is anyone else experiencing SODs still with this baseband? if not which rom is present? been rolling through nightlys and even trying custom kernals to see if it gets solved expect faux latest kernel seemed to cook my phone. stock still has a SOD about once a day. aside from that sometimes the phone just shuts off while on the charger.

Hello XDA
I am loving this new build for MIUI I am running the new 108050 and I was wondering what kind of Kernal I can run with this rom or if you can help me figure out my problems.
In the OP jface states that one of the bugs that needs to be fixed is get the kernal support up to date because it would support anything up until nightly 85
I have downloaded fauxs kernals from 3.3 onward and everytime I load the kernals I get no sound and things start to get buggy?
Does the new Rom have this kernal issue fixed or do I just have a special phone
Same here

Likely that it doesn't play nice with these kernels
Miui doesn't play nice with the CM7 Kernels. It has bugs, even wit hthe new version(I had two battery pulls yesterday and some apps don't run). I tred Faux's kernel and wasn't able to hear calls....so I stuck to stock. It almost works, and with it being so pretty, that's enough for me.
I had read somewhere that morfic's trinity kernals play are compatible with MIUI...but that the camera can get a little wonky at times- and i have experienced this with the 1.7.29 version where the colors get messed up- but has anyone tried the trinity kernal on the 1.8.5 yet?
Thank you for your response I really do love MIUI I just wanted to undervolt
Im trying to flash a kernel to my phone. I have tried both of the trinity kernels and faux's kernels. I have tried them with CM7.1.0.1 and some of the nightly builds but get nothing. All I get is a black screen like I have heard of most people getting. How can I fix this?
Basically the Kernel is newer than the ROM you're using. I can't comment on why it's not working with a nightly but I'll pm you the link for a ROM which I know from my own usage will work with those kernels.
Hello
I've done so much with my Nexus S that I only knew that at this time I'm using the actually Nightly and the KERNEL: 3.0.32 - Cyanogenmod-ge5cf67e blinky-ghost....
OK, as I'm writing this, i saw the date of the KERNEL, it's the 05th June 2012.
Am I'm right with this, that when I'm flashing the Rom, the Kernel will also be flashed?
Because, the Cyanogenmods I used works great, but the only thing what makes problems is, the time in the "Statusbar". It keeps standing still, after 4-5 hours.

The best Kernel is the one which u use or Matr1x But i think the Kernel has nothing to do with your status bar's time
Matr1x kernel +1 !
for the statusbar time problem maybe you could try a full wipe and flash another nightly
Hello everyone. I have been using cm9 rc2 since it dropped. I must say overall it's pretty great. I wanted to use a different kernel than the default but just can't seem to get one working. The main reason I want to change kernel's is because I'm getting random reboots and SOD. I have flashed all variants of guveor's kernel and the best I get is wifi flashing on and off with the aokp variant. Harmony kernel doesn't have working wifi and those are the only kernels that are apparently available. Anyone have any luck?
Been away from the forum for quite some time. Has a solution to the SOD/RR issue been found yet?
Team EOS 3 Jelly Bean with Roach's stock kernel fixed all the issues for me. As for the latest Asus firmware most don't have issues but some still do.
Yeah it all depends on the ROM/kernel you're using.
No SOD for me with Megatron ROM and Guevor's kernel
