Mass Effect - Infiltrator out now. Somebody know about Play controls support?[UPDATE] - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

So yeah guys, it's available on Google Play, and I thinking about buying, but I don't know if this support our hardware touchjoys....Anyone want to try and reply back?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.games.meinfiltrator_row
Thanks in advance .
[UPDATE]: Unfortunelly, for now, version 1.0.30 from Google Play does NOT have Xperia Play gamepad support. Maybe we need wait for EA Flexion Store version, still no correct info about it. But without it - I tested already - and I can say it's very good stuff - good optimalisation (it's EA, not Gameloft ), nice controls and good graphics. Storyline should be good too (it's Mass Effect, yep? ), but can't tell after 10minutes of gameplay. Bye guys! ^^

Nice.. it looks similar to Dead Space. Hope it has gamepad support!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vICzsa6XvE

just sore this FU*Cking hope it has dead space controls. Downloading it now but my net is sh*t.

On Google Play it show that R800i/Play has support for this game, hope full (with gamepad), not only hardware (1GHz + Adreno 205).

i just downloaded the game, and it doesn't appear in the XPLAY launcher. hopefully its still fun with touch controls

Wtf not available in my country :banghead:

I'd imagine it'd be like all other EA Games, where the Xperia Play Optimized version is only sold on the EA Flexion store.

Tested - Google Play version does NOT have working Xperia Play gamepad. I will update first post and name of thread. Sorry guys. Maybe we should really wait for EA Flexion Store version, like TLRtheory said.

I got it also no play controls in USA either I got refund. Ill wait for play optimized

Hmm I'd also like to see a good sixaxis controller map, its going to take forever to map this one hah

I've just watched the trailer and the interview with one of the developers on YouTube.
This game looks epic! The deadspace engine has come a long way and if they port the deadspace xperia play controls over to this game we are surely looking at a five star futuristic deus ex (voice actor from first deus ex game is in this) come mass effect single player badass of a game.
I cant wait for it to be "xperia play optimised".
This is type of calibre of gaming that the Xperia Play owner should be experiancing daily!

Never mind, I saw only the first post in this thread.

Sorry to dissapoint you guys but there's no plan for XP controls for now for this game 100% sure.

Has anyone checked to see if the GameKeyboard App that allows you to pair the touch screen with the XP's gamepad (dpad, X, O, square, triangle keys) will work with MEI?
Looking your way TLRtheory as you reviewed this multiple times.
Have you tried it out yet?

Nice graphics for Xperia Play
So I change to 1.2 GHZ and runs perfect

I bought it and tried on my xperia play and my toshiba thrive, the controls are cool but seem easier on my tablet. I don't really see a way to convert them fluidly to our controller tho.

My view in Shadowgun

I've never really properly got into an optimized game for our phone and found the touchpads terrible. However I've started to pay shadowgun and it is unreal. I'm hooked on it. Feels like a proper game, as if I'm sitting in front of my xbox and the controls are close to perfect. Really gives me hope for the touchpads and proves that they don't have to be hopeless.
By far the best purchase I've made for my play and there's now an expansion pack for it that I noticed but I haven't played it yet, haven't completed the first story.
Definitely worth buying and restoring your faith in the almighty Play!

I agree. It feels like a your playing a console game on the Xperia Play. I'm loving it
Dead Space and Bad Company 2 also have excellent controls. They're also free
Where can I get bad company 2 from? I can't find it on the market
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
It's definitely nice, but my faith in the Xperia PLAY never really staggered to begin with.
If you'd played Dead Space, you would've known a loooong time ago that the Xperia PLAY touch-pads are a more-than-competent means of control input (and also got a sneak peek at the standards in which Shadowgun worked up to). Even outside that, there's so many other devs that have used the touch-pads perfectly that it pretty much is just Gameloft being typical Gameloft... Lantansia, Halfbrick, TwoHeads, NaturalMotion, Art in Games, Glu Mobile, Angry Mob Games and so many more have already established that the touch-pads can work extremely well with high quality titles.
shadowgun is good, so is fifa 12.

I purchased Shadowgun yesterday but the came constantly crashes [kicks me out to the home menu after the video sequence], anyone else have this problem?

Dead Space hardware controls not working

I picked up Dead Space from the Android Market recently on my Play, and the hardware controls don't seem to respond at all. Does it matter if I pick up the game from the android market or from the xperia play launcher?
15 minutes went by before I had the game loaded up. EA doesn't respond to my emails. Feels bad man. I haven't been able to find anything on Google about this issue, I'll keep searching though.

So wait, where did all the people in youtube get their .apks then?
EDIT: nevermind.
i bought it yesterday fo 49pence thinking it was for the play, off the market giveaway prices, guess that was a fluke, i also use it on my tf101, what an awesome game, and real pity not optimized for our play.
The EA free version works (1.1.33), the Play Store version (1.1.38) doesn't works in our phone.
This is a absolute disgrace by EA iv sent emails with my purchase and no response! I sent a email from my iPhone and guess what they answered straight away fuming I am !! Still no fix :-(
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
any way to grab a .33 version of the apk...i did purchase it, should ea let me pick my version that works...stupid ea
Its absolutely ridiculous that they cant just make the market versions compatible, but instead make us jump through these stupid hoops to get the correct version for our phone.......sigh.......
It's idiotic that EA, or any other dev, doesn't just update all their games with the Xperia Play in mind and just have the code check for it. Especially since I didn't get a chance to really test out the game until after the 15 min window was up.
well for what its worth i sent in a support ticket about dead space two and the correct versions...
also sent gameloft a ticket about NOVA 2 and the lack of support unless i go through them, even though its not stated in android market...even on gamelofts site it shows the xperia play and nova 2 on it..
humm...stupid companies
Only 1.1.33 works on Xperia Play. I solve mine by download 1.1.33 apk and get the SD of 1.1.38... but what's the different between 1.1.33 and 1.3.38? Didn't understand EA.....
Will Real Racing 2 get xperia play optimized ? Or are EA just too stubborn to do that?

Help!
Even though I downloaded Dead Space from the Flexion store, it won't recognize the Xperia Play gamepad and touchpads and the only option it gives me for playing the game is with the touchpad controls. I checked and it is v1.1.33. I also wanted to download Battlefield: Bad Company 2. But it says it isn't compatible with my device. Is the problem that it doesn't recognize my device as an Xperia Play? I really want to play both these games so badly.

Final Fantasy III released... with no Xperia Play support.

Final Fantasy III on Google Play Store
I was so excited that I bought it instantly. I already have this on my iOS4 device... but I'm really worn thin of putting up with gaming on that 3:2 dinosaur... putting it on Xperia Play would've made me care less about the PSP remake that would suffer from upscaling on Vita!
...unfortunately, the screen size seems to only consider 800x480 res, and there's no Xperia Play controls. How much 'ya think we'd have to bug them to get physical control support? You'd think touch would be okay for RPGs, yet we have Eternal Legacy feeling 5x better with physical controls, and I really don't feel like stepping down from that.
Are they sh!tting me!!! $16 bucks for it! If it had xperia play support I would possibly consider it, but touchscreen only at that price.... screw it...

btw for me is a good game, liked it on the DS, but i had finished it on the DS so i won't buy the android version (maybe if they do a porting of final fantasy tactics i will buy it, but ff 3 or 4 no)

