to tell everyone that the glass is indestructible when it's not.
Also, keys really can't scratch any modern glass used on smartphones. Here's a video of the Galaxy Nexus (which does not have GG) and the key doesn't do anything either.

The "hammer" demo is pretty cool though.
yuk!
That is most certainly the ugliest phone case i have ever seen. most of these cases make the streamline HTC devices look like pieces of crap. I'm certain that HTC didn't work on slimming down the device so you can bulk it up again by inserting it into that ugly block of rubbery ****.
no case, no screen protector.
I run a "phone pocket" , i just choose a pants or shirt pocket, and the which ever one i put it in, the phone rides solo, no keys, no coins, co cards .. just the phone. That keeps it sweet and it still looks premo.
Yeah but it's good protection from dropping it and possible other way of damaging it
