CyanogenMod: CM7 support for the ThunderBolt

Would you would like CM7 on your Thunderbolt? Slayher is going to get it done with the communities help. He currently supports CyanogenMod on the Droid Incredible as part of the Team, http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Community_Members
If you can skip Dunkin Donuts, the bagel, etc for a day or two and donate this will not take very long. I will be posting this on several forums and linking back here, lets keep this thread clean and to the point of getting a TBolt into Tony's hands...hopefully on release day.

Donated! Cyanogen is the main reason I upgraded from the Droid X. I love my X, but really wanted an unlocked boot loader for this very reason

Here we go again. G2/nook. now TB.
Who is in for making donations to make a fully working AOSP or CM7 version of thunderbolt (mecha) with FULL LTE/3G and WIFI. Everything must work. Or bounty will not be collected and returned to people.
Rules:
1) As above. Everything must work!
Wifi/ Blue tooth / video / cam back and forth / video / full playback of video (no hacks) smooth video playback even on youtube.
You may donate as much as you want:
I have been known to do this for the community. The person/group who gets it. Can give it to charity to xda or buy beer. I really don't care.

agreed ^^ CM is almost done, they have lte working and 3g, just finishing up on wifi, blue tooth and some others. Cyan said in his interview nightlies should start soon.

Most of that is already working in CM7, is it not? No need for a bounty imo, they will get it if its not done already.

I don't think its a bad idea as some may, I know cyanogen's peeps are working on it but cyanogen and his team aren't the only developers out there who may wanna get in on this. I say go for it, competition is always a good thing! As long as the person or persons who release it first get the donations promised go for it. Moved to general.

Wow this why I like the Eris community better. No one asked for bounties, and everyone got along. This is ridiculous, when you bought the phone, you paid for what you got and if u want something else then wait till the devs do it at their own pleasure.

Also the donations for the Nook were never for a bounty. It was to get more devices to more devs in hopes of getting something going.

Just like why doing a 3d launcher when u can buy the htc evo 3d but y people dont buy it cuz they mite not have the money for it and thats when we come and make laonchers that look like another phone so u dont have to spent money on it !!!!!!!i think it great to develop laonchers specially one like htc hd7 !!!!!!dont you think so ?

Actually this is not a scam. I run the website development on the project as i am no good with apps but we have over 35 different devs. Check out wp7android.com......we are currently building a new website. When it is finished i will release the url. You may not like the project but please at least check it out

No this is already nearly finished. Also our project is soon to be sponsored by amazon. Later on we will work on roms for all devices but right now it is all apps, and a secret feature that we are currently developing. If you do not care about the project i fully understand but dont bash it if you know nothing about it

I'm not bashing.. I based this of OP previous post. why don't you guy post a proper thread if you guys are up to something? post some screenshot of the project and maybe some users will be interested.

Not difficult to click on a link. Please just give it a look. I cant post screens personally because for some reason screenshots never work on my hero cdma. Search youtube for wp7android and watch a few vids if you want to look at it.

Screens are not shopped at all....hell you can dl the lite version of the launcher on the android market. The reason we are done yet is because we are integrating amazon into the project, we take requests for apps and will do just about any of them, and we are working on roms for 15 different phones at the moment....its not just a few apps and be done. The main apps we wanted in the beginning have been done for quite some time. And again, you are bashing the ability of some devs.....if you are better than them then put out a product of your own that is better.

and honestly I really don't think you need our help. If this project is real, I'd love to be a beta tester, but otherwise, no thank you, our developers are busy as it is.

[Q] [INTEREST] Okay... it's Bounty/Reward Time for ICS

I jumped from the Vibrant to the Infuse, and I've noticed development here is a little on the anemic side. I've seen a few people discuss starting a bounty/reward for an Ice Cream Sandwich port and wanted to see if anyone else was down or interested.
If it's just me then I'll be quiet and mods can delete this thread.
Update: Please try to make reference to +1 or "Yes I'd contribute to an ICS Port" if you want this to happen. Finding developers is easy enough if we have the numbers and support from the community.

