That happened to me at first and I found that I didn't have my build.prop the exact way that it should be. So check your build.prop out!

I made it very VERY clear at the beginning of the video that you should only follow these instructions if you are on a STOCK ROOTED Rom. I don't know how to do it on any Rom besides that

Could you post a video on how to properly wipe google wallet to save your secure element in the event you want to flash another ROM?
Hey, appreciate the video.
I'm on a stock rooted rom, but when trying to open the build prop in text editor as you did, a pop up message appears saying "Warning: You cannot edit this file because the file system is read-only."
At the top of root explorer you shoold see a button that says "mount r/w" . Tap that button and problem solved

After installing the wallet, build.prop file should be restored to original? Or leave it?

I would just leave it. I dont see why you wouldn't , I mean the build prop that you changed it to is the sprint galaxy s 3, so the only difference is that there are less blocked apps

My ultimate question is this, I am rooted only. My bootloader is not unlocked and with the exception of root, all is stock. Will these directions work for me or do I have to install a rom?

You need a custom recovery to flash the files so you must unlock first. [Assuming you're on Verizon] Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mmmeff.ez.unlock and click unlock. You're now unlocked. To install a custom recovery, download GooManager or Rom Manager and allow the app to install the custom recovery of your choice (TWRP or Clockworkmod). Then you're set to install Google Wallet.
I still can't manage to add a card to the wallet
Hey XDA! My brother and I are having a problem with his Verizon GS3. After a fight with it we finally got it completely rooted (we rooted it while he was running 4.1.1 stock) . Every time we try to flash a ROM the phone does it and then during boot up it gives an error message. Something along the lines of "unauthorized software has been detected. Please go to your nearest Verizon store to restore your device." not exactly what it says but close to that (I don't have it in front of me right now). Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Boot loader was locked upon ROM flash.
Vzw ez unlock for Verizon galaxy s3 will unlock it.
If you can not find in play store.
Google it and you can download and place on SD card to install the app that way.
Make sure you are rooted

Isn't the boot loader unlocked in the first step? The boot up screen with the Samsung logo has the unlocked symbol on it. Sorry for the dumb questions, the only device I've rooted is my Galaxy Nexus and that was a breeze.

No its still locked use the ezunlock and it should let you flash a rom.
It really is. Hopefully when the X-Phone comes out it will be easy like the Nexus. Rooting the GS3 has been such a nuisance. Thanks for the help everyone! I'll report back with how it goes.

So ezunlock is no longer available on the play store apparently. Every link that was supposed to take me there didn't work, just says it "We're sorry, the requested URL was not found on this server." Any other apps that I could use?
Hopefully this works. Threw the apk up in my drive. I'm not going to leave it there long, so grab it quick. Make sure to allow installs from unknown sources in developer settings.
Removed URL
Post here when you have it.
Edit: Removed the URL since I'm not going to leave it up all night. Google ezunlock, it's literally the first link you see.

I recently found this app online https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lcis.seeder called Seeder which says that it removes the lag from an android smartphone. The problem is that since I'm on JB and my sdcard is kinda old for now I can't root which means I can't test it.
Is someone here who has tested this app? Is this working ?
thanks!

Are you asking about Atrix2 or Nexus7?
Brought to you by time and relative dimensions in space.
I am asking about the problem of my Atrix 2. Since I have a problem, I need to use my Nexus to post this question.
Wipe dalvik and cache after installing rom and gapps, then boot up the rom. Not sure if it will solve it, but wont hurt to try

OK. Just making sure since a malfunctioning play store shouldn't render the phone unusable. You could try going to settings/apps/ and clear data for the playstore. If that doesn't work then -->-->-->-->-->

CM9 is Custom ROM which same like ICS. I can install BBM, but it always stopped. Maybe the Dev in this forum can fix this problem.

the BBM app have been delayed because the app leak have efficted the BBM network badly as BB says in their blog
so whatever app you are installing is for sure a fake app and they r soo much around the market so DONT DOWNLOAD THEM
subscribe to BB news letter to give u the update when it's released you can google that!
i advise u to remove these apps and wait till it's released!
Waiting? STILL.
After waiting two days for the email I finally got it. Then I did what it told me to do and now Im waiting in line AGAIN. I own a galaxy s4. This waiting game is ridiculous. BBM is just a waste of time if everyone has to deal with this.
