My question would be, are you letting the oden process go all the way through? If the tar file is properly downloaded, the phone will reboot on its own and you will be at the stock home screen. let the process go through. the progress bar will go all the way across the phone screen then reboot. Give the phone time to reboot before you disconnect or touch anything. If you are trying to use that 3e fix forget it. It does not work. You will have to go back to the stock tar file. If you follow the proper procedure it should get you back to stock.

I hope you didn't use a PIT file like I did. I had to get mine replaced. If it's less than 30 days you can go to the store and exchange your phone. If you didn't use the PIT and just the PDA/TAR only. Try reinstalling using Odin again and don't repartition.

[Q] Restore Recovery

Hi there,
I succesfully restored my Nexus S OTA2.3.4 firmware to the original one.
Clockworkmod Recovery is also uninstalled, but I think the Recovery partition is empty now.
I thought /system/etc/install-recovery.sh is the file I had to run, but even with root access it doesn't install recovery...
Any idea where to get the stock i9023 recovery image that I can load on with fastboot?
Thanks!
Start your phone into fastboot mode, click on recovery. If you see a Android who looks like he's climbing out of a white cereal box, with a curved arrow, then everything is as it should be.
You should rename the file that will remove the clockworkmod everything you reboot. Forgot what is the name of the file.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App

[Q] Build.prop change via Stock Recovery

Hi I am new to forum
My problem is that I changed the screen LCD density in Rom Toolbox
from 160 to 230, and since then after a reboot I see the message that the TouchWiz stoped.
In addition, I did root so unfortunately I can not upload anything Odin because pressing Volume Down plus Power does nothing and tablet reboot normally.
The only thing I can do is Power plus Volume Up and then I have Stock Recovery (3e).
My request is this:
Does anyone of You can give me to prepare update.zip file to be able to change the file build.prop ( \system\build.prop) value of 160 (instead of 230), which will start in the Stock Recovery?
Is it at all possible ?
I tried to connect via ADB, but unfortunately did not see the Tablet
I will be very grateful for your help
Sorry for my poor English
You can still use ODIN if you 've rooted your device, fastest way to fix a soft brick...
If you can't get into ODIN mode you are doing something wrong or have a stuffed bootloader.
You can still install a stock rom by putting the rom file on your sd card, changing it to update.zip and flashing through recovery... make sure it's the stock rom you shipped wih or updated for your area.
This will wipe your tab though I believe...

Phone Won't Boot

hello, i have a huawei u8860 honor, I wanted to put a custom rom on my phone, i didn't really know what i was doing but i saw a tutorial that that said to put the phone into pink screen mode then replace the recovery.img with clockworkmod one. i made a backup of the default on just in case. the clockworkmod one wouldn't let the phone boot so i went back to put the original recovery.img file back onto the phone. but now my phone will not boot with the default stock recovery.img and boot.img. i cant get into recovery mode or anything other than "pink screen mode". all it does is flash the huawei logo for a few secconds then turns off. i have no idea what to do. did i do something wrong restoring the recovery.img backup? please could someone help me!
thanks in advance
ps. sorry if this post is in the wrong section i couldn't find the section for this model.

HY,if you want to flash a custom rom you need a boot.img and the rom.CwM is a recovery tool that will help you flash roms .After you wiped the cache and the dalvik cache you can install the zip ROM and then reboot.IF you say that the phone will not boot into cwm recovery try push it on your phone again ,if you made the backup with it its the only way to restore your data.It happend to me once but i pushed cwm back into the phone and reboot into recovery by holding volume key and the power button and it worked.

And it also can be because you havent flashed the boot.img correctly.Never forget the the boot.img needs to be where the fastboot files are.YOU can do it by install the SDK from android and push it to platform-tools. GOOD LUCK

[Q] Device wont turn on after booting recovery

Hi, I wanted to root. Instead of flashing the custom recovery I only wanted to boot into it and then apply the supersu.zip.
But something went wrong and now I can't turn the device on.
Please help me. :crying: Here is the screenshot, what happened. (attachment)
EDIT: I couldn't turn on the device, but I could start the stock revovery via volume down+ power. And now?
EDIT2: After entering the stock recovery I could boot normally. Why did it behave so strange? This is the correct file openrecovery-twrp-2.7.1.0-bacon.img?
I had the same issue, now I'm on flashed CWM recovery.
Try this img file, this one worked for me. It's from the "OnePlus Easy Toolkit". You can also try it through it... but if you want to do it manually you cann extract the archive and use the provided twrp img file
I took the CWM.img which is in this zip file http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2779976
And it worked. I could do "fastboot boot [cwm recovery.img]" Thanks for the hint to try CWM instead of TWRP
