Call button not working ? - HTC ChaCha

Does anyone got this issue?
Just got my chacha and I realized that my call button (green button) is not working.
Its still show green light , I don't see any wrong on its physic, but I can't use that button to make a call or receive a call.
What's happened to my chacha ? Is it software related or hardware related ?
Anyone had this issue ?
I'm confuse.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

There was another post about this issue, answer and end buttons not working. He said that he returned the phone to warranty and they gave him a new phone. He also said that the service told him about HTC's problem regarding one batch of phones having this issue.

thanks for your information.
i'll try to claim my warranty then.

how to stop my device (wm6.1) from waking up when BT is pressed

Hi,
It gets really annoying when I return home and notice that while I was driving I accidentally send some e-mails and made some phone calls to unknown and known people...
This has happened because the BT answer button was pressed, the phone woke up, and it was "touched" in various places making a "costly" mess.
I have also installed S2U with S2A but still the phone wakes up..
How can I stop this???
any help will be appreciated!
PS: I use a Touch Diamond.
I guess either there is not a way to do that, or my mediocre english didn't help anyone understand my problem...
Do you have any third party software installed? If yes, most probably it's due to software incompatibility that caused your diamond to react in this manner.
"HKLM/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand/Path" is what is carried out when the bluetooth button is pressed. Just delete or change the value.
Next time use the q&a section for this type of query.

[Q] Vibrator and PowerButton Issues

My phone's vibrations suddenly stopped working. They start again when the hit the phone with my palm gently.
the other being my Powerbutton does the job of pressing twice when i press it once. So when i want to nlock it it locks it again, and when i wanna lock it it opens the lockscreen again. I thought this might be a specific rom issue but it happens in Both Sense, ICS, and 4.2 Jellybean roms.
Is there any fix or this which i can do it myself by opening the phone and stuff? Or should i take it to a HTC store and get it fixed? My warranty has expired so it won't matter.
And btw my phone completes one year of existence with me!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38633404 This is about power button, about the vibration, maybe the motor it self is failing, because I don't believe that this is software, I mean if something is fixed with some kind of slap, this is not software. If you get to a point of folowing this guide, try to change the vibrator also.
Its obviously a hardware problem judging by your statement. You can attempt to fix yourself with the guide by legen_dary(risky if you are not careful) or just take it to a service centre
okay the vibrator issue appeared again, this time i had to slap the phone harder. Seems that the motor is failing as shortyoko said. I'll find a good HTC authorized center and fix both issues. Thanks for your response

Touch screen barely responds when on call

Hi there,
Today I experienced a very odd issue with the touchscreen when in a call. I had to call some helpdesk to help me solve some issue with one of my subscriptions. During the call I had to choose options from a menu, so I switched to keypad. When prompted by the answering machine to put in a number I had a hard time doing that. It took me like 5 tries to get the touchscreen to respond to my input. Also I noticed that the 'Home' software button didn't work. Back button did work. Have any of you experienced this weird behaviour?

this can be software bug
to make sure it s software or touch panel problem > Repair Firmware by PC companion app.
however u can test touch panel by using Xperia Diagnostic (Setting > About > Diagnostic)
if problem remains then take it to service center to replace ur device because faulty touch panel
:good:

Nothing wrong with the touch screen, it's only a problem during phone calls. I have this too; makes voicemail pin number entry tedious.

Camera button.

Hi,
Since one week, I experience problem when using the camera function on my phone.
It's almost impossible to take a picture, I have to press the camera button around ten time before its work.
Same problem for the exit or the video buttons.
No problem when using others function or app.
Is someone else had or have the same problem
French Alcatel support advice me for a reset so, I just would like to know before to do it.
Thanks for help.
Hi,
Just to inform that my device has been fixed (screen change - manufacturer warranty)

Home button issue...

Home button won't work independently. Home button only works when simultaneously pressing it with the back button. Anybody else have this issue or know of a way to resolve this without sending back to Samsung?
More details?
Model Name?
SM-R760 or SM-R765 or Classic variants?
Best Regards
Not too sure the model version. It's from AT&T.. I don't have anymore details to give... Home button doesn't work unless I press it with the back button.
I have same issue on Gear S3 classic started earlier this year
I have the exact same issue, started a few days ago. I have a Verizon Gear S3 Classic under warranty. I already opened a service ticket with Samsung.
This problem seems like a software issue, but rebooting and resetting do not resolve the issue. I am wondering if this is a mechanical issue of how these two buttons are put together.
Stupid Question...
Really sure success is because 2 Buttons pressed at same time?
Maybe if we press both buttons on Classic Gear S3... then maybe ankle different...
Maybe try 1 button from different anke with different pressure...
Maybe half dead Hardware button...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Idea seems nonsense... Classic have two heavy metal Buttons...
I started having the same issue on my Gear S3 classic 2 days ago. No home button activity whatsoever but if it is pressed simultaneously with the back button then function is restored. I have restarted and no help. I tried changing the watch face to make sure button action was not reassigned with no improvement. In addition, I changed to double press function to another app but still not working unless the back button is pressed as well. Hopefully someone will have a fix without it being returned to Samsung. I have not tried a complete reset ....has anyone else?
I have tried factory reset and it does not help. I also noticed that the "music player popup" problem disappeared when I have this "home button not functional without back button pressed" problem.
I sent in the watch for repair yesterday. My watch is under warranty until 2019. It is hard to imagine this is a hardware issue. I think this is some kind of flash mem corruption problem. In Android world we usually can clear the cache. There is no such option in Tizen world.
Will know in two week what Samsung say. Will update this thread.
Just chatted with Samsun support. They claim they have fixed the problem, after just half day. Basically they just replaced the motherboard and it is in QA right now.
They also claim my MEID, CCID, and Esim profile is restored on the new mother board. Will update when I receive the watch.
Same issue...home button stopped working
Same problem with Gear S3 home button not working. Don't know why this has suddenly happened.
Update?

I have the same problem. Press and hold the home button for 10s to reboot seem to fix the problem for now.

I have the same problem. But my watch switched off and can't get it to work
Anyone figure out if this is a hardware or software issue. I having the same issue. Home/power button will not work unless back button is pressed at the same time. If the back button I pressed home button works normally.
I had the issue, was fixed by samsung (new motherboard and battery), 3 months later it's back. It's an issue thwy won't own up to, bring on the Google Watch!
Stuck with the same issue
I have the same issue on my Gear S3 Classic. I have tried everything (except take it apart) and cannot get it to go back to normal. It sucks as this happened after warranty expired. Cost to fix is probably equal to cost of replacing. Any other ideas?
Same issue - any updates?
I have same issue on gear 3 frontier sm-R760, on latest Tizen 3.0.0.2 and software version R760XXU2CRK2. Tried everything, resetting, recovery multiple times. Tried changing what dbl press did for home button. Nothing works. I have to press the back and home button at the same time and it acts like just pressing the home button. that has been the only way to do the resets and so forth. Pressing home button by itself for any length of time does nothing. Just hoping someone will come up with a solution. The interesting thing is it was working fine until the watch was factory reset.
Has anyone managed to solve this problem? My gear s3 SM-R760 is not under warranty. I need to solve this problem. Please

I still have not found a solution. Samsung did recently push out a new version of the Tizen OS. My watch is now on 4.0.0.2. It did not fix the issue. Home button still does nothing unless I click both buttons at the same time.
Would sure welcome anyone who has any ideas on how to fix.