I will be content with an official GB at this point. ICS would be a great bonus but only if HDMI and Bluetooth work.

We did like a fundraiser to get devs phones. One didn't work with kernels, one did a **** ton of work but got bored with it, one posted sources on git hub but never showed up on the forum and one posted work that he did without a phone till he actually one and vanished.
If we put up,money the bounty is the way to go because we can put it up expecting only one piece of work and they can,get the money when it is complete.
I would like to see if someone can pm netarchy and razor950 and see if they still have the donated infuses, if they are interested, and if not, would they pass the phone along to someone who is.

On a more serious note, I think once you get interest from the devs more ppl would jump on; if you dangle the possiblility of a confirmed ICS rom for our phones, we will get some fkn bounty money

Just pissed myself laughing at what you wrote. I sent one PM -- if anyone has any contact information start throwing it up or recommendations of people to contact.

I am working on building an ICS AOSP rom. It is slow going though as I've had other life issues going on. I bought a nexus 4g and just got ICS AOSP built and running on it yesterday as a first step just to help me with learning how everything fits together.
I'm just doing this for fun to learn how Android works, so I don't really expect fast progress. I do own two Infuses so I'm covered there. I do have to admit the possibility of a bounty would encourage me to move faster

I'll be spending a lot more time over the next few days working on ICS. I've got a kernel in the works, hopefully I can finish it in the next day or two and test it out.

That's good to hear fellas. Take your time, we Infuse owners know how to wait for something. (i.e. Official Gingerbread) Lol

To netarchy's credit - he did talk on IRC with us, and saved me a TON of time in terms of Daily Driver development. He has never had a big forum presence - just look at the Ninphetamine thread, he was a major contributor to that kernel but only posted on the thread 11 times over its 2,900+ post life. Hacre (aka Ninpo) always did the release engineering portion of the work.
He got sick after QuakeCon which put him behind, and then real life stuff came up. It was disappointing, but at least we got some pretty good stuff out of his donated device even if it is not obvious to most users.
I'm going to try and shoot him a message (I don't think he checks XDA PMs any more, but I have other ways of getting in touch with him) to see if he is willing to give the device to a Cappy or Nexus kernel dev who wants to upgrade. (I would prefer if the device goes to someone with more time than I have to focus on it.)
razor950's device donation was unfortunate - he has a long history of saying "I'm helping you guys but don't have a device!" and then disappearing immediately after he receives it without a word. You have, IMO, no hope whatsoever of getting anything from him.

Anyone know if there are any developers for the One XL working on a Sense 5 port? If not is there a way to put in a formal request / pledge to donate to those who produce a sense 5 port? Thanks all

I'm still a little unaware of how developer requests work, but is it appropriate to post in the general forum about a ROM request / donation pledges for a Sense 5 port? I'm not sure if that would be popular among the HOXL community but I think it would be. That way, we can have a huge part of whats coming out with the HTC One on our devices :fingers-crossed:

I would definitely throw in a few bucks if somebody successfully ported sense 5 to the one x. So long as it was functional that is lol. Hopefully somebody can come up with something, that way it will make me feel less bad about not having the newest from HTC haha

This isn't eBay. Developers may pick up a request or not depending on what they feel like doing. If you want to start a bounty thread, go for it, but people work on this kind of stuff when they want to, not because other people ask them to.

I'm not sure if that was meant to be offensive or not. But if you check my post history I have been very supportive of all the developers here. I just know that a lot of the developers do this in their spare time and is not their primary job obviously. So I could show my support by providing a few extra dollars from my bank account. It is simply a token of my appreciation. But thank you for the clarification

Bounty is a good idea i think, the port its not that easy and the dev can receive a good incentive for that, not a pay, is a grand "thanks".
