Is there a game on Xperia Play that also exists on PSP? I want to play multiplayer with a friend which owns a PSP.
Oh yeah, unfortunately Age of Zombies isn't multiplayer.

FPSE supports multiplayer via Bluetooth or WLAN or smth.. at least i've read smth like that Oo

xbox 360, ps3 and pc users can all play final fantasy 12 together and when quake 3 arena was first released, dreamcast owners could play pc owners

Lots of games have cross platform compatability.

No reason why cross platform games cant interact with each other. Been done lots of times before.

You can play KWAAK3 engine using Quake3 files and play against people online (including via LAN or hosted internet server) that are on PC and other devices that have had Q3 engine ported to it. The Q3 engine was opensourced by ID software (quite nice of them).

A) It was Final Fantasy XI.
B) PS2 and PC were able to play together.
C) Xbox 360 cannot play with anyone else.

You can't play PSP games and you never will. The only way this will ever be possible is if they make another Xperia Play that can handle the power of processing a game of that magnitude.

Are you thick, xperia play has 3x power of the psp, there are already some ports of psp games for the play, and the play runs them better than the psp...........

But those PSP games have to be ported... no way via emulation right? PLAY is not powerful enough to run a PSP emulator... as it is with the PS2. am I right?

No i very much doubt the play could directly emulate PSP games, my point is, the play has more than enough power to play thoes games natively, if they were ported to android Generally i think the rule for emulation is you need 5-10x the power of the device your are trying to emulate

Games just aren't compatible. Different os and hardware. Modified games. Don't bother trying.

Mhmyeah.
It would be cool if PSP developers would have a look at Xperia Play and make some PSP games compatible with it, maybe with lower graphics, it doesn't matter, but they still can make it!
Have a look at Dead Space. They did versions on several consoles and even on mobiles (currently only for Apple, but soon for Android). Dead Space for iPhone/iPad looks and feels almost as the PC version does, only it has lower graphics. It's not that hard, the only problem is lazyness here.
A good example is Age of Zombies, which surely makes more money on sellings due to the game being available both on PSP and Android phones.

New Gameloft releases?!

Seriously, what is going on with Gameloft, they have 3 new games that appear in the Xperia Play Launcher yet you click on them and it takes you to the Gameloft wap site which isn't showing any of the latest games to buy or download.
Anyone else having this issue?

Yes same issue here, done a refresh and they have disappeared from xperia play games list on phone.

the only new release that appeared so far is that lame game Block Breaker 3..

I think the other game is Block Breaker3,or 9mm.but who had bought Block Breaker?I'm afraid it's liked Order&Chaos,don't support for xperiaplay's gamepad.

guess what, Let's Golf 3 and Shadow Guardian are gone just now.. maybe they aren't for the XP after all..

I just bought block breaker 3. The game does not use the play controls, probably because the game plays in portrait not landscape. But it's a pretty good game, I was a big fan of arknoid back in the days

Yeah, I wanted Let's Golf 3.
I'd rather a Tiger Woods for Xplay but I don't think EA are planning on it

Lets golf 3 is still there for me. Generic world 2.3.3 in australia. Nfs hot pursuit dissapeared though I bought the damn game too now I cant redownload it (

I'm having that issue too. I noticed it for about a week ago, but I can't see the 9mm on my list, only shadow guardian and let's golf 3.

I bought the game also since it was announced on their FB page, I thought I can use our phone's physical controls since I saw the xperia play on the description. Like using D-pad on the side while playing it vertically..
Yeah arkanoid one of my old school fave too, that's why I'm also addicted to fireball (Nokia S60 game)..

Shadow Guardian and Lets Golf 3 will be released soon enough, 1st October was supposed to be the real release date (according to pocketgamer.co.uk) and they launched it by mistake, but only kn launcher, there wasn't any game on the site.

Tank Riders released! Xperia Play optimized!

A new Game called Tank Riders appeared in the Market today, i remembers me a lot on Tank hero, wich i play before i had the Play but since Tank Hero wasnt Xperia PLay optimized i have not played it anymore

[UPDATE]: Unfortunelly, for now, version 1.0.30 from Google Play does NOT have Xperia Play gamepad support. Maybe we need wait for EA Flexion Store version, still no correct info about it. But without it - I tested already - and I can say it's very good stuff - good optimalisation (it's EA, not Gameloft ), nice controls and good graphics. Storyline should be good too (it's Mass Effect, yep? ), but can't tell after 10minutes of gameplay. Bye guys! ^^

just sore this FU*Cking hope it has dead space controls. Downloading it now but my net is sh*t.

On Google Play it show that R800i/Play has support for this game, hope full (with gamepad), not only hardware (1GHz + Adreno 205).

i just downloaded the game, and it doesn't appear in the XPLAY launcher. hopefully its still fun with touch controls

I'd imagine it'd be like all other EA Games, where the Xperia Play Optimized version is only sold on the EA Flexion store.

Tested - Google Play version does NOT have working Xperia Play gamepad. I will update first post and name of thread. Sorry guys. Maybe we should really wait for EA Flexion Store version, like TLRtheory said.

I got it also no play controls in USA either I got refund. Ill wait for play optimized

Hmm I'd also like to see a good sixaxis controller map, its going to take forever to map this one hah

I've just watched the trailer and the interview with one of the developers on YouTube.
This game looks epic! The deadspace engine has come a long way and if they port the deadspace xperia play controls over to this game we are surely looking at a five star futuristic deus ex (voice actor from first deus ex game is in this) come mass effect single player badass of a game.
I cant wait for it to be "xperia play optimised".
This is type of calibre of gaming that the Xperia Play owner should be experiancing daily!

i bougth the game and its very good, but with some lag.
Nice graphics for Xperia Play
So I change to 1.2 GHZ and runs perfect

I bought it and tried on my xperia play and my toshiba thrive, the controls are cool but seem easier on my tablet. I don't really see a way to convert them fluidly to our controller tho.

Without even playing it, I can confidently say there's surely a way.
...I tried doubting Xperia Play's potential once when I said Blood & Glory wouldn't work on Xperia Play... and, well... we all see how that went

Hopefully the original version that was banned from the U.S.

Kickass! I know GTA3 was considered revolutionary at the time but I still think its a deeply flawed game; Vice City really makes for a fun sandbox experience while fixing the issues I had with 3 IMO

Fingers crossed for optimization for Play (after GTA 3 and Max Payne it's nearly sure, but it's not Gameloft ). Hope it will hit ASAP! ^^ And then what? San Andreas in 2015 and then GTA IV xD?

I hope this is made to work on single core devices like the Xperia PLAY. Optimisation would be a bonus.

Thing is since it's Rockstar they have been very nice to us Xperia PLAY users so I've got faith that this will be Xperia PLAY optimised !

Vice city is very good but san andreas was the best because it had EVERYTHING that it needed to be cool, I felt like nothing was missing.
I wouldnt have bought GTA III unless there would have not been 1€ sale

I'd second that San Andreas was the best but I honestly find myself playing Vice City more. San Andreas is ****ing huge but I felt a lot of detail was lost in creating such a huge world in such a small amount of time. Give me SA's mechanics with Vice City's world and I'd lose my ****
