How is that of freezing the apps. Let me know. Thanks!

Just get Titanium backup will need the paid version with that you can delete apps also freeze them so they can not run also gives option to move apps to your sd card
Here is a link to a site where it tells you what apps you can remove.

Should I root my x10i now or wait?

Okay my question is simple, should I root my x10 now or wait for the 2.1 SE update.
Also does anybody have any info about the boot loader, I've seen various posts saying its been cracked, has it? And if not any idea how long before it is?
Thanks

Would like to expand a little upon this thread. I am at the same position as OP was, and my only concern is that I heard some apps in the market are not available for rooted phone (instead of the other way around) due to some protection coding. Is that true? Are there any major apps that are particularly note worthy?

I haven't had any problems since my root, phone if anything works better, google and download an app called x10 root, this will root your phone without all the fuss. If you want to undo the root install universal androot and unroot it. They are not on the market though.
Hope this helps bud

Beware if you root be careful what you uninstall as some apps eg media and timescape are linked into the functionality of the phone.
Sent my rooted X10i using XDA app
Like above said, be careful what you remove. Titanium backup is what I used. Freeze stuff first to test.
First root I did i killed timescape, gave me no end of problems.

[Q] Stock rooted and crap removed

I would like someone to please point out where i can get just a stock rooted , clean of att navigator and crap, and new att radio . No other addons you know
Like stock but everything a custom rom can do is this possible is it out there
Try ClearDroid. It's basically the stock Inspire ROM with as much of AT&T removed as possible.
Is this pretty stable
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
This is stock with hsupa, sideloading enabled. I've been using quite a while with no issues.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965634
After loading this rom, load Titanium backup to remove the bloat.
How do you know what to remove bloat I mean

I don't understand the question. You have a goal of removing bloat, but you don't know what the bloat apps are?
The bloat I removed:
all at&t apps
blockbuster
asphalt 5
yellowpages
You can use Titanium backup to first "freeze" the bloat. That way you can tell if removing them will harm the phone's functioning. If you freeze an app and your phone works ok, then you can go ahead and fully delete it.
You answered my question sorry auto correct slaughtered what I was typing thanks

[Q] Help Unrooting Please

I need some advice, I am considering unrooting because I want to sell my G2x because I am not fond of it anymore. I tried to unroot now, using the unlocker website that works in tandem with this forum. I still see Super User on my phone. I watched the video, and followed every set of the directions. What is going on with my phone?
Why would you want to unroot? I mean the buyer ( if you sell it ) probably wont even know? Just delete superuser

I might be selling it off to one of those websites that buys phones because I found one that might give $180.
SuperUser still shows up as a random APK image, not like the pirate logo. It shows a generic Android icon. I can only freeze super user. The app I downloaded to show root access is present or not says my phone is not rooted. I just am stuck in the LG-P999 Stock Af rom. I don't want Froyo anymore, I prefer going to Gingerbread for the sake of selling my phone.

[Q] Titanium Back Up - Striked out Apps

Hi guys. I am new to rooting, and finally took the plunge and rooted my LG Thrill. the main reason I rooted was to get hotspot access as well as freeze bloatware. I doubt I will ever use a custom rom.
With that said, after rooting with Megatron, I used Titanium backup to backup apps and to freeze a few.
My question is this: I have a short list at the bottom of my apps (8) that are striked out. The list is below.
1) What are these?
2) Can I remove them under REMOVE ORPHAN DATA without any ill effects?
3) Are these parts of frozen apps?
I haven't been able to find much info on these.

I truly appreciate all the help I have received from this forum...although I haven't posted much, I have read quite a bit and all of your posts have helped me immensely.
Thanks again!
The ones with the lines through them are just apps that have been backed up but are not on your phone anymore or are frozen

That's where u am confused. these were immediately there. Right after root, I installed Titanium Backup and those showed up strikes. I didn't make changes that I know of.

Not sure what you mean? This is the only phone I have rooted and used Titanium with.
I would like to use the function to "Remove Orphan Data", but don't want to mess anything up.
It shows them as No backup yet...but doesn't seem to be a way to back them up...probably because it thinks these were old apps.
Can suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated!

I don't see how they could be things that are not on the phone anymore as I did the backup, then froze a couple of apps and haven't removed anything.
You mention that these could be from frozen apps too...so if there was something that couldn't get backed up, then I froze it, these could be from those frozen programs?
So in practice, if I were to unfreeze my apps, I should see those strikes removed????
Yes
