[GAME] New Gameloft Games for Android

I was surfing thru gameloft website and notice that there are alot of new games for android ~
Most of it (if not all) are ported from iphone.
I tried searching for more info regarding these games from most android webbys but to no avail. All that came up was Asphalt 5 ~
List of new games available such as:
-N.O.V.A. [Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance]
-Real Soccer 2010
-Tom Clancy's HAWX
-Assassin Creed
-Modern Combat: Sandstorm
-few others

I am hoping someone will do a video review on these games. Wonder it will run well on nexus ~

They certainly look impressive.

Unfortunately Gameloft tend to just port the iphone versions which means poorly optimised code and rubbish performance despite being on a more powerful device

They recently updated zenonia which is sooo smooth now.

hmm... i thought Zenonia is from Gamevil but not Gameloft?

Come to think of it, i don't even have a gameloft game on my phone, i had origan trail at some point. lol.

i am extremely dissatisfied and choose to boycott Gameloft for the same reason as mentioned by one poster above.
to the present day Asphalt 5 runs extremely laggy on Nexus One, hundreds of posters have pointed it out but the devs have to the present day not managed to chunk out one single update.. and that for a $6.99 game.

Bring on RF 2010... And modern combat! Graphics look amazing.
Hopefully Asphalt was just a test in Android waters when it comes to 3d games. They better get it right this time around.
EDIT: Just went to buy Modern Combat: Sandstorm for $4.99. After entering that I have a HTC Google Nexus One, I get a message saying:
"Sorry, Modern Combat: Sandstorm HD+ is not available for your phone at the moment"
However Real Football is available to buy (im pretty sure). I can get to the checkout stage, but I don't think i'll buy it yet.
Hopefully they are on the market soon...

if you downloaded HD+ isn't that the iPad version?

I was sure I was browsing android games, because there was a picture of a Nexus One with an embedded video playing inside it.
I clicked Buy Now straight under it.
Not sure why MCS isn't working and Real Football is...

Were you really laughing out loud while you wrote that? I doubt it.
Ontopic, it's good that Gameloft at least does something for Android. Some guy at Gameloft complained some time ago about the difficulties of making money on Android software. I guess he saw that Android is kicking every other platform's butt, and they want in on the world domination.

Is Asphalt 5 on the link given in the opening post, the same 'laggy' version we all have? Asking because when I click on buy now, I see the name "Asphalt 5 HD+".. Is it different?

I have no idea bro. The info on the web itself is vague. They should at least list the version number.

I absolutely love my Nexus but the games aren't up to par. I wanna try some of the new Gameloft games but I was told that because of the multitouch limitations that the N1 has they are terrible to play.

may be it has a lot of settings but i don't have a WII to try

its been proven that nexus one has multitouch problems so it doesnt matter what games. Games that have a joystick and action button on the bottom will not work with multitouch on the nexus one. Maybe if one is on the bottom and on at the top they would work

I'm playing at Heavy Gunner 3d actually, it have both controls at bottom of the screen and they work very well togheter on froyo, probably it was a broblem on Eclair. i've never found problems on gameloft games too (excluding optimization)

Asphalt is a money racing game.

with move2SD now activated in Froyo, why aren't the big game company making more quality Android games... so far gameloft, com2us, polarbit, deckeleven have done pretty well with their games, but we need more games...

perhaps because it's been only what a week? they need time to develop games for the android.

I'd like to see an MMO on android.

Games that run good on the Galaxy Tab

Ive had andoid devices for a few years now and ive never paid much attention to games. But now that that i have a giant screen and a fast vr chip...
So far ive tried only Angry Birds, which is just awesome on the tab, and Shortyz Crosswords, which i cannot live without.
What plays well at full resolution?

Have you tried Dungeon Hunter? I'm very interested in seeing how that runs on the tab. Unfortunately I do not have a Galaxy Tab yet so I can't help you pick out more games though

games working on the tab - full screen
1) Air control

these are the games i play and working well on full screen

On a sadder note, gameloft wont let me by any Dungeon Hunter HD - keeps saying both galaxy s ant tab are unsupported. Which is strange because there's a YouTube promo advertising the nd lineup for the tab...

eh, what? Galaxy S unsupported...? What are they drinking? I mean, eh, I actually *have* that thing running (smoothly) on my Galaxy S and I don't just mean the free version, I bought the full game. Seems kinda weird if they now say SGS is unsupported...?

I have it on my Fascinate and it runs great, I was just wondering how it scaled with the tab... disconcerting to hear something like that to say the least.

Anyone knows how to get Storm8 games working on the Tab?
It messes up something in the login procedure with user/password.
Works in fullscreen:
Frodo 64
Zelda Lite
Air Controli Lite
Mahjong Fullscreen but tiles are in the top of the screen in the menu isntead of centering.
Works but NOT Fullscreen:
Pac man chamionship comes in upper left corner
Pong 2/3 size in center
Robo defense 2/3 in center
Speed forge 3d 2/3 in center
Solitaire 2/3 in center
Minesweeper for Android 2/3 in center
Reversi 2/3 in center

m.kongregate.com has a over 100 fullscreen enabled flash games. I've been on it all day.

How the hell do you log in to Gameloft live for multiplayer?
I enter my username but am not able to move to the password field to enter any text?!!

You enter your username, then press enter with the games onscreen keyboard, then you can put password in.

Tried that, the keyboard just pops out & back in again in the username field.

Strange, the game has its own skinned keyboard ingame, there shouldnt be any keyboard popping up and down, make sure you have downloaded the correct version of the game.

Just to let everyone know, if you are on Tmobile (UK) and you go to the WAP store on your play its buy 1 get 1 free today . So i will be buying Dungeon Hunter 2 and something else!
No sure if this is for all operators as it goes straight to the Tmobile billing site for me.

Dungeon Hunter 2 is now my favourite game on the Play.

Its now 99p (UK), have completed Star Battalion & Asphalt 6.
Only got BackStab, N.O.V.A 2, Lets Golf 2, Rainbow Six, Sacred Odyssey, Starfront Collision, Spider Man and of course Dungeon hunter 2 to complete

you forgot brothers in arms 2 and modern combat 2

This is a pretty damn good game. IMO.
Without realizing I played it for 1.30hours straight trying to level up my character.
The 512mb of ram on the xplay is a real shame though, my memory hits 40mbs free when I play this, and it chugs along every now and again as the system tries to free up memory.
Still a very good game and the use of the analog pads is very good.

When modern combat force closes, hold the home button and launch it again from the quick apps menu, its a known bug

This surely would be a great game if only it wasn't so utterly easy to complete. Its like the leveling of the character is to easy and the game is getting less and less challenging as you go.

Multiplayer only works between the same game versions, so you can only play dungeon defenders:SW with other DD:SW players, ie xperia play owners that have bought the game.
If you install DD:FW you will still have the same chars and u can play with others

Not sure if this is old news, i knew the game was coming but i dont think gameloft officially announced XP optimization.
Game has promise even though it is a clone of GTA.

No not that one.
It's got a black background with drop down menus for the game categories. That's what I remember of it

The game was released for Android devices now but i cant find a Xperia play version.

But Gangstar: Miami Vindication looked better.

Gangster miami vindication looked better? Whats wrong with your eyes? 9mm is based on Unreal Engine. It look almost better than GTA San Andreas. Miany Vindication suckt and has grific worse than GTA3.

Miami Vindication was alright. I used to play it on my iPod.

NOVA 2 says that as well but if you download it and run it it says its not compatible. The only Gameloft games that actually work on the play need to be downloaded direct from the http://wapstore.gameloft.com store.

9mm is xperiaplay optimized. I have downloaded it on Market. This game is awesome!!

I'm being sarcastic, but I really am skeptical after Order & Chaos came out compatible with Xperia PLAY... but only worked with touch controls.

So is it compatible with the hardware controls or not? Anyone tried it yet?

I just downloaded this from the market and I can confirm firstly it is epic and not like a Gameloft game at all, has polish!
Secondly yes it is fully optimized for xperia play, well with buying!