I understand if you guys are disappointed by the price tag and little optimization. But at least it's available for everyone now. This is just one step from having Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and the other Squeenix games available on Android in the future!:fingers-crossed:
Price probably will go down in time. Still not too bad for a indirect port of the DS game.
I am a little surprised the game even runs on the my touch slide 3g. How long as this been out in Japan?
Screen shots look good too. The wonders of better resolution than the Nintendo DS.
anyone tried this with Gamekeyboard?
If i have it i'd definitely try out gamekeyboard. Based on the SS gamekeyboard should work.
OOT: anyone knows how to configure gamekeyboard for it to continually press the X? Macro?
Sent by Abie Cruz via Xperia PLAY r800i
If it works with Gamekeyboard I might consider it... want to see SE bring more stuff to Droid but... the controls thing really blows
I bought the game. If you consider the price for the DS version and the content you get out of it, it's not too bad. Plus the iOS version is the same price wise.
2 questions though. Where are the savegames located? Because I have also the Nexus S and I don't always have the Xplay with me.
And most importantly: The language apparently is the same as your device language. Which is german for me. Can I somehow force english language just for the game without having to change the device language? I have root.
Found it, there's a save.bin in this folder.

I agree with DiKej in his first post - the game runs RIDDICULOUSLY smooth (high for every graphics setting and absolutely no lags at all!) and it's great. Gameloft guys should learn from these guys how to optimize the game. Another good game SCREAMING for Xperia PLAY touchpad support.

Greetings Crescent Moon games. I already played through Aralon on my old iPod Touch more than a year ago, and that was the best iOS game I had ever played. Now I own an Xperia Play and I found out Aralon was released for Android on Amazon. Me, and the whole Xperia Play community, think that optimizing this game for our gamepad (including analog touchpads) would be the absolute best thing ever happened to our phones. That would be a true Elder Scrolls-like experience. I tried using apps like Joystick Center 6 and Game Keyboard with Aralon, but they don't work.
Thanks a lot for your attention.

It seems like the only real issue is they don't have phones to test it out. Can we do something about that? Maybe a donation, or emailing sony, or even offer ourselves to test every beta optimized version. I'd do that.
What do you guys think? The game doesn't seem to work with joystick center (the app shuts down when the game runs), and with gamekeyboard (i found out that the circle button actually works but that's it. Strange...)

Hmm... not trying to advertise my site here, but XperiaPlayGamer has a section especially devoted to developers who want to Xperia Play Optimize a game, but don't have a device to test on. It doesn't cover touch-pads but it could get it to a playable state on an essential basis. We could try e-mailing them that?
We *need* to email that to them. I'll take care of it. I also wanted to focus on the gamekeyboard fact about circle button working... i think it has to do with the relationship between the game and apps like that.
edit: he answered "wow thanks!!!" for his iphone. He seems really enthusiastic about this. If they manage to fully optimize this title, the Xperia Play will be on a whole new level, guys.

All is lost. Goodbye world... waaaaaaa!
EDIT: If they left out the Xperia PLAY due to its ancient hardware, what's the point of making it Gingerbread-compatible altogether? I think it's safe to assume that devices stuck on GB up to today are weaker or at par with the Xperia PLAY. So what's the point Rockstar?

We have a new PS3/X-Box 360 game just ported to the Xperia Play today -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576702
Its Rockstar and the 3rd party dev (War drum studios) that ported it that is the issue here. If they had any care in the world for Android (IOS Fanboys) this game would have been made better and for more devices. Take alook at the market listing, it seams it does not work on any device even if they are modern at the momment.

It's getting one star reviews because it's crashing for some people. They've already patched it once today but it needs another. It's going to be the best game ever once they get passed this latest issue.
The Google Play version lists Android 3.0 as the minimum requirement but the Amazon listing says Android 2.3 which is most likely due to it needing to be compatible with the kindle fire. I wonder if the Amazon version will work if they make it available to devices outside the kindle fire, it doesn't look like it's going to have a kindle specific version.

On both of them i have problems with gamepad and touchpads so i cant say anything about xpo optimization
But the game is not working well on it
It will be closed when you go home and when you wana play a massion and ...
But the game itself is as fast as gta vice city
I think the problem is related to ram
Can swap partition work exacly as ram?
Because even angry bird go needs more ram (1gb)
I will try swap soon too
I enabled 256mg swap on my sd card then played gta san andreas with my 4.1.b.13
Everything worked fine
Only sometimes i have bad lags but i dont have closed game anymore
As i said before i cant test xpo optimization due to not working touchpads and gamepad in my rom
