Hi. When I try to use shoot me I get this error
"Failed starting server. Please check that you have **root ** on your device and enabled access to the lower level Graphics"
Gave it root permission, so it's something about lower lever graphics.
Thanks in advance
P.S got cm7

You can send it to me and I'll do it. Lol but seriously, why do you want to do that?!

i wanted to do more things with it....what would the hacking do for it? im new to this
Brick = your phone is broken, ****ed, dead...why would you want to destroy a phone?
New to this or not, there are guides for everything under the sun..just take 5 minutes and try to find them yourself..the world is so lazy

i had bo clue i just hada couple buddys tell me about this and i dont understand what i could do if i hacked it...like what are the results?
I think its best that you don't try 'hack' it. It mightn't turn out the best for you. What you can do by 'hacking' it is installing custom ROM's and accessing and have the ability to write protected /system files.

Anyone know how to get this game to work? It won't work for our device for some reason. Anyone know a way to make it work?

I only ask b/c I noticed when I go to Market, it believes I have a Sensation XE after I downloaded Revolution. Is there way to make Market think I have a Nexus S or SII or something like that?
Bump

You have to be rooted to do this.
open your build.prop file (in system) and look for..
ro.product.model=(Insert new device name here) -- I found this entry twice on my Sensation (ARHD 4.1.7)
ro.product.manufacture=(insert the manufacture's name)
If you choose a phone model compatible with the app then you should be able to download it.
Make sure you make a nandroid back up!

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunatley, I do not see /system folder under ES File Manager. I'm running the latest version of Revolution.
You need to be rooted and have ticked the root explorer option and mount system

Strange. That is what I gathered from reading the forums but I don't see the folder. I confirmed I had root as well. I'm so bummed and annoyed that I care about this game!
Have you changed the home root to just '/'

Okay...I found it. How do I edit it? I used QuickOffice but the file wouldn't save. Also, I only saw the ro.device/manufacturer listed once. And it also said I have a HTC Pyramid?

Use Root Explorer (Easiest), Terminal (with VI, only if you know VI though), Notepad++ (on a PC)..
Keep looking, it should be there somewhere.
And I used ES note editor

Thanks, I was able to make the changes and save it, but I'm not sure if it worked. I could not see We Rule in Android Market.
However...on Market when I go on it with my computer, it says "this app is not compatible with your TMobile Samsung Nexus S"
So you can download it?

No, I cannot download it. Not sure why b/c I was able to when I did have a Nexus S. On a side note, before the market was more developed, I was able to download We Rule from teh market but after signing in and loading, I would get a message saying the game was incompatible with my phone. I'm wondering if it's because we do not have a device w/ Tegra 2?

Did it say why it was incompatible? you need to press the small + icon when you are browsing the market on your computer.
"We Rule is currently not available on your device. We're working hard to make the game accessible to everyone. Please check back soon, and try other Mobage games in the meantime."
The + button says "T-Mobile HTC HTC Sensation 4G
This item is not compatible with your device."
Bummer.
We Rule was updated today and still does not work for the HTC Sensation.
I've downloaded the game I really love but from time to time it won't open it says something about my device is rooted so it closes I tried to temp unroot in superuser but I'd doesn't work all the time.
Did anybody else encounter this issue?
Is there any way I can trick the app into thinking that I'm not rooted?
thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about the problem.. 9 innings is the best baseball game IMO.
What ROM are you running? Stock?
I'm running CM10 and haven't had this issue.. in fact I've never had that happen with a free game...
Maybe I can share my backup apk file and see if that works for ya...
wow Ive never even heard of this. Why would a game dev care if the phone is rooted? Put a bad review about it on the Play Store and Im sure it will get some attention then maybe even get a fix.
i'm having the same issue on the latest synergy rom, was very disappointed and left 1 star with a very negative remark to com... something along the lines who are they to tell me i can or can't have my phone rooted and shame on them for making a game that checks if it is or not
I'm running beans build 8

I'm also having the same issue. I'm trying to see if renaming superuser.apk temporarily might fix the problem, but I can't seem to find the app in /system/app
Any idea where the heck it is??
Same here on Helly Bean .
Edit: solved this by using SuperSU and in settings un-checking enable superuser

I did this and still get the root message... Did you do anything else to bypass it?
Have you messed with your hosts file or have ad blocking software installed? I've run into a couple of free apps that disable themselves in those situations.
Look at it from the dev's perspective; they make money on the ad revenue. When you go root it gives you really easy ways of preventing that revenue stream.

I had to go to /system/app and rename Superuser.Apk to Superuser.old to disable other super user app then run SuperSu and uncheck enable root then run 9 innings

I'm running a dell latitude d400 winxp I installed Ubuntu10.04 and got pae errors so after a week I have up. Now I'm tying peppermint3 on USB drive and it's giving me the error "hdio_get_identity failed for '/dev/sdb': invalid argument
General error mounting file systems.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
Control-d will terminate this shell and reboot the system.

And then I can enter anything. As it takes like4 hours to download another ISO file I'd prefer a fix if possible. I tried google and I couldn't find any answers just possible problems. Please help thank you!
