im sorely missing this keyboard on my evo 3d and have not found any suitable replacements. ill throw in $20 if someone can update it to fit qhd devices, who else is willing to contribute?
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
for how much?
come on guys, we need more support!
Here is a link to thread about a modified HTC keyboard that might be what you were looking for. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
The OP wasn't too clear but select the 2.2 version to download
thanks, but that "high res" version is for wvga displays when the likes of the evo came out. itll work on qhd, but theres blank space on the right side of the keyboard because it has not been scaled to the new resolution
have you tried adjusting the key width and height settings within user interface of the htc ime settings?
I also vote for a qHD version, please!
Vote and Bump!
would love the htc ime keyboard for the sensation..another vote
iam with u guys! please make a update für qHD Displays. i have the htc evo 3d and dont want to use another keyboard then the IME MOD.
i would donate a few dollars too for the developer!!!
perfect keyboard, modify the layout and theme ?
perfect keyboard is pretty good, but there are several things that bug me about it to the point that i cant use it. for example, if i want a compound word that it doesnt know with most keyboards i can type in play, choose it, then type in ground and im good to go. with perfect keyboard i type in play, choose it, then start typing and it resumes trying to t9 the entire string instead of ignoring the first half that i already selected. basically kills typing in websites
oh yeah perfect keyboard is by xda, for.digit, which he is giving it free for another 2-3 days.
i bought it , got a refund today and gave him a 5 star for his hard work. its better than most of the things i've tried. maybe you can let him know about your problems
im sure its not going to cost you $20
thanks. i actually took him up on the offer last week, but with the refund you dont have rights to it which means that when i flashed a new rom id have to buy it/refund it again. i left him five stars anyway and ive talked to him a bit and plan to do so more, but for me the ime is perfect except for the resolution thing.
I know I am late...but can someone plz make a qHD version?? I tried the link posted above, I get a blank right side??
Anyhelp?
Vote and Bump! Please make version for qHD screen. I would donate!
Here is qHD version

I havnt purchased my HTC Pure yet but I do plan on getting one. In the meantime I was curious.
Is it possible to load the HTC Sense UI from the HTC HD2 and load it on the ATT Pure?
The HTC Sense UI im talking about is the one found in this youtube vid I found on Endgadget
http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/08/htc-hd2-gets-itself-a-promo-video-and-a-website/#continued
You would need to flash this ROM
So would that particular rom be possible on the ATT Pure? Or would hardware differences prevent it from running like its being ran on the HD2
You should be able to flash it no problem but since the Hardware Keyboard on the Pure is different from all variants of the Diamond2 then you would have to find a cab or registry tweak to change keyboard layout.
Edit: The ROM is built for Diamond2 even though it's using packages from the HD2
Pure has no hardware keyboard
The pure doesn't have a hardware keyboard, and yes, there are numerous ROMs cooked by chiefs already that have the sense UI found in the HTC Leo (aka HD2). You just have to pick one and flash away
lol what was I thinking, yes at the time of my last posting I was thinking so much of the Tilt2 as I had just placed an order for it.

Yea, I have the Pure, but debating about returning it for the Tilt 2, if only for the larger screen space. But the camera on the Pure is really good compared to the Tilt 2 (5 MP vs. 3.2 MP). Oh, what to do????
it all bottoms down to whether you want a keyboard or not. if you have a phone i'm guessing you have a digital camera so you probably won't be using said phone to take studio quality photos, just quick snaps here and there. and the .4 inches in the screen also won't make a big deal. if you can type pretty well on the pure and what to save some money stick with the pure. if you are a person who prefers a physical keyboard and the price doesn't matter to you get the tilt 2.
Buyed and installed Ivy the Kiwi? on mi hd2, hit in the icon and the screen rotates then a windows with error "application Failed" appears and the game closes.
Anyone with an HD2 tested the game?
Otherwise it looks fantastic, from the creator of Sonic!

Made a video of the error:

I REALY WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME
I´m about to make a hard reset.
NOBODY TESTED?

