Unfortunetely no. You can only use very poor for writing capacitive styluses.

I think the Flyer has some special type of glass/screen. So, the answer is unfortunately no. There are some nice stylus out there, my Rocketfish stylus works really nicely. Is it has accurate as the Flyer's? Probably not. Does it do its job nicely? Yes.

[Q] Scribe + Transformer = Transcribe = Win?

Does anyone know if the HTC Scribe technology available in the soon-to-be-released HTC Flyer has any hardware dependencies that would preclude it from being... um... "adapted" for the use of other tablets? It appears that there is a software interface and the special pen. I think that is the lot, but I am not certain. If the HTC Scribe technology could be shoehorned into an Asus Transformer ROM we'd have a mighty fine tablet. The form-factor of the Transformer might cause an issue with pen input (the screen is fairly large), but it would be worth a try.
Just dreaming.
the scribe tech actually has a glass(technically not glass but that's what i wrote so eh) overlay on top of the capacitive overlay on the flyer. so unfortunately as much as i would love to have scribe tech we're up the creek without a paddle in this case.

we could try really hard and MAYBE get a rom based off htc's honeycomb release, but the scribing would suck (finger only) and the rom would be buggy, semi-functional, and the wrong resolution.
Good idea though, but the asus' lack of hardware to support writing on the screen and the scariness of porting the rom are unsurpassable.

[Q] Capacitive Stylus

Hey!
I really hope that this haven´t been asked already...I haven´t found an answer yet. Tell me, is there any possibility to get a digitizer working on this touchpad? I do not have any knowledge about the technical requirements for these active pens...
Y dont you just get a ipad pen type of pen?

Do you mean a capacitive stylus? The screen is capacitive so only a capacitive stylus will work. Just check out ebay. Any stylus that works with an ipad, transformer, or iconia will work on the touchpad.
If you are thinking of something more like a Wacom tablet type 'active' digitizer, then no, they cannot work with a standard (capacitive only) device. They operate using a radio frequency system which has to be present both on the pen and on the tablet itself.
The bonus is improved accuracy and sensitivity for the device, the drawback being cost, a *screenless* wacom tablet using that technology is already a hundred dollars or more, and to combine it with a screen wacom charges a thousand dollars handily.
HTC has a compromise of a sort with the flyer tablet, but again thats a two part system, part of it is in the pen and part is engineered into the tablet itself.
Thats´what I meant (an active digitizer)...okay, thank you all for your help!!! In this case I have to find out, if such a capacitive pen runs well, but I´ve heard that the are not that good...
Thanks!

Not trying to be mean, but did you even use the search button to see if topics like this have already been discussed. VERY old news man. This is the kind of thing that clutters the boards.

It is the same. After spending a few hours looking it up myself. I have found numerous places that will confirm that the 201 was repackaged and sold as TF700 compatible. I just bought my tablet and dock today. Got lucky with the price, got the 149.99$ dock for 99$

I know it's been covered elsewhere, but I keep reading conflicting reports, so is your dock a matching color to the pad or is it off? Thanks

My TF201 AG dock is not exactly the same colour... it is very close in colour to my TF700, but it isn't the same. The only way you would notice (for mine anyway) is if you took them apart, lied them on a table in a well lit room, and closely examined. In this case you would notice, otherwise, I think many would argue they are the same colour.
That said, apart from the colour, the dock works perfect and I have had no issues with it.
Note my TF201 and TF201 dock were identical in colour.

No, the innards are probably almost identical, but the docking part itself is shaped differently. The dock that is supposed to be TF7000 fits the TF700 tablet exactly, locks perfectly (snaps closed) and is the exact same color. I think its battery is a bit smaller and located more to the front of the keyboard for a better balance with the tablet open. That's the one I have. The Prime dock still works but is slightly different in color and fit.

I picked up a TF201 **** off Amazon for $120 and it fits pretty darn good and the lock does snap closed. And the battery is a bit bigger on the TF201. Why would you pay more for a dock with a smaller battery.
The battery is *not* bigger in the TF201 dock - again, someone took both completely apart and the batteries are the same...
I do wonder if the docking part is slightly different though since some folks with the TF201 dock found that it does not lock automatically...
Or, the docking part may be the same too - I don't know for sure.
Why do you think think the battery is bigger in the TF201 dock?

If you are asking me, I heard that the TF700 dock battery has slightly lower capacity. I read it in a review. Since it has to fit into a smaller space in order to improve the balance, they made it a bit smaller.

The TF201 and TF700 dock is identical. There is no TF700 specific dock.

when I 1st made the switch to infinity I had read the specs of the battery as slightly different but now looking it seems this has been further explored.... my bad. although there was a difference in price at one time, are they the same now?
Moreover
I bought the infinity keyboard, the box says tf700
And at the back side there is a tf201 sticker..
Bought from b&h new york
It's the same..
I bought a TF700 with dock (they came in the same box). In system/about the dock version is TF201-DOCK-0207 and as above sticker says TF201.

I bet the TF700 dock has the appropriate hinge on it to match the contour of the tablet. The TF201 dock clearly does not have the right shape to it. I bought a TF201 dock from best buy and my TF700 will not lock into the dock.

Sorry, but I don't get the point ... as far as I can see, this is a Bluetooth connected keyboard. Why should it not work with the TF700?

As much as i understood the concept, it was on a usb port (one of the change of the Me301).
As well as a magnetic cover, that send a SLEEP command to the TF when cover is closed..

Oh ok, got that now ... for the sleep thing you might want to look here. Not saying that's the ultimate solution, but this proves its doable.
I am waiting for the official Key Folio in Europe.. today I should receive the tablet!

Stylus skips on screen

Hey all,
i have an Asus transformer, but i actually need help with my other tablet. I just bought an Insignia Flex 10.1 android tablet from Best buy. It seems to work great with my finger. However, when i use my stylus it doesnt detect it very well. When drawing or writing, it "skips" on the screen. Can someone help me with this? Maybe theres a certain stylus i need.
Thanks!
My GT2 does the same thing. It's because the screen sensitivity is significantly lower than on the Transformer. Changing stylus will probably not make any difference.
Oh that would suck. I was thinking of trying one of these:
