I would like someone to please point out where i can get just a stock rooted , clean of att navigator and crap, and new att radio . No other addons you know
Like stock but everything a custom rom can do is this possible is it out there
Try ClearDroid. It's basically the stock Inspire ROM with as much of AT&T removed as possible.
Is this pretty stable

This is stock with hsupa, sideloading enabled. I've been using quite a while with no issues.

After loading this rom, load Titanium backup to remove the bloat.

I don't understand the question. You have a goal of removing bloat, but you don't know what the bloat apps are?
The bloat I removed:
all at&t apps
blockbuster
asphalt 5
yellowpages
You can use Titanium backup to first "freeze" the bloat. That way you can tell if removing them will harm the phone's functioning. If you freeze an app and your phone works ok, then you can go ahead and fully delete it.
You answered my question sorry auto correct slaughtered what I was typing thanks

I've heard about this tool but I've never used it. Seems a bit complicated in that you have to flash stuff before flashing rom, and after. Also once you run the program everything is gone completely. I like having control using root explorer to either move or delete the files that way if something does go wrong I just add it back onto my phone and change the permissions. Maybe it's just a lack of knowledge.

Hi,
It's a lot easier than it seems, and speeds the installation process up.
Perhaps , it's not for everyone, but the [OP] stated removing bloatware ,which it does in seconds.
It takes a while to configure the initial user text file, but once you have done it, you don't ever have to do it again.
And you only have to run it once after flashing the ROM.
It takes 30 seconds to run.
How do I know which particular bloatwares to remove? I'm new to android. Less than a week old.

Hi,
Have a look at what is included in a basic ROM,by looking at THIS USER TEXT FILE.
You will also see guide alongside it showing what each one does.
Make sure you have notepad++(google it).
I have tried all I can but still can do the bloatware removal. I have rooted, enabled SU and I have installed root explorer but I don't know what to do now. The root explorer gives make access to the ROM but I don't know what to remove and how to remove it.

Root explore goto system/app then remove what you want.be careful though don't remove anything bad
Nexus S 4G using miui.us with matr1x kernal 9.0 and batttweak RC1
I have a Motorola Photon and I want to keep the diagnostic app for Sprint and the voicemail app, and I want to get rid of the camcorder beep sound everytime I start and close the program. Any input would be appreciated, thank you.
Just upgraded from the Infuse and HOLY CRAP what a difference. The Infuse, in some ways was really a misstep for Sammy. Hardware just didn't really work well. Anyway...
Looking through ROMs I was hoping to find a stock ICS where someone had pulled out the bloat. I didn't see it, but I may have missed it.
Thanks, and glad to have switched forums! Ha.

Agreed - it's a good ROM if you are looking for something close to stock with options. Only a few small issues of stability so far.
Root the stock ROM then debloat (disable apps first) yourself
would agree about embryo. stock, debloated.. unless you choose to add it. he built in a nice rom customizer as well. personally, didnt have any problems with it.

Just root and install Titanium Backup. There should be a freeze list in one of the stickies. You do not have to install a different rom at all.
I recommend that you just freeze the apps. If you uninstall them, you will have to reflash your phone with the stock rom if you want to send to Sammy or take it back to AT&T...
You can also just make a complete TiBU of the entire phone and save on your computer then restore them when you want to get rid of the phone in a legit way...

No need for a titanium backup or anything...I just disable an app (like yahoo finance or whatever crap) from all apps section in settings ..then I delete the .apk file from /system/app (and the .odex if the rom is not deodexed)..After any debloat you will have to flash the whole stock rom anyway if you get a big system problem (or restore a nandroid if you made a backup .. Which I hugely advice to do before messing with the phone)
Quick question:
Is there a sense rom that is based off the at&t ota with all of the at&t apps taken out? CR6 is nice, but it leaves out all the themes and such. Just wondering

Probably HTC's themes.
OP there's a stock rooted rom that you can flash. You can use titanium backup to remove all the bloatware.

Thanks for all the responses. I appreciate it. I can use titanium backup to remove the bloat? How so? And, yes, to answer a question about what themes, I'm referring to HTC's themes.

Thanks for the link, but this doesn't really help me much being I'm not very interested in the viper rom. I did look up some info on the titanium app. I'm assuming bloatware can be eliminated through the "freezing" capability?

Hello.
I rooted and installed official ICS android on my phone. My phone is originally Rogers, but the ICS version is AT&T. It's official but never release to public or whatever who knows.
So it came with all AT&T bloatware but I was able to disable all except one...
AT&T address book.
Everytime I open my phone contacts this stupid app opens first! It takes like 4 seconds to load then I have to hit OK before I can view my regular android contacts.
I go to apps but DISABLE is grayed out.
What can I do? I am rooted but this is grayed out? Makes no sense?
nobody knows how to do this???
get titanium back up since ur rooted you can go in and delete all the bloat ware

Titanium backup free version does not freeze apps.
also I am rooted why should I need a program? I was able to disable every app I wanted to in my app settings except this one.
just search any root app remover..... there is alot of them to pick from

Well,, it depends on what the apps u want to delete. As long as they're not sync each other with your phone system, it's fine to delete them. But if you delete even a wrong single app, u could end up with spamming error messages, or the worst u have to change ur current ROM into a new one because of the damage. I suggest u to really really be careful and do it with some knowledges..

Just got my S3 today.
Rooted it when I walked in the door.
I'm not new at all to rooting but I was wondering if using ROM toolbox was safe to use for removing Verizon's bloat from the stock ROM.
I'm trying to just stay stock here...

I know for a fact that Titanium Backup works, used it the other day. I can't think of any reason Rom Toolbox wouldn't though
I just used Rom Toolbox to uninstall a system apk. (Only a wallpaper apk) bit o it worked. I usually use TiBu.

Does anyone know if someone has posted the stock 4.1.2 OTA ROM without the bloat? Or should I do this?