they said to fill the form out... there are many options for it, one being to get help with getting apps to work. another is to get a refund. Fill out the form to get help.
but i'm also wondering if this will work with the hd2.
Form filled and error explained, now waiting...
Bad sensations...
DONE A HARD RESET AND THE ERROR PERSIST!!!
MS has done it, selling one game that doesnt work!!!
Only one more disappointment among so many others on this ridiculous MS Marketplace. I refuse to buy anything there....
I bought the game and it runs great on my Tilt2. One of the coolest games I have played in some time and actually puts the stylus to good use. I bet it runs fine on most devices.
If anything this will make me revisit the Marketplace more often.
I do have to add one thing for HD2 owners. I wonder if this is a problem due to the HD2 using a capacitive screen versus the rest of the crop using resistive? It might have a conflict with the drivers. If so then this does illustrate the one thing I do not like about the Marketplace and buying software in general for Windows Phone.
So many models, so many hardware variations. The Marketplace doesn't do a very good job indicating model or screen support. So I can only assume all software on the Marketplace supports WVGA which I just cannot believe is true. Maybe I am wrong but many of the games I have looked up doesn't get into supported models so the buyer can only assume their phone is supported.
Well, that isn't perfect but this game sure is.
^ Hopefully thats sorted with WM7 which has stricter Hardware guidlines, so theres not much chance of incompatibilty.
Always makes me wonder why people go oh well xda-developers will make WM7 run of their 2 year old QVGA phone
turn of the SENSE UI....
Maybe this phone exists somewhere but if so, I haven't found it - and not for lack of searching. It all started with a 2007 Shadow. I loved the slim size and slide-out form factor, could live with WinMo if I had to but hated the 2.0 mp camera and non-touch screen.
I've tried the Incite, the Kaiser and currently use a G1 for day to day but none of them made me as happy as my Shadow. Part of it's because if I need to make a call I don't like the touch screen dialer. Another factor is the Blackberry-like keyboard arrangement on the Shadow - I really liked it. (I could never master texting using the usual numeric keys.) It's too cumbersome to pop out the G1 or Tilt keyboard, especially dealing with stupid automated phone systems.
I like HTC phones a lot because of the community but am beginning to wonder if somewhere out there is a phone better suited for me. I'd like to stay in the Android fold but does anyone have any suggestions? Has to be GSM and unlockable because I use a weird local carrier, too, although I might consider going back to Sprint (gag) for the perfect phone.
Terry
The Palm Pre might suit you...although there is always more to get out your device when you are running WinMo or Android on an HTC device. WebOS is fantastic but you're stuck with what they give you.

I played with a Pre at a local kiosk and was impressed by how nice it was but not enough better than the G1 to go back to Sprint. Now if the GSM version becomes more affordable and available, maybe...
Thanks,
Terry - now if I could just do a camera transplant on a touch dual
It would be something like this:
VGA 4" screen
From factor like HTC Universal
2ghz processor
1gb RAM
Hardware keyboard
Slim nice design
Made by HTC
A mix of Universal, Rhodium and Leo
I guess I have to wait till 2011 or 2012...
I remember reading that android was working quite well on the HTC Nike a while back. That's the same slide format as the shadow.

It is so very close, but I'm spoiled by the ability to do bar code scanning with the G1. AFAIK, the 2.0 cameras can't do that - which is why I made the comment about the camera transplant. I guess I could look into the port a little closer to see if they made it work or not.
Terry
Is there gonna be an update for the G1 where you can use multi touch? That is without rooting of course. I mean it's about time android had one since the G1 is capable of multi touch functionality.
no .
lol .
oh god. wrong section and a dumb question.
Trolling from the XDA app.
have you even been paying attention to all the news about the apple vs htc vs Elan Microelectronics. There is no telling who will win and who will end up with multi touch but until this is settled don't expect to have multitouch until then. (unless you root of course and the G1 needs A2SD so badly you almost have to root)
Until Multi Touch is settled you should look at picture viewer in the market. It is a free image viewer that you zoom by sliding your finger up and down. You can also swipe images left and right. I like using Astro to launch the images and you can swipe through the folder of images.
Hurry up and root your phone and enjoy all of the benefits. I think the Dolphin Browser which you can find in the market has multi-touch even w/o rooting your phone.
Marked for move/deletion, please read the rules and search around before posting next time
When the official 2.1 release is made, Multitouch will probably be included with it, as the phone's hardware supports it, no changes will need to be made. Until there is a resolution to any of these lawsuits HTC will still be free to ship their phones, and I imagine the 2.1 releases for the G1 and Magic will come before any resolution is made to these lawsuits
THread closed.
Greetz.
Hey, guys...
Roughly a week ago we came to you asking for feedback on our Claystone 3D Launcher application and the response we've received thus far has been tremendous.
(See thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298754 )
In keeping with that, we have just one question: What comes next?
What new feature, from the ones most frequently mentioned in the thread referenced above, would you like to see in an upcoming build?
As much as we'd love to, we can't bring in everything at once and need your help in determining what suggestions should receive immediate attention vs. which ones can cool their heels for a bit prior to inclusion.
If you could take a moment to submit your vote, we'd really appreciate it!
(Please note: we're already at work on stability and performance enhancements, stack labels, changes to the Home and Back soft key inputs, and a few other small improvements - just in case anyone was wondering why they don't appear as poll options.)
Thanks again for all the help, guys!

please support qHD resolution! it would be so cool!
i know i mentioned this in the main topic and i also know that you saw my suggestion but i want to say it again because i think there are coming more and more android phones/tablets with qHD screens... ATM there are only a few HTC and Motorola phones (and i own with my HTC Sensation one of these )
thanks in advance and i like claystone, its a really great launcher but i dont like blurry images as home screen, so i use it as far as there is qHD support...

Is the Motorola Atrix a qHD screen? We have one in-house and have been testing against it and it works fine. Which qHD device are you using? Thanks!
For the record, I totally had my money on 'Support for Scrolling Widgets' taking top billing. I very well could be proven wrong!
